After a solid month and a half of writing to her on damned near a daily basis, Mason was finally here at last. It was time to find out if she had been genuine about everything she said in regards to starting something over. He was no fool. He knew that he would still need to work towards gaining her trust again, even after everything they had said to one another. But at the same time, he had a hell of a lot of hope and optimism. A few short weeks ago, she couldn't even stand to talk to him. And now... She had all but invited him here... to her place.
The trip back home had been a long one. He'd been deployed in Africa, taking care of a few of the less hospitable areas of the country. It truly was a dog eat dog world out there and he was glad to be out of the jungle. But he knew damned well that it wasn't going to be a cake walk from there on out either. His LPO had hinted at where it was that they were going to be spending the next leg of their deployment once their 2 weeks of R&R were up, but he wouldn't outright give the lot of them that information. The only thing they knew was that it was going to be another one of those hot, sticky and sweaty places. Just another day on the job.
The moment he'd touched down at the airport, he'd hopped in a rental car and had booked it for Natasha's place. There was no place else he'd rather be. Normally, if he had a few weeks of down time, he'd find himself parked on his sister's couch for the duration, enjoying her company and her cooking. But this time around, things were different. Maria had her own family now. She had a husband and a baby on the way now. She didn't need her younger brother couch surfing anyways. And Mason wanted to be with Natasha. It was time to make amends and build bridges across that damned chasm he'd left when he'd never written her from BUD/S.
He'd been a kid then. He wasn't claiming he was a man now, but this was one hell of a stop to take in the right direction. He wanted to be man enough for her. Desperately. And he'd do everything in his power to make her see that he genuinely was trying. He wanted to make this work and would make it work.
Finally, he bounded up the stairs to her apartment. She had no idea that he was coming. He stopped in front of the door and swallowed hard before extending his arm. He hesitated a moment, looking down at the fact that he was still wearing his BDUs. Nothing special. Just a jungle camo print Navy uniform. But he hadn't had the time or patience to bother changing. Clutched in one hand were a dozen red roses. Maybe they were a little cheesy, but the moment called for a little bit of cheese. He loved Natasha and he'd go the extra mile for her. Finally, he straightened up and knocked at the door. This was it... Maybe you shoulda just shown up naked. Might save you the trouble. He smirked at the thought and stood by, waiting for her.

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD she was silent as Natasha moved across her apartment, pacing with the phone attached to her ear. her boss was talking about nothing in particular that was actually interesting to Natasha and she was actually growing quite bored and the yawn was proof of it. her eyes rolled once or twice as she continued to move, looking back to her desk to see the half written letter sitting there. at home, Natasha was a little more free about being fully dressed, plus she enjoyed being half naked while performing her job—or she did. it made things easier if she had to fake a moan as there was no real tough material blocking her from making herself moan when the actual male on the other end of the phone could not. she finally decided to cut her boss off, explaining that someone was on the other line and quickly hung up and proceeded to toss the phone onto the bed. it soon was buried under the sheets as she tossed things around as she searched for the pen that was once in her hand. she had to finish this letter, she had not written back to him in two days and she needed to feel that connection with him once more. his necklace, the gift that he had given her, sat next to the letter and had not really left that spot since she had unwrapped it. it seemed too precious, and too beautiful to actually put on her own neck so she left it half in the wrapping on the desk, ”dammit mason..” [/b] she cursed under her breath, her russian accent thick as ever as that part of her had never changed. the things that did change was her body, she was no longer the skinny, small breasted teenage girl that mason left and she had to show him what he gave up when he chose the seals over her. but that was then, Natasha was starting to gather some kind of understanding for what happened and she was slowly coming around to the idea that yes he did abandon her, but they were kids, young and stupid and both of them were scared. she had tied her silk robe back together, closing the two sides of the smooth cloth to cover up the only thing cover her body which was just a bra and underwear. her hair was a bit of a mess as she had been continuing to run her hands through it and ruffle the back. her body had just fallen back into the chair, the pen was now poised on the paper and prepared to finish the letter full of curses and other things. he was returning, but she wanted to know when—she was dying to know when. a single stroke into the next word and a knock came at the same time that her cellphone went off, and she was at a dilemma. the knock on the door was more important as it was in person but she pulled her cellphone off the bed and checked the id to see that it was in fact work. pressing the button on the screen as she lifted her body out of the chair and opened the door, her phone however slipped out of her hand as she looked to see mason standing there. her phone shut down as the battery popped out but her arms were already around his neck and pulling him for a kiss that she did not even have to think about, ”you fucking asshole…”[/b] she muttered against his lips as she kicked the door shut behind them and stepped over her dismembered cellphone. she poured everything into the kiss as she could not believe that he was standing there, but she knew one thing—she was never going to let him go again. her steps were moving back through the small apartment until they were almost to the bed which was just hidden by one wall, ”g-d I missed you..”[/b], her hands already working to remove his shirt. Holy christ. Natasha wasn't the same girl he'd left behind all that time ago. There was absolutely no denying that whatsoever. She was stunningly beautiful. For a moment, Mason wasn't sure he could breathe. She had been in the process of answering a call, it seemed, but the moment that she saw him standing there, the phone landed on the floor and her arms wrapped instinctively around him. He snaked one arm around her as she kissed the ever-loving hell out of him, but the other arm was holding the flowers away from the pair of them so that they didn't wind up getting crushed. Jesus. Had he ever had a better home coming before? He didn't think he ever had.
He laughed against her lips as she called him a fucking asshole even as she kicked the door shut. "I'll let the name calling slide... for now." He promised as he returned his lips to her own. By the looks of things, he was right when he had thought that he likely should have just shown up naked. She was more than willing to make quick work of his clothing it seemed. Mason paused only for a split second to toss the flowers on the nightstand beside her bed as she worked at the buttons on his shirt. "Nice to see you're making good on your promises." He commented. But then his hands were all over her body. How the hell could they not be? She was beautiful. Completely and utterly beautiful. And she was all his.
"I missed you too, Angel." He murmured, letting his hands sift through her hair a moment as he held her close to him. "I'd say I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was on my way home but... I think I liked surprising you a hell of a lot more." He admitted to her, unable to hide his grin. And then he was helping her remove his clothing. The usually meticulous soldier in him didn't give a damn about the uniform as it hit the ground. There was only one thing in the room that mattered to him and she was standing right there in front of him, touching him and kissing him as if she simply couldn't get enough of him. He wasn't going to complain about any of that. Not in the least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mason lay in bed with Natasha a while later with her splayed across his chest more or less. He hadn't felt this damned good in one hell of a long time. He couldn't remember a time when he'd last smiled as much as he was smiling now. Perhaps the last time he had smiled this much had been when he was still with her. Who the hell knew? He reached over to the bedside table and plucked a rose petal from the bouquet he'd gotten her before he'd arrived. He took the petal in his hands and stroked it along the length of her shoulder and down along the curve of her back and hip. "I think next time I'll listen to my conscience and just show up naked." He murmured, laughing even as he ducked his head a little to kiss the top of her head. "Have I mentioned how damned beautiful you are? Those pictures didn't do you justice, Babe. Not by a long shot."
He paused a moment and stared up at the ceiling before pillowing his head on one arm while continuing the trail the rose petal over her skin. "I was an idiot. I didn't know a good thing when I had it." He looked at her then. "And I'm only lucky you're willing to give me a second chance."

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD instincts took over as soon as her eyes laid on him, fighting for him in case because she knew that there was too much time to make up and not even time to actually make it up. he was home for two weeks and that was it, then he would return back to being deployed and Natasha would have to settle for letters being their only way of talking. it was hard enough that she hardly saw him but she waited for his letters to arrive almost every day and naturally, Natasha was just waiting for them to one day stop because that seemed to be the pattern between the two of them. one got scared, one got hurt, one got heart broken and everything just shattered for them. now, she had a chance to make it something and he had two weeks to prove to her that he was not going anywhere anytime soon. her lips were pressed to his in an instant though, working to remove the uniform that was covering his body. ”I don’t break those…” [/b] at least not usually, she broke promises to herself as the proof was the fact that they eyes had met and she was falling for the male all over again and they had hardly spoken two words to each other. he tasted familiar but different, he had matured and grown up and that was seen on his face which was no longer consumed with baby fat, her hands ran across his body and she could feel the sculpted abs through his uniform which resulted in a moan from her lips. ”I’m going to kick your ass for not telling me and giving me a near damned heart attack…and possibly causing me to break my phone..”[/b] but her cellphone was the last thing that was on her mind—it was all about mason at the moment. she kept her promise as their clothes hit the floor, not that she had much to take off but his uniform was far too layered for her liking but she still made it through the layers to touch skin and her hands and lips found almost every part of him as they fell back onto the bed. it felt exactly as it did when they were young and stupid but this time, it was the real thing. they were adults now, they were no longer scared of commitment or worried about grades or their peers, everything was for them, everything was them. a little while layer, knocked out from the activities and fighting to even keep her head up, Natasha’s shoulders rolled to the soft material of the petal rushing across her bare skin, letting out a small moan of satisfaction. ”that was too many fucking layers…it’s warm here, I’m sure it’s warm there, you must be sweating your balls off.”[/b], always the crude one, vulgar in every way but that was just who she was and Natasha was not going to change that for anyone. she smiled, actually had a large smile across her face as she picked her head up and moved to rest her chin on his chest, matching her breathing to his. she felt relaxed, calm and happy which was something that Natasha had not felt in a long time, ”I think you have said it once or twice but I never get tired of hearing it. and I got to say that you have certaintly grown up mason, fuck, when did you get such a body..”[/b] she asked before placing her hands on either side of his head and pushing herself up to catch his lips in a kiss. she was going to be stealing many kisses as the days went on because Natasha was sure that she was going to miss him when he left and did not return back to her for a few more months. ”we were young and stupid. and yes, you are and this is your last chance..”[/b], reaching up to poke his nose, ”so don’t fuck it up.”[/b]. He grinned at her as she told him all of the things that she was going to kick his ass for. But they both knew the truth. She wasn't going to kick his ass for a damned thing. He knew that this was what it could have been like all along for him if he would have made the damned effort and done what he needed to do to make sure that they remained together. But as he had said before... he'd been a stupid kid and he hadn't realized how much he had loved her until he'd lost her. He was only glad that he was getting a second chance with her and he was hell bent that he wasn't going to screw this shot up. He genuinely cared about her and wanted to make sure that she knew that. He had to make sure that she knew that.
He laughed when she commented on his uniform. "Honestly... the uniform I was just wearing is more for show than anything. Usually the guys and I wind up wearing a long sleeve shirt and cami pants. A little cooler, but not much." He admitted to her with a shrug. "I guess when you're used to sweating your ass off in a warmer climate for a good chunk of the year you notice it less and less." He admitted to her. And it was the truth. She called Myrtle Beach 'warm' right now. He was actually kind of cool at the moment, even in spite of what they had just done. And as she had mentioned in one of their letters earlier... She was exhausted and he was barely winded. And he loved every moment of it. But it didn't mean that a sleepy sort of satiation hadn't come over him already. He was definitely very content.
He laughed when she said that he had definitely grown up and then proceeded to ask where it was that he had gotten such a body. He couldn't remember having laughed this much unless he was in Dylan's presence for one hell of a long time. He loved every minute of it. Loved every minute he was spending with her. "Somewhere between nearly losing it all and finding myself along the way." He admitted to her. He paused a moment and shook his head. "I was lost, Natasha. I didn't know where the hell I was or what the hell I was doing until I joined BUD/S. And then, suddenly, I had a purpose. I knew I loved you... even back then but I felt... I couldn't do anything for you. I couldn't help you. I couldn't give you the life you deserved. I wanted... so badly to..." He choked on the words. He wanted to marry her. He had definitely wanted to marry her. "I'd wanted to propose to you but I couldn't bring myself to do it. You deserved better than the boy I was at the time."
She rose up then, planting a hand on either side of his head. His hands rested on her hips as he looked up at her. "Not a chance in hell that I would fuck this up, Angel. Not after how much persuading it took to get me this far. Not after knowing how miserable my life is without you in it with me." He nuzzled her neck and kissed her shoulder. "Hey... just a thought... I know what you do for a living and all now but, come on... it's gotta be pretty shitty trying to get yourself to sound sexy when you have some of the shittiest slimeballs in the world calling on you sooo..." His hands slid a little further along her hips. "Let me help you work." He gave her a mischievous little look. Yes. He was definitely suggesting that he make producing the right reactions for her job a little more... authentic.

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD it amazed her how fast that she reacted to him being there and where they were now. she had not planned to just fall into bed with him but after the pictures, the conversation, the longing for him and the letter flirting, she had to have him and boy did she ever. her breath had finally caught up to her while he appeared relaxed already, and speaking freely about anything. shaking her head to the mention of uniform, she pressed her lips against his once more as she was not in the mood to talk about his job, or her job. she did not want to think about how she had to be flirtatious and seductive in twisted fetish like scenarios when she had everything to get her going right there. lying on his chest was calming as she felt his heart beating against his skin and his chest rose and fell and so did she. he was stronger than her in everyway and she could not help but smirk as her lips moved against his. she was stronger in the sexual aspect as it was one thing that she had always dominated in and it was the biggest reason that she had made it her profession. selling herself on the side of the road would have been easier and faster but Natasha had too much pride for that, so using her sultry accent and her soft voice to entice a male into a pleasure zone was probably the lesser of two evils but it was still a double edged sword. she nodded to him, her chin now resting on his chest as she had finally picked her head up and was slowly losing the desire to sleep as she did not want to miss another any time with him, even just looking at each other with no words is enough. ”fascinating mason.” [/b], she mumbled, rolling her eyes but giving him a signature smirk before stealing another kiss. ”that was deep..”[/b] but she continued to listen with some hesitation until the final words were spilled and her eyes widened. she knew what her answer would have been then and she was quite sure that the answer had not changed since she was a teenager. marriage was just not a good look on her, and she hardly saw it anywhere in her future but she could have said the same thing about the male lying under as well. it was a tough thing to think about, ”just being there would have been enough. money, family, all of that would have come on it’s own but support was what I fucking needed mason.”[/b]. her soft words grew harsher as the bitter memories rose of him leaving on that day, and driving home with nothing but tears rolling down her cheeks after learning that he had taken off and actually left her to her own devices. they were kids then though and that was what Natasha kept telling herself in order to calm herself down because mason would have a handprint on his cheek if she thought further about it. ”and proposing that young would have been insane of you, and I would have declined..”[/b] but she realized how harsh that sounded and decided that clarification was in fact needed, ”and not because I didn’t love you, or want to be with you but because we were both lost, we were both young and we had yet to even find an identity for ourselves, how could we have expected to last?”[/b] and the answer was simple enough, they wouldn’t have. she was growing more confident in the fact that he was actually here and that he was actually going to stay by her side but she could not help think about the deployment moments where he would disappear for months on end. those months was where everything had changed for her the first time, what would stop her from having her mind changed again? ”you make it sound like you weren’t even alive mason. your life is not that terrible, it’s just amazing now that I’m back in it..”[/b] and again, she took the chance to steal another kiss from his rough lips. ”ooh those are rare for you..”/[/b] she teased, giggling to the feeling of his lips finding her shoulder, rolling her hips into his as she felt his hands sliding along the smooth skin of her bare hips, ”not hard for me to sound sexy. I can make anything sound sexy babe..”[/b], but her eyebrow was raised as she heard him offer to help her, ”my phone is over there, and we are over here…besides, I would end up moaning your name..”[/b] because all of the work would be his, and she could not discredit that to someone else. He laughed when she claimed that what he had said was 'fascinating', but she said it in the most sarcastic voice... He had to roll his eyes. He knew she wasn't in the least bit entertained by talk of his job and he could understand why given the fact that it was the reason that they had broken up in the first place. He kissed her lips quickly. "Fine. No more talk about my job unless you bring it up, ¿si?" He asked her with a slight grin on his face. He was just too damned happy at the moment for his own good, but he was loving every moment of it. He was loving spending every second of it with the incredible woman who was laying on top of him at the moment.
He could tell, the moment her eyes widened when he mentioned the marriage thing, that she was a little freaked out about it. He ran a soothing hand down the center of her back. "Calm down, Quierdo. I've grown up since then. Happily ever after isn't necessarily the number one thing on my mind these days." He admitted to her. "Baby steps... one thing at a time. I'm nowhere near the idea of proposing these days. Maybe one day... but not yet." The last thing he needed was for her to freak out and run in the other direction. He could only imagine what she felt about the idea of marriage these days. He'd gone and broken her heart into a thousand pieces and he hated himself for having done it. Clearly, her image of happily ever after had been tainted as well.
He sighed when her words grew harsh again. He shouldn't have started in on this topic. "I know, Quierdo." He soothed her gently. "And I'm not making excuses for myself. If there's one thing I've learned since we've been apart, it's accountability. I won't lie to you. I won't make up excuses. I won't cower in fear and pass the blame. If I was in the wrong, I own up to it because lying will only get someone hurt." He said pointedly. It was a lesson that he had learned well enough from his job. Lying could definitely get people killed in his line of work and a liar just wasn't the type of guy that you wanted at your back watching your six all the time. Some of the personalities in his platoon may have been intense from time to time, but not a single one of them was a liar.
He paused a moment, swallowing at the sting in her words when she said that she wouldn't have accepted the marriage proposal. Logically, he understood it damned well. But it didn't stop the emotional reaction and the knee jerk grind of hurt that rocketed through him. He didn't expect her to welcome the idea of marriage with open arms... Certainly not now... But that hurt. He took a deep breath and looked at her levelly. "I agree." He said simply. "I would have been insane to propose, but I've always jumped the gun when I knew there was something I wanted. But I know a lot more now than I knew then. But I do agree. It would have been madness." He tried his best to keep the hurt out of his tone, but it was damned hard. Even with her soothing away at his ego... the knee jerk response she gave was enough to grind his gears a bit.
She was right. They wouldn't have lasted. He was a strong believer in the idea that everything happened for a reason. He had found Natasha earlier in life and then he had lost her. But with her giving him a second chance, because of what they had been through, he didn't doubt that they had one hell of a potential to keep at a stronger bond between the pair with emotionally sound decisions and trust that only two adults could share. He just needed to be patient and not screw everything up. He could do that. He would do that.
He laughed at her response to him and what he said about what his life was like when she was gone. "Who would have thought that I'd turn out to be the poetic one and you'd wind up being the 'cut to the chase' girl?" He asked, arching a brow at her. "But seriously, Tasha... It sucked being without you." He murmured, brushing his hand through her hair. He knew she understood, on some level, but she was trying to hold on to that independence that he admired the hell out of her for. She was strong. He laughed at her comments about her phone being on the other side of the room. "Hell... I'm not saying right now. Definitely not right now. This is our time." He commented. "But it might be fun sometime in the future... if you manage to get someone who's not super creepy on the line." He admitted. "We can practice. When you feel you're about to let loose a moan, start yelling 'Spongebob Squarepants'. Then you'll be able to substitute my name for just about anything without bursting into laughter eventually." He grinned at her. He was clearly teasing her at this point. And damn... it felt good. It felt so good.

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD work was not something that she wanted to discuss with the estranged male—it was what kept them apart, it was what kept a roof over their heads but it made their relationship more difficult. her phone was currently the only thing that kept her connected to her job and it was laying by the door in pieces due to their reunion with one another. his job was far worse, taking him halfway around the world, ”hey if you want to talk about work, I can surely talk about mine if you would like to hear about how I my voice is being used to get guys off..” [/b], a smirk spreading across her lips as she already knew that she had won. but there was still a smile on his face as they laid together, naked and hot and bothered from the sex. a sheet was what was covering them, keeping their skin from fully touching as it was wrapped around her body, keeping her warm and cozy—and having no desire to move. ”good..”[/b] she hissed out, if talking about her job was not something she wanted to discuss, then she did was certain that the topic of marriage was off the table as well. ”…not yet. not ever…at least, not for the time being. you are too fucking flighty and I’m too fucking damaged for that shit.”[/b] and Natasha knew it. she did not even have to deny it or argue against the fact that the girl was damaged in everyway possible from physical scars to emotional but mason was not much better off either. she had to keep herself grounded and staying put as the temptation to get up was growing stronger but his voice, soothing and calm, was what was keeping her laying on him for the time being. ”you better not. truth or nothing at all.”[/b] because honesty was what was needed for the two of them. she needed to hear him be honest with her or else they had nothing between them and natasha would be kicking him out of her house for good. it seemed that mason knew that she was not going to take him back for a third time and he was damned lucky that she even took him back this time around. looking over to him, she saw the hurt start to form in his eyes and her brows furrowed, ”what?”[/b] she asked softly, one of her hands reaching up to brush across his jaw. she then realized what would be causing that pain, her saying no and again, it was honesty and it was harsh. she had no desire to get married at such a young age, and Natasha knew that they wouldn’t have survived in the brutal real world until they both matured and apparently, they had to do that apart. now, they were both ready to rekindle what they had originally sought to achieve which was to be together until the end, and this was round two and the final round for natasha. ”it would have been worse than fucking madness mason…it would have been clinically insane for us to have gotten hitched at that age and even more so if you even had a shred of confidence that we would have fucking made it..”[/b], she had confidence in them but not against the forces of the world that would try and rip them apart at every turn. it seemed that was already happening now as they tried to fight to be with one another and she finally agrees, and he got deployed. ”stranger things have happened mason, but you know I was always the take charge kind of girl..”[/b] her hands running down his arms before slowly pinning his wrists above his head just to press another kiss to his lips. ”well…I got to say that I didn’t actually care for being apart from you either but it was needed…so this could happen.”[/b], she whispered against his lips before slowly loosening her grip on them and letting her hold go all together while slowly rolling off his body and laying next to him. ”well you should be more specific next time because that phone is always ringing..”[/b] and it was not just for work but for her social life as well. ”hm..might be hard but I’m sure I can get some normal guy and if you think that I am yelling spongebob while I orgasm, you are fucking out of your g-d damned mind. I don’t have a cartoon fetish mason…..”[/b] and then her voice started to fade as she saw the grin on his face and her eyes slowly narrowed while she shook her head, ”you are an asshole.”[/b] she grumbled, her head falling back onto the pillow and nestling herself into the crook of his arm. ”but you do know that we will need a lot of practice for that to happen…I believe you are the one that gets off before me as our phone call clearly demonstrated.”[/b], a wicked grin spreading across her lips before her tongue flicked out to moisten them and to taste him. taking in a deep breath, Natasha rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling for a moment before letting out a slow sigh, ”going to miss this…do you really have to go back?”[/b] because they had just gotten started and already, they had to end it.[/div][/center]

Mason winced a little when she mentioned the fact that she used her voice to get men off... That was her job. Yeah. He got the hint. She didn't want to talk about work. He understood that, but at the same time, it was the one thing that was going to wind up separating them if they wound up ignoring it for too long. He didn't want to be separated from her again. He knew what it was to live without her and he never wanted to go through that again. He never wanted to experience that again and he sincerely hoped that she didn't want to have to live through that experience either. He had a damned good feeling, after all of the warnings that he'd received that she was just as keen to steer clear from that path as he was.
He was quiet as she said her peace about the whole idea of marriage. He knew they were nowhere near that stage but, at one point, he'd been an all too eager kid who had believed in happy endings. But he'd learned a while ago that things weren't always like that. Things didn't just fall into place for you like they did in the movies. He learned the value of hard work. Real hard work. He knew that a relationship was very much the same and for any man in his position, you had to work even harder at it than some people. And he knew that he had to pick up the slack in the relationship because it was him that was choosing this line of work. It was him that was making this decision and he needed to do what was right for the both of them as well as what was right for himself. He would never be the man she needed him to be if he wasn't happy.
He had to smile to himself when she was her same old aggressive self. She needed to assert her power over the situation. She was adorable as hell when she did it. She was about the only person in the world that he'd take orders from and actually enjoy taking them from. Sure, when he was issued an order through work from one of his superiors, he gladly jumped to and got it done because he knew he had to... but it didn't mean he always enjoyed it. He doubted she realized just how much power she had over him, but he wasn't about to reveal that either just yet. Lord knew that she'd get that smug look on her face and he'd be screwed for life.
He closed his eyes as she started justifying herself. "I know, Tasha... I know... But... It still sucks to hear it and I can't control the fact that that's the way I feel." He shrugged. "But logically, I'm right on the same page as you are, Babe." He told her, blinking his eyes open and looking at her again so that she could see the honesty right there, plain as day, in his eyes. "I know we wouldn't have made it looking back on it all now. I know that. I guess a part of me still believes in happy endings." He commented, giving an almost bitter laugh. "Which makes me wonder if there isn't something wrong with my damned head after all of the shit I've seen and done." He raked a hand through his hair. God help him.
And then she was pinning him to the bed and he had to admit to himself that he liked that just a little too damned much. A take charge kind of girl...? Hell, she was way beyond that at this point and it was sexier than hell. His gaze followed her as she rolled off of him again and lay beside him. "We both had a lot of growing up to do." He rolled over on his side and splayed a palm over her stomach, rubbing small circles along her navel beneath the sheet as he smirked at her. "And damn, did you ever grow up nice." He commented. He couldn't help himself. She was gorgeous. She was absolutely gorgeous. Not that she hadn't been before. She definitely had and he'd thought himself the luckiest kid in the world. And now... Now he knew he was the luckiest man in the world, hands down.
He was grinning the whole while she went off on her little rant. He couldn't help himself. "I've been called worse." He grinned at her, leaning in and planting a kiss on her neck, nipping at the skin there a moment before pulling back. A little sweetness could go a long way towards tempering her mood a little bit. Really... she couldn't be mad at him with a maneuver like that, could she? "Hey, hey, hey... We said nothing about me getting off at all in this little experiment, Queirdo. Just me... working on you a little bit. Because lord knows that I love doing it maybe just a little too much." He smirked at her. But his smile was short lived when she asked him if he had to go back. He wrapped an arm around her. "Yeah... You know I do... But I'll be back home again soon enough. And then you'll be screamin' at me to get the hell out of your hair." He smiled and pressed a kiss to her shoulder.

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD she had learned long ago that things did not worked out as planned and that life was going to mess everything up in the end but she was enjoying where life had taken her today. most nights would have been spent flipping through a magazine while using some fake accent to let a guy finish and then hang up and wait for the next call. her phone was lying on the floor, broken in two with the battery popped out and she never thought that she would like the idea as much as she did now. mason was all she needed in her life, since the rock in her life had passed on long ago, but he was just enough for her. her job, her apartment, her possessions were not important anymore now that she had the love of her life back and he had better hoped that he did not mess this time up because natasha was not sure she could take that amount of heartbreak again. he had been fortunate enough for her to forgive and slightly forget, a rarity when it came to her, and she was not going to let him forget just how lucky he was to be allowed back into her life but in a way, he already knew and she was already aware of that fact. ”you mean the page where we fuck like rabbits to rekindle the emotional connection that we once shared?” [/b] because the two of them never had a problem with getting the physical side started and this night was evident of that. ”two weeks is not that long…and we already have round one under our belts.”[/b] and with two weeks looming over their head, natasha was sure to get a good amount of time with mason in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, anywhere that she could because that physical attraction was almost too electric for her and she could not resist. natasha was too sexual for that, she knew how to get a male going with just her voice but no one really knew how she did it with her body but mason was familiar with her old tricks but he had yet to see her new ones. she gave his forehead a poke, giving him a nod before proceeding to give the same poked spot a nice flick and tilting her head to the side, ”sounded hollow to me.”[/b], grinning as she teased him once more. they were back to being teenagers almost, throwing passive aggressive insults at one another but still having that need to have skin to skin contact with each other. they were horrible teenagers apart but los angeles was tortured by the two of them when they finally got together and she did not regret a single second of it. the heartbreak after was a little tender of a spot for her but the moments before that, the electricity that was ignited between the two of them, the way that they rattled everything just right had been pure perfection. but it was not love, at least not as deep as the second round as they were too young to even know what life was or how to take it head on and it seemed that they each had to go through trials in order to see the truth. her hands were now holding his wrists above his head as she nipped along his jawline before finally catching his lips in a kiss. she was a dominate kind of girl and though she did not mind being under a guy, she needed to have the control that came with it and she knew just how to get it. mason was easy enough because natasha was aware of some of the power that she had over him and she could use that to her advantage if she had to, but that would be in the far future. currently, she was focusing on the two weeks that were going to come up fast and then he would be gone for an extended amount of time and her regular life would pick back up again. ”as did you, in…many places.”[/b], a smirk rising to her lips as one of her hands was moving down his stomach and continued to travel even lower, tracing the line of his abs and continuin¬g to move south. ”I know I have called you worse mason.”[/b] but she was unsure of what other people had called him, or what kind of guy he was when he was around other girls. he appeared to have the sexy, suave thing down pat but she wondered what his pick up lines were, if he cuddled with a girl after, and suddenly her fingers were wrapped around the blanket and she was holding the fabric in a fisted hand. where did that reaction come from? sighing softly as she slowly loosened the grip on the blanket and then proceeded to slowly roll off his naked body, ”you sure you could stop at just a little bit, because as you said, you enjoy doing it, just a little too much..”[/b], she grinned but of course, natasha liked it being done just a little too much. the way mason did it was different from any guy, his touch was gentle and loving but he knew how to get her going with just his fingers and that drove her crazy. as much power as she thought that she had over him, he had just the same power over her but that was not going to be revealed to him anytime soon. ”if I scream your name, I’m going to end up punching you in the arm.”[/b] but she could not help but chuckle as the scenario slowly played out in her mind before she felt an arm move around her waist and pull her close, flush against his body. ”hm..dont’ worry, I’ll shave.”[/b] and being natasha, she did not mean the hair on top of her head. she ended it there because the fact that he had to leave was not something that she could bear thinking about, ”you wanna lay here all night and keep talking about our feelings…or want to actually do something?”[/b] she asked, glancing at him from over her shoulder. He laughed at her summary of exactly what 'page' they were on at the moment. "Yeah. I think I like that page. I think I like that page a lot." He commented with a grin, unable to help himself in the moment. It was so damned easy for him to be with her, but it was incredibly hard for him to be away from her. He knew that first hand. Even in the days in which they had started talking once again, even through their letters, it had been harder than hell for him to be thousands of miles away from her with nothing but a piece of paper with her hand writing on it to as a comfort to the woman that he had loved and lost so damned much. Being here with her, he knew, was only going to make being away from her harder yet, but at least he had hope. At least he had the hope of a future with her to keep guiding him along the right path.
He smirked when she said that they already had round one under their belts. "Yep. And we have a hell of a lot more to go." He told her. And he intended on making good on that promise. They'd always been explosive as hell when they'd been together... Ever since the first moment that they'd moved their attentions of one another's bodies well past the point of simply kissing and touching. There had been no turning back for the pair of them from that moment on. And he knew for a fact that the pair of them had a lot more experience to bring to the table these days. He hadn't thought that it could get any better than it had been when he'd left. But shit, he'd been so horribly wrong.
He wrinkled his nose and rubbed his forehead after she first poked and then flicked the same spot on his head. "Gee... Thanks. Nice to know you have so much faith in me." He commented with a roll of his eyes. And this was the way he always wanted it to be, even if it meant that he had to deal with her constantly poking fun at him. He wanted to be able to live and laugh with this woman. He had seen more death in the few short years that he had been a SEAL than an average community ever saw. It was more than enough to sober him up and give him an appreciation for all of the things in life that he had and had once had but had lost. It gave him a new found appreciation for the woman in his arms because he knew damned well that he could lose her or he could be lost to her forever at any given moment. It wasn't something he wanted to think about at the moment, but it was the truth.
Mason was laying there for a moment after she made the comment about knowing that she had called him worse over time. Oh, Lord, had she ever called him worse. He could remember the handful of letter's he'd gotten when he'd gone back on base after their training excercises on San Pedro Island. It had been nasty and he had felt like shit for weeks thereafter. Naturally, Dylan's response had been to go out, get him laid as many times as he could and, when he could manage it, get him as drunk as possible. He had appreciated the hell out of the effort at the time, but no matter how hard he had tried, he hadn't been able to get Natasha out of his head. For Dylan's benefit, he'd seemed to have move on for all intents and purposes, but the woman had always been lingering in the back of his mind.
But he didn't miss the vice like grip she took on the sheets for a moment before she forced herself to relax. He arched a brow at that, looking down at her for a moment before giving a hint of a smile. He didn't know what she had been thinking about to elicit that reaction, but he was willing to bet that, some how, some way, he had just won a little piece of her over. He shrugged a shoulder. "I love doing it, but I have a hell of a lot more discipline than I once did." He admitted to her. And that applied in most everything these days it seemed. He was able to keep his head in a lot of situations, which he was damned thankful for. He grinned. "If you wind up screaming my name, at least I know I'm doing my job right." He commented. He grinned at her and the dirty little comment she made. "You're bad. Damn bad. But so good." He smirked. And he didn't think he'd ever get enough of her.
He looked at her a moment and sat up after she asked him if he wanted to do something. He pressed a kiss to her shoulder. "Didn't we just do something?" He aksed before he tilted his head to the side. "What do you wanna do? You hungry? Wanna go grab something to eat?" He asked her, brushing his fingers through her already toussled hair.

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD her head tilted up to the ceiling which just showed off her long neck and her eyes slowly rolled to emphasis her words as she muttered, ”of course you do. you get laid and you got to fuck like a rabbit.” [/b] but that analogy seemed wrong in her mind as she wondered what would happen if they actually did. she did not see kids in her future or not until the male actually was stable and at home with her but all natasha could see was her and mason in her future now that he had returned back into her life. he seemed to understand how close he was to being kicked out of her life once again with just one slip up and he would be stepping on eggshells for a while but natasha had faith that he could actually do it. she had to keep in mind that he would be leaving in just two short weeks and not to get too attached to the male once more because then it would be nothing but letters and pictures and though she did not mind getting the sweaty pictures of him playing soccer while on break at the base, she would much rather have the real thing on top of her sweating from a whole different kind of activity. a grin came to her lips, her head tilting and her lower lip sucking in just to be chewed on for a moment before raising an eyebrow, ”and how many rounds do you think you have earned?”[/b] she asked with a serious tone that held an playful undertone. she knew that he would understand she was joking but she was more curious to see if he would actually answer it and with what explanation would come with the number that she was sure to be a high one. their tricks had changed but the chemistry in bed was still the same between them. she was still able to talk to him like he was a friend and then fuck him like they were lovers and that was exactly what she had been looking for since mason had departed from her life. it was one or the other and though the sex was great, the emotional attachment was needed for a girl like her and it seemed that mason was the only one that she would ever have that kind of connection with. he was it for her. he was everything now and he had to realize how damned lucky he was to be welcomed back in and knew that he was going to hold on for all that his life was worth. ”hm, maybe there is a cell or two but with as much rattling your head is going to be doing against the headboard, I think that will be fucking gone by the end of the two weeks.”[/b] and with that, another grin spread to her lips as she leaned down to catch his jawline, laying a line of kisses across it before pulling back once more. she felt the silence fill the air before it was even approaching as she too began to recall that last harsh letter, having felt like she was committing murderer with every stroke of her pen but she was mad and she was hurting and needed the comfort of her would have been ex and he was not around for her. she did not hate herself but she did hate the letter that she wrote, and she suddenly licked her lips, looking down at him. their eyes met for a mere two seconds before spoke, ”burn that mother fucking letter mason…”[/b], it was not at all a suggestion but a command by the tone of her voice would be suggesting. she did not want him to have it anymore, it was a new leaf and that letter was from the old branch. raising an eyebrow, her hips rocked into his as her eyes narrowed and she shook her head. ”you are still as horny as you were when you were a fucking teenager mason..”[/b] but so was she, and she would easily admit it. they had been like rabbits then too but with no experience, now their time apart had led them to new methods, new tricks and a whole list of surprises for each of them to uncover. ”but I’m curious about this discipline that you claim to have…I guess we will find out pretty soon cause that phone rings all the time damned time.”[/b], turning to look over at him with a chuckle, ”oh so good sounds about right. I don’t know what you are even talking about with being bad…”[/b], her lips hovered over his for just a moment, ”I’m a damned good girl..”[/b] and then she pulled back showing her own self control because no matter how much she wanted to kiss him, she would not give him or herself the satisfaction. she was thinking of it as practice for when he happened to walk out the door and return back to his base for another few months. ”we did and it was good but I worked up an appetite thanks to that workout. so, yes, food sounds delicious.”[/b], slipping out of the cover and not really caring about her lack of clothes. she bent over, grabbing her discarded underwear on the ground and slowly began to slide everything back on while putting on a bit of a show for him. ”your turn.”[/b], glancing at his pants on the floor near her feet before her eyes wondered back to his form, a grin spreading on her lips. He laughed at her apt summary of exactly what the pair of them were like when they got together. They were that bad and they both knew it, but he wasn't about to complain about it in the least. He'd missed her a hell of a lot and he was pretty sure that the pair of them were entitled to their own enjoyment and pleasure for the next two weeks, given everything that they had faced in the past and everything that they were likely to face in the future. He hadn't been there for her in the past when she had needed him most of all and he couldn't really blame her for the way she had reacted. They'd both only been kids and he hadn't put the effort into it like he should have. And he hadn't realized everything that he stood to lose until the moment that he actually lost her. It had nearly killed him and he had missed her just about every damned minute thereafter.
He looked at her speculatively when she asked how many rounds he thought he was entitled to. He shrugged a shoulder and looked as if he were seriously counting it out in his head. "Well... I figure... four or five times a day... over a fourteen day time period... give or take a little so... I'm gonna say at least 100." He commented with a dead serious face as he looked at her before he broke out into a grin a moment later. "Hope you can keep up." He teased her with a wink. But he knew damned well that every single time he was ready and willing to go, she'd be ready and willing to go. They were an incredibly sexual couple. There was no denying that fact in the least. Mason blamed it on his hispanic genes. Yeah... he'd go with that one.
He smirked at her comment about his head rattling against the headboard. "Oh really now?" He asked her, arching a brow at that. "See... Cuz I think it's you that's probably going to wind up losing the brain cells when I blow your mind." Such a cheesy and corny line, but Mason was rather infamous for them when he was in love. And there was only one woman he had ever been in love with and she was laying in that bed with him right at the moment. He knew damned well that she was used to comments like that from him. It was just who he was at the end of the day. "But I'll take your professional opinion into consideration and if I wind up with brain damage, I know who to direct the Navy's comments and concerns to." He smirked at her. But shit, the woman would likely wind up blowing his mind a few dozen times.
He looked at her for a moment, startled with the vehemence in which she told him to burn the last letter he'd gotten from her while he'd been in BUD/S. "Wha...?" He frowned a moment and looked at the fierce expression on her face. It was a command. It wasn't a request. He carried that letter with him everywhere. He had carried with him from the moment he'd received it. At first, it had been so he could study it and figure out how the hell to find her... how the hell to talk some sense into her. But as the months progressed and he realized that that just wasn't happening... It had served as a reminder for how much of a fool he had been and the fact that he had lost the only woman he knew he would ever love. He nodded after a moment and pressed a kiss to the corner of her lips. "All right, Quierdo. I'll burn it." He promised her. And maybe that was the first step in their healing. Mason couldn't help the way his heart swelled with the idea that she wanted to put the past firmly in the past.
He smirked at her when she told him that he was just as horny as when he had been a teenager. "Personally, I think it's just you that does it to me." He commented with a shrug of his shoulder. Which was true. Yes, he'd slept with a number of women over the duration of time that he had been away from Natasha and yet, at the same time, he had never been like this with any of those other women. He had never felt as if he could never get enough of them. With her, it was entirely different. He watched her as her lips hovered over his as she claimed that she was a good girl. His eyes were riveted on those beautiful lips, but a moment later, she was pulling away from him and he had to curse lightly. The woman just knew how to get him worked up. She knew too damned well and for a man who was so fucking used to being in control in life and of his surroundings, it was nice to lose control with her every once in a while. She was dominant and demanding and he loved every moment of it.
He watched her as she got out of bed and put that little show on for him. He pillowed his head on his arms which were crossed behind him as he watched her. Damnit she really knew how to get him going. And then she was glancing over at the pair of camo pants that he had laying on the ground where they'd fallen and he just had to laugh. He slung the bedsheet off of him and stood up, striding right on over to his pants. He wasn't shy. You couldn't afford to be shy in the world that he lived in. He snatched up his pants and threaded his legs through them, pulling them up over his hips and buttoning them in place. Nothing but the pants. As he belted up the belt, he headed back over to her and planted a kiss on her lips. "Payback's a bitch and you definitely deserve payback for that little show there." He commented. He wasn't about to throw on one of his BDU shirts as well, so he headed for the bag he'd brought with him and pulled out a clean white t-shirt, tugging it on. "So what's good to eat around here anyways?" He asked her, glancing over his shoulder at her in attempts to see her shimmy into a few more articles of clothing.
Damn she was hot.

. IT'S A MIXED UP MUDDLED UP SHAKEN UP WORLD her perfectly shaped eyebrow slowly began to arch as he spoke and she scoffed, snorting out to produce a sound of complete shock to what he was saying. the look on his face was a joke as he appeared to be actually calculating the amount of times that they would have to screw each other in a day times the amount of days that they had and even natasha was not able to come up with such a high number. ”fucking 100? your insanity has reached a whole new level, I don’t think you have had enough practice to do that much fucking in two weeks.” [/b] she spoke before shaking her head and brushing a hand through her dishevelled tresses. she looked back down at his face to see the grin plastered on his lips and her eyes began to roll, letting the tresses fall back into a messy spot and nodded, ”I can, it’s a good thing you are a seal. you are going to need a lot of endurance for this.”[/b] she spoke while giving his cheek a pat and chuckling. they were both going to be ready and it would be completely consensual whenever the other one was in the mood as it was not hard to get the other person going. mason knew all of the right spots to press, the right places to kiss and how fast and quick his movements should be in order to get her to fall back into the sheets with him. with two weeks though, that was not a lot of time and natasha had to guess that they were not going to be in the bedroom the whole time. ”whenever, wherever..”[/b] she whispered above his lips, letting her warm breath roll over his own plump lips before she slowly rolled off his body and fell to the spot beside him, her head resting on the crook of his neck. ”oh how clever you got since last time. but trust me babe, I will be the one rocking your world that it’s all you will think about…”[/b], giving his jawline a light nip before trailing her tongue along his skin until she reached his ear, biting down on his earlobe and giving it a gentle pull before whispering, ”you won’t even remember how to shoot a fucking gun.”[/b] which was essential for a navy seal but it was just how confident that natasha was in her ability. she was used to the comments, she was not going to lie and say that she always appreciated them but at this point, it was helping to convince her that this was not some sexual wet dream that would keep her insane without him—he was here, he was laying next to her and there was no doubt in her mind anymore that this was not reality. ”hm..i will happily explain to your commanding officer and the entire navy seals and all that you can’t shoot a gun out because I rocked your world and rattled your brain. I would be all too pleased to tell them…”[/b] she grinned while rolling onto her stomach and picking her head up to look at him. she had a grin on her face, just picturing the looks of the navy seals jaws dropping as she described every detail with a proud expression, it was a good image in her mind but completely unrealistic. she had never meant to really bring up that letter but she knew mason well enough to know that he kept it, and only that letter. the one letter that solidified their future at one point but that was all changing and natasha did not want that letter to be anywhere near mason anymore. she was his and he was hers and that was not going to be changing anytime soon. she did not want that kind of grey cloud looming over their head with words of hate and anger to rain on their relationship after having fought so hard to get it all back. ”now? today. sometime in the next 24 hours. it’s not relevant anymore, it shouldn’t be a reminder of anything…it shouldn’t exist.”[/b] though she had memorized it, the entire thing as she had read it over nearly ten times before sending it away with a stomach full of butterflies and a head full of regret. leaning over, she gently kissed his lips as she whispered, ”thank you”[/b] when he finally agreed to burn all evidence of the missed time, they were starting over and that was just a step closer. ”well naturally but I’m pretty sure anything with a nice ass and a good set of boobs could do that to you as well.”[/b],rolling her eyes as she pulled away from the small kiss that she placed on his lips. she peered at him from over her shoulder, her eyebrow raised, ”but no girl has an ass like mine..”[/b] she grinned, giving him a wink before bending over to pick up the discarded underwear and bra and tossing it to the side to be washed for later. she walked over to the dresser and slowly slid on a pair of underwear and bra, turning her back as she connected the two pieces that firmly held everything in place less he wanted her to give everyone a show. her eyes fell to his pants before looking up to him and chuckled as he almost strutted over to them, she grinned when he stepped closer and she pulled him the remainder of the way by looping her fingers into his belt loop and pulling him closer. ”hmm I’m looking forward to that..”[/b] she grinned before unhooking her fingers and letting him walk away while she proceeded to slip on a pair of shorts that showed off her long toned legs and a tanktop that dipped down to show just the right amount of skin. ”you live here too. shouldn’t you know that answer?”[/b] she asked while pocketing the keys and her wallet into her back pocket and walked past him, kicking the pieces of her work phone away from the door, ”let’s go explore..”[/b] she said with a wink before heading out, knowing all too well that he was going to follow. He grinned at her and the expression on her face and the incredulity in her voice when he told her precisely how many rounds of fucking he was going to give the pair of them to get through the two weeks that he was going to be there with her. He watched her as she hovered over him. This was what he had been missing from his life for those years that he had been separated from her. What a fool he had been. He had taken her for granted and he knew it damned well. He also knew just how lucky he was that she was even talking to him a the moment, let alone letting him have a second chance at all of this. He loved this woman. He had always loved this woman - always would love this woman. He had no doubt in his mind about that. And it was a shame that it had taken him nearly losing her to realize just how much she meant to thim.
"Ye have little faith in my skills." He commented, looking at her. "We're built to endure. Just you wait and see." He commented. And he loved looking at her. Right there, as she was. She was stunningly beautiful. The only problem was that he knew that she knew just how beautiful she was. That could prove to be a bit of a problem in the future when she started using her assets against him. Hell... she was already using them against him and she knew just how to drive him wild, just as he knew how to do the same for her. And damn, the woman knew how to tease. It shouldn't have been much of a shocker, but as it was, he was already calculating the precise moment when he would be able to get her into bed once again. He wasn't sure there was a calculation for how pathetic that was...
He smirked at her play even as she bit his earlobe gently. Wouldn't even remember how to shoot a gun? Like that would fucking happen.... But then again... the way she was moving... The way she was speaking... She might have been damned well right. And at the moment, he didn't want to think about shooting anyone. All he wanted to think about was being right there, where he was, and where he would be for the next two weeks. He wanted to think about treating her right and showing her that he was serious about all of this. That he wasn't going to up and leave her. That he would always be thinking about her and wishing, on some level, that he was by her side.
He smirked when she said that she'd be pleased to explain to everyone at SPECWARCOM why he couldn't remember how to shoot a gun. "The only problem with all that is the fact that some of the lesser men gathered 'round there might have a hard time remembering their own name if you come within a twenty foot radius of them. And then who would defend our country?" He asked her, arching a brow in her direction and giving her a cheeky grin. "And the minute you opened your mouth to tell them all the sordid details... they'd be puddles of gooey special operatives. Not a pretty sight." He caressed the side of her face with his hand when she insisted that the letter be burned today and he had to smile at her, knowing that at least that portion of the war to win her back was won. Now he had to constantly stay vigilant to remain in her life. And he would. He always would. "I'll burn it. I promise. You can even do the honors if you want."
He arched a brow at her when she said that anything with a nice ass and a good set of boobs would do this to him as well. "No. Not a chance in hell." He shook his head. "This goes waaaaay beyond that." He insisted. And for him, it did. It was everything about her. It was the way she had a body that was out of this world and 100% feminine and yet had the personality of a girl that would be considered 'one of the guys'. She was crass and crude from time to time and she was just what he needed to bring him back down to earth and give him a dose of reality. She was strong enough to deal with his personality and he knew that she'd be strong enough to handle him in the immediate days following a particularly bad deployment if it came down to it. He prayed to God that it would never come down to it... "No girl will ever have an ass like yours."
He watched her intently as she pulled him closer by the belt loops on his pants. Had there ever been a hotter woman? Seriously... He rolled his eyes when she said that he lived there and should know the answer. "I haven't exactly spent a whole shit load of time here either. I pretty well moved in and unpacked... You know I hate unpacking... And then I was holding official orders for my deployment in one hand while calling swearing at Dylan and telling him that I swore I had seen you lurking around here." He commented. "By the way... Dylan thought it was wishful thinking for a while. Jokes on that little prick." He commented as he tugged on his t-shirt and followed her to the door.
