. cause now i know it's all that i've wanted MEL BBY/ZANDER , HIS SHIRT , 843 , THE FEELS... it appeared that they had fallen back into the same routine but this time, it felt different because kahlan was still sleeping in the same bed as the male even after their nightly activities. she was still resting her head on his pillow with his arm around her and what felt like a dreamless sleep because her mind was at work. confusion was filling her thoughts as the action of thinking was slowly bringing her out of the light slumber and waking her up to a small dose of a hangover. sitting on the nightstand beside her was a glass of water and two pills which caused her head to tilt as she reached for it, snorting at the familiar red pill as a pain reliever. ”smartass..” [/b] she muttered but popped the two pills anyway and chugged down half of the glass of water. her head fell back onto the pillow and let out a small sigh while staring at the ceiling with a blank expression on her face. what was she still doing in this bed? usually they did the fact, twice as they had last night, and then she was gone but something about the way that the male had acted last night had gotten onto her skin and irked her. he seemed upset and no one should be allowed to upset the only person that kahlan considered a friend, not even the two innocent angels that she tried to corrupt last night and had succeeded as they both snuck off away from her with a male companion of their own. his arm was still draped over her side and she found it to be comforting and that was when kahlan realized that she was developing something for this male—and that was not okay. in her mind, getting attached meant commitment and that meant having to depend on people that would end up leaving or screwing her over. but hadn’t the male always been there for her since their first encounter? sighing, she shook her head and tried to let her heavy eyelids drop once more and actually succeeded as she snuggled into z’s chest, her head resting on the nook of his shoulder—feeling like home for once. she was not sure how much time had passed but when she woke up, there was no one around her and no one in the bed. she picked her head up, thinking that maybe he was just in the bathroom but it was until the sweet aroma of food swept into the bedroom did kahlan figure out exactly where the male was. shaking her head, she slipped out from under the sheets and reached for one of his shirts that was just lying around as she began to button it up while walking down the hallway and into the kitchen. the scent was intoxicating to her but not as intoxicating as the male standing in the kitchen and making breakfast, or lunch, because kahlan was not aware of the time. ”you need an alarm clock..”[/b] she commented, shaking her head while moving to jump up and rest her butt on top of the counter, next to the food as she eyed it. ”damn that looks delicious…more so than you right now..”[/b] as kahlan was starving and having the smallest of a hangover still had you eating more food than you could handle. giving him a small smile, and rushing a hand through her hair, she looked around the kitchen for a moment and raised an eyebrow, ”did you..clean?”[/b] she asked with her voice still soft as she had not yet fully woken up. ”how long have you been up for Z?”[/b] she asked as she had last recalled him lying in bed with her and then waking up to nothing. kahlan would not have had a problem if he had left the house and left her to sleep as sleep was a favorite activity of the blonde’s and she knew that eventually he would return home. in time, she would leave the apartment and go back to her care-free, self-destructive life that she was leading but for the time being, she could at least play a little. reaching into the pan, she plucked out a piece of bacon and chewed on the end, giving it a nibble, ”now I know why I can never be a vegetarian..”[/b] she commented off handily while still munching on the piece of bacon until it was all gone. she could get used to this feeling of waking up and having breakfast being cooked for her, having the emotions to go along with something like this but kahlan knew herself too well and she would never let anyone be put into that situation because she was not sure that she could be faithful. the girl might be a lost cause and everything that anyone says to her, besides her sister, might have fallen onto deaf ears but she was not going to hurt anyone that managed to get through her bandages that surrounded her broken heart. Yeah... Zander was definitely out of sorts. He couldn't deny that in the least, but last night it definitely hadn't been anything that he'd wanted to talk about. All he'd wanted last night was to forget about what he had found out. All he'd wanted to do last night was pretend that things were exactly as they had been before Biz had showed up in his life. He knew that was never truly going to happen. What was done was done. Simple as that, really. He just had to learn to move past it and genuinely learn not to trust another woman who could potentially stab him in the back all over again.
At least he knew where he stood with Kahlan. She was genuinely a friend, but he never expected anything more from her than that. Yeah. They slept together and it was damn near explosive. And some part of him was genuinely concerned for her when something went wrong. Some part of him genuinely cared about her, but she had laid it all out on the table for him a long time ago and he'd done the same for her. At the time he'd met her, he'd thought himself pretty damned incapable of caring about someone on the level that most women wanted him to care for them anyhow. Now... Well... He supposed he was getting a bit older and some part of himself needed someone to understand him on a basic level. He'd just chosen incredibly wrongly when he'd chosen Biz. And he was the fool for it.
He'd gotten up that morning and thrown on a pair of jeans before he'd headed down to the kitchen. He'd cleaned up and then he'd gotten to cooking. He didn't even think about the fact that Kahlan had still been there when he woke up. That wasn't a line of thinking he thought he could process at the moment. He wasn't sure what it meant just yet and didn't want to go jumping to any conclusions that might wind up terrifying himself. He'd been so lost in his own damned thoughts that, at first, he hadn't heard Kahlan moving around as he was cooking. But he finally noticed her as she approached and popped herself up on the counter beside him. He gave her a cheeky grin when she told him that he needed an alarm clock. "Had one. Remember? We broke it about a month and a half ago when things got a little.... wild." And things in his room had gone flying. Yeah. He remembered that night damn well. Another reason he loved having Kahlan around. He never seemed to have to worry about hurting her in any degree.
He clutched his chest when she said the food looked even more delicious than he did. "You wound me." He teased. "But some days I think I'm a moron for cooking bacon without a fucking shirt on." He commented. But they both knew how he despised clothing most of the time. He glanced up at her when she asked if he'd cleaned. "Maybe." He all but grunted. Yeah. He hadn't been doing a whole hell of a lot of sleeping that morning, truth be told. And then he shrugged when she asked how long he'd been up for. "Couple of hours." He admitted to her. "Why?"
One of his lecherous expressions came over his features when she commented on how she could never be a vegetarian. "Darlin'... the reasons you can't be a vegetarian stretch far beyond the fact that you like bacon." He commented with a lopsided grin. And he knew damned well that she'd know that he wasn't referring to food in the least. He shifted back away from the frying pan in front of him and dished it out on a plate already holding a small load of bacon. He couldn't recall a time he'd ever actually done something like this for Kahlan, but he wasn't complaining in the least. Truth be told, he really didn't want to be alone at the moment anyhow. He was pissed off. He was genuinely pissed off with himself and with the woman who had fucked him over quite unceremoniously, but he wasn't prepared to deal with those emotions last night. This morning, he still wasn't sure... but he knew damned well that he appreciated the company. And for a man who was genuinely pretty solitary, that was saying something.
"Bacon, homefries, toast. Workin' on the eggs now." He commented. "How you like 'em?" Anything to avoid the topic of conversation about what had him in such a fucked up mood.

. cause now i know it's all that i've wanted MEL BBY/ZANDER , HIS SHIRT , 843 , BACK TO NORMAL his bed is comfortable, he was upset, you’re tired, these were the excuses that kahlan was giving herself before actually deciding to get out of the bed and see if she was alone. never had she ever stayed this long in a male’s bed, no matter how well she knew them or how comfortable the mattress was. she may have felt cozy and warm wrapped in the sheets and her company’s arms and yet, she would be out the door before he even woke up and yet, here she was. she was laying in his bed well past the time that her inner alarm clock went off but was not really worried about it, it was zander, it was companionship, no strings attached sex or that is what she continued to tell herself. her dress was lying on the floor but it was not as inviting as his button down shirt that was sitting at the edge of the bed, placed there as if it knew she would be wearing it one day. she knew where she stood with zander and she would be damned if she let it go further because either he would spook or she would. they never talked about jobs or pasts, she hardly knew anything about his actual tangible past but she knew his substances. she knew the quirks and the habits that revolved around zander but she did not actually know anything about him—and that was okay to her, it meant less of a thing to grow attached to and she was already having a hard time breaking the strings of their loose friendship. with long strides but soft steps, she found her way through the familiar apartment before finding her seat on the counter where his shirtless form was cooking breakfast for them and now kahlan felt like she was in the twilight zone.
shaking her head, there were many times that kahlan and zander had smashed into things, bashed their bodies against in the name of lust, and maybe their sex was a little rough but that was exactly how she liked it. she was a bit of a sadist as well as a maschoist as she dished out as much pain as she would want to be dealt out and it was only in the terms of sex—getting a papercut was like bleeding to death for her. but kahlan could take her body being pushed against a counter as long as sex came out of it, it was all consensual and it was a male that was doing it, then she was happy and content. it was like how she was feeling now as she shrugged to him, ”when do we not get a little wild? how am I supposed to remember…ooh, yea I remember now. one of the better nights I have to say..” [/b]. it all came flooding back to her in an instant and she chuckled, leaning her head against the cabinets and let the memory play out in her head but her amusement shined in her eyes. ”you are. a sexy one but yes, a moron. wear one of those awesome aprons where it says like “kiss the chef” or whatever…see if that works for your company”[/b], she grinned and she felt better about staying when she took no tone of bitterness to the thought of him sleeping with other girls. to kahlan, that meant that she was more unattached than she had originally thought and things started to return to normal to her. ”just curious, you could have woken me up..”[/b] she muttered the last paart, but knew that she was not a morning person and would have probably bitten zander if he attempted to get her out of bed. her mouth hung open as she heard his comment and shrugged to him, chomping her teeth in his direction and sending him a wink followed by a chuckle. ”guess I’ll be fucking vegetarians from now on…wonder if I have..”[/b] and naturally, the girl probably had. she was no stranger to one night stands or the kind of nights where you fall into bed with someone whose name you don’t even know. she was that kind of girl, easy to please and the best person to please as was, lack of a better term, easy but she had tricks and was better company than expected at first glance. her eyes fell to the bacon on the plate and she plucked another piece out, ”mm meat..”[/b] and that could have been taken both ways with this girl. she bit down on her second piece of bacon before listening to the menu choice and raising an eyebrow, ”now too bad you aren’t wearing that apron, would have obeyed it..”[/b] because the girl was slightly hungover and starving as far as she was concerned. hopping off the counter, her hands resting on the counter and she leaned in to watch him cook as she found it rather attractive, ”cheesy and scrambled..”[/b] as that was how her sister used to make the eggs and her love for them never died. she was curious about his mood and said nothing except, ”you’ll recover Z from whatever this is..”[/b] as she stole another piece of bacon off the plate and chuckled, ”think you need a funnel to feed me this time. I’m starved..”[/b] and patted her stomach for emphasis on just how hungry she actually was. [/div][/center]

He had to smirk when she asked exactly when they didn't get a little wild. Yeah. That was entirely true about them and, honestly, he wouldn't have traded it for the world. But the fact that she didn't remember that particular instance wasn't lost on him in the least. And yeah, it helped boost his bruised ego a degree or two. Normally, Zander wasn't the type to feel down in the dumps about anything as ridiculous as a woman, but for the first time in all of his years he had finally opened up to one that he thought he could trust and she had shoved it all back in his face. She'd practically force fed him a dose of bullshit and continued on her merry way thinking that he wouldn't mind in the least. If there was one thing that Zander didn't take lightly, it was betrayal. And she had done that. Biz had done that.
But he forced his mind away from that bitch. He had bigger fish to fry than to bother moping around like a pathetic lout while he waited for her to realize that she'd made a huge mistake and come crawling back. He wasn't a man who could sit by idly anyhow. She'd probably come knocking on his door in a few days looking to be patched the hell up again and he'd slam the damned door in her face and let her knew exactly what he thought of her. He was tired of playing the part of the saviour only when it was convenient for her. To hell with that. He was nobody's tool. No one's except Uncle Sam's. But that was a whole different story.
He had to laugh at what she said about him wearing an apron that said 'kiss the chef' and seeing if that worked for his company. "Yeah. Not really a fashion statement I'm too keen on makin'." He commented. And right now, save for Kahlan, he wasn't entirely too keen on the idea of having any other company over at his damned house. Kahlan knew something was wrong but didn't push him and he appreciated that fact. If he wanted to come out about it, she knew he would. But he wasn't sure how receptive of such a thing she'd wind up being. Things were better if he kept his mouth shut anyhow. He didn't need Kahlan bolting in the other direction on him too.
"I could have... but you were just so damned precious sleepin' there like that." He said in a breathy, sickeningly sweet tone, letting her know that he was entirely joking with her. "You looked like you could use the nap, Princess. Don't harass me for not wantin' you to climb out the window after I woke you up and break your neck or somethin'." He commented with a shrug of his shoulder. "Besides... would you have rather woken up to my voice or the sweet smell of breakfast cookin'?" He asked. "Because given the choice, I sure as hell wouldn't want to listen to me first thing in the morning."
He scoffed when she said she'd be fucking vegetarians from now on. "Like hell you will. You an' I both know that won't happen. And I don't doubt that you've already done it a few times, Darlin'. Variety is definitely the spice of your life." He commented as he continued working away. He watched her with that damned bacon and it was hard not to let his imagination roam a little wild. Damn the woman. He seemed to have an insatiable appetite where she was concerned and he wasn't sure at all how she managed to do that when no other woman really had... Except for... No. No. He would not think about her right now.
"Well you can obey it anyways and I wouldn't complain in the least." He commented, arching a brow in her direction. He almost wished she'd do something pervy to make him forget everything else. But at the same time, he was damned hungry and he knew well enough that she was too. And if she wasn't playing the part of mama bear and jumping down his throat because he had woken her up. That was a fairly good sign at the moment. He nodded when she gave her order for her eggs and got down to business.
But then she said something that caught him completely off guard. He stilled for a moment in the middle of what he was doing and just looked up at her. But then he quickly got back to it again even as she made another little joke. But he wasn't smiling this time around. "You know... it's amazing how the two of us are cut from the same cloth but for different reasons." He said as he scrambled up the eggs in the pan. "You don't trust anyone enough to start anything permanent because the world is a bitch, shit happens and people die." He said, point blank. He never had been one for sugar coating anything. "I don't trust anyone because, each and every time I do, they wind up proving to me, time and time again as to why it's a horrible idea in the first place. I'm so fucking tired of being betrayed and I think you're about the only person in the world who hasn't done that to me yet so." He waved his spatula in the air a moment. "Here's to the success of two fucked up individuals in a fucked up friendship full of fucking."

. cause now i know it's all that i've wanted MEL BBY/ZANDER , HIS SHIRT , 1009, THE FEELS the counter was cold on her bare legs but the look of the food that was cooking on the stove kept kahlan seated as she chuckled, shaking her head in his direction while munching on a piece of bacon. she had to admit that he looked like a good cook and he looked good while cooking, and may have been more delicious than the actual food that was cooking in the pan regardless of her stomach growling. kahlan had not really eaten yesterday except before she went out drinking, but the two workouts that she had after the club had obviously worked up an appetite that had traveled into the morning but she was pleased to see that it would go full-filled. ”…ooh or the one with the fake muscles, be like “hey babe, these are nothing compared to the real thing”. that would surely get the company going..” [/b] she grinned, giving him another glance over before slowly beginning to reach for another piece of bacon out of the pan, not really caring if they were thoroughly cooked or not. ”precious?”[/b] she asked with a raised eyebrow and a curious expression to her tone despite the fact that his tone had clearly been joking. she was confused on how precious even became associated with her name. ”well you did wear me out just a little, almost like your favorite toy.”[/b] she grinned, giving him a wink before sliding off the counter. she was okay to be associated with a toy, it was better than being thought of as precious. she continued to gnaw on the piece of bacon before raising an eyebrow in his direction as her back was pressed into the counter, ”I have more coordination that that, not a gymnast but you got to give me more credit than the fact that I would break my neck. I can be slammed around a bedroom and end up with two bruises, I have climbed out of six story window. besides, the door is right there..”[/b] pointing in the direction of the door with a smirk on her face but she stayed where she was, chewing on her piece of bacon. ”how do you know I’m not at the moment..”[/b] because even though zander was her most reliant source of entertainment, he was not her only but zander was already aware of that. she kept her options open because she never really got much of a choice throughout her entire life and she closed herself off to the world from the other side of her, one that only her sister had seen. giving a roll of her eyes at the mention of the apron, she tapped the piece of bacon against her lip before shrugging and leaning over to kiss his cheek and then proceeded to walk a little away to the table nearby. she let her mind wonder for a moment before listening to him with a raised eyebrow as he suddenly went off on a rant. her facial expression had been changing throughout his entire speech between furrowing her brows to her eyes widening but her eyes remained on the eggs that were being cooked in the pan, scrambling exactly how she liked them. ”two peas in a separate pod I guess..”[/b] as kahlan knew that they belonged together, moreso than even him and his little girlfriend which had not even crossed her mind, but it was her bandaged heart and his walls that kept them apart. ”the world is a bitch to me, but I don’t protest about those that chase their happy endings.”[/b] because she knew that one would never come to her as they did for everyone else. she got too close to her parents and they ended up perishing, and she got too close to her friends and they failed her. kahlan found that it was better to leave trust out of everything rather than throw your heart and soul into them and be disappointed. she raised an eyebrow to his last words, her head tilting to the side and giving a low chuckle, ”well that kind of sucks if I’m the person you depend on for stability..”[/b] because kahlan was flighty, she got scared too quickly or when she felt emotions were becoming involved, she bolted. however, feelings and emotions had developed with zander and she knew that they lingered, but she never became jealous with other girls falling at his feet as he was a good looking guy and could no doubt have any girl he wanted. but where the hell did the rant come from? ”you’re like my only fucking friend..”[/b], throwing the small piece of bacon in his direction, hoping to hit his head, ”so don’t fucking say “yet”. okay?”[/b] she all but growled out. her eyes followed the spatula in the air and she shook her head, ”replace that with a shot of something and you got a good toast. and nothing wrong with a friendship full of fucking, friends with benefits, no harm in that shit.”[/b]. she slowly pushed herself up and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around him as everything finally clicked to her. zander was not one to put his emotions on the line and the sudden outburst had put everything into perspective. he had put his emotions out there and even better was that it was with this “girlfriend” who kahlan supposed still held that title which means that she was the other woman in whatever they were. the thought sickened her a little as she felt second rate but it was better than nothing as zander was too deep in her skin to be removed that easily. her chin rested on his shoulder, her hot breath rolling down his neck as she inhaled and exhaled, taking in his scent and taking in everything that was zander. ”how are those eggs coming along?”[/b] she asked softly, gently nibbling on his earlobe before peering into the pan to check on the status of her food as the exact moment that her stomach growled. He couldn't help but burst out laughing at her comments. He just shook his head. Somehow she had a way of making him laugh even when he wanted nothing more than to shoot something... or someone. He didn't know how she managed to do it, but he wasn't going to complain about it in the least. "I'll try to keep all that in mind, but don't count on it too much. I think that might be a little much, even for me." He commented, giving her a crooked grin. He couldn't help it where she was concerned, it seemed. And he didn't mind all that much, really. There were much worse things he could be doing or thinking about at the moment, after all.
He could tell that he'd thrown her off with the precious comment. He'd been joking. He'd been entirely joking. He wasn't sure if she saw it that way, but it was what it was. She had a way about getting freaked out about the simplest of things, but he wasn't going to comment on it again. He didn't want to draw any more attention to something that really wasn't a big deal at the end of the day. So he shifted gears when she did. "New favorite toy? Yeah. You could definitely say something like that." He smirked at her. "I'm giving you more credit than I give most here." He pointed out to her. If he hadn't have been, he would have been shoving her out the door himself. Hell... he wouldn't have even brought her to his place to begin with. "You know there aren't a whole hell of a lot of women who have seen the inside of my house... let alone my bedroom." He admitted to her.
"Yowch... Sixth story window? Whoever he was... he must have really sucked." He commented with a smirk. And maybe he was a little cocky. He couldn't deny that in the least. But when a woman like Kahlan kept coming back for more and more and more... He had to say... there must have at least been something there worth coming back for in the first place. If there hadn't have been, they never would have developed any kind of a relationship with one another. And while she might not have wanted to admit it, they did have a relationship. It wasn't a relationship in the sense of them being a couple, but they had a friendship and she was bound to him in a way that no one else was. He wasn't going to mention that little fact to her, lest she freak out and run for the hills...
But it was there and the fact that she hadn't gone for the door when she mentioned it wasn't lost on him.
But that didn't mean that he didn't know that he wasn't the only one in her life. He would have been a complete and utter moron to think that he was. And honestly, any of the guys she slept with would have been a complete and utter moron to think that they stood more of a chance with her than a one night stand. Zander sure as hell didn't expect any kind of a real relationship with her in any sense of the word. She was a free spirit and he respected the hell out of it. Hell... up until recently he hadn't thought that he'd ever be the type to really want a relationship either. He wasn't sure that he wanted one now either. Not after everything that he'd been through. Not after what that bitch had done...
He looked at her a moment when she said that she didn't protest those who chased their own happy endings. He gave a humourless laugh. "Been there, done that and have the battlescars to prove it." He muttered unhappily. Yeah. He was a little bitter at the moment. He smirked when she said that it sucked if she was the one that he depended on for stability. "Hey, man... You're the only one who's ever been there for me and that's all I give a fuck about. You've never betrayed me and that's all I can ask for at this point." And he tilted his head to the side a moment and couldn't help but regard her with nothing but curiosity as she barked her order not to say 'yet' where she was concerned. He held up his hands in defence and nodded. "Got it, Boss." He murmured.
"Never said that there was anything wrong with it." He commented. He was a little surprised when she pushed off of the counter and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around him. But she didn't ask anything further. She just asked him about the eggs. "They're done." He murmured, dishing them out in a plate for her. He was quiet for a moment. "I never should have set my sights on something else. A guy like me... I don't get to chase my 'happily ever after' or whatever bullshit the kids are calling it these days. I'm better off solitary and I should have known that. A few pathetic hours into whatever the fuck we had going on and the bitch is already spreading her legs for that asshole she works with." He tossed the spatula on the counter and looked at her before raking a hand through his hair. "Shit. Sorry. Sorry. I'm just... done with her, Kahlan. I'm done."

. cause now i know it's all that i've wanted MEL BBY/ZANDER , HIS SHIRT , 1009, SHE'S SO CONFUSED trying to keep the male occupied was not going to be a tough task, a little leg and sweet words whispered into his ear and they would be rolling in the sheets once more—if only her stomach had the same idea as her heart and brain. the three were in constant struggle with one another and it seemed that her heart was the one to lose the arguments each and every time. kahlan figured the reason was because she did not want to listen to her heart when it came to matters of zander, if so, then that meant opening herself up to hurt and disappointment and the young girl had enough of that in her life and she was only twenty-one. it seemed that was a common element between the two of them and it may very well be the thing that bound them together as well as tore them apart. trust was a double edged sword with kahlan, and it was one that she rarely picked up for battle. ”nothing is too much for you Z.” [/b], giving him a sly smirk that spread across her bee-stung lips. her comparison went, shockingly, through and she was waiting for him to protest about how she wasn’t a toy but the fact that he agreed made her feel better about actually staying into the morning because to her, that meant that nothing had changed between the two of them and she was happy to hear that. ”I don’t need batteries, I swear…just food and well, the parts of you that I like.”[/b]. grinning, kahlan stared at the floor for a moment before shrugging, ”as you should be giving me more credit, what other girl would you let stay here for this long?”[/b], her head picking up and her eyes zoning in on the food. hungry, and slightly tuned on now, kahlan found herself back in that same struggle between trust, love and food. ”I practically half own this house. clean it when you are gone, I know where the spare key is….”[/b] as she was often his uninvited guest when he was and wasn’t home because when kahlan was lonely, she got to thinking too much and maybe that could be the reason that the girl was so damned social. ”he wrapped his legs around me like I was a stuffed toy and he was a dog. it was just too fucking weird for me, but my dismount off that tree was incredible.”[/b] and Z must have known all to well of how flexible she was, well the double backflip off the last branch was one for the books and no one was around to witness it when it occurred early in the morning. she was more than aware that her escapes out of this house would be zander knowing exactly where she was going and with a good bye kiss to accompany her departure—a gesture that no one else got. she would never dream of sneaking out the window as long as it was zander in the bed and yes, that fact freaked her out but at the same time it was comforting to her. the girl was a lost cause on everything but she did have two voices that constantly nagged her to do the right thing and though her sister’s voice was the clearer one, zander’s was becoming less fuzzy. that confused kahlan most of all because she did not know if that meant he was a friend, a good friend, a really good friend or more…and that more was what had her a little spooked and kept her distance when feelings began to come into play. they were meant to be friends with benefits, no strings attached and no emotions given but the inevitable was coming and it was coming fast and hard—no pun intended. ”don’t we all..”[/b] some were more physical than others, and kahlan had scars from too much trusting where she was forced into cars, pushed into walls, she still had a cut on her neck from a knife and it was these lessons that pushed the girl further into her own abyss and not letting anyone see the real her—damaged, hurt, broken and vulnerable. ”man?”[/b] she asked with a raise of her eyebrow and smirk, ”that’s worse than dude, Z.”[/b], and she proceeded to munch on the piece of bacon as she waited for him to finished venting, ”and I won’t. I know the scars it leaves, it know the hurt it brings, I wouldn’t do that..”[/b], and that was the damned truth. she needed to get the topic changed as this was becoming too touchy feely for her, she was not ready for this kind of emotion in the slightest and so she proceeded to get her mind off food and the feelings she had for him and go for something else. her arms wrapped around his body, resting her chin on the top of her shoulder and peering at the food in the pain, ”good, I’m starving and I was ready..”[/b], giving his earlobe another bite before whispering, ”to eat you..”[/b] and she did mean in the sexual way. she watched as the plate was made and unwrapped her arms, only before putting a kiss to his pulse point, and stepped back, taking the plate from him, and listened to him rant. she was slightly confused at first but it all started to come together as the words progressed, biz. that was who he was talking about and she suddenly felt guilty because she had pushed the male toward the feisty female in order to satisfy her own feelings. if he was taken by another, kahlan could have stepped back into the shadows once more but he appeared that there was a bump in the road for the couple before they even got started, ”you can chase it if you find something worth chasing z.”[/b] and kahlan wasn’t sure if that was biz or something intangible, ”so she cheated. well that is quite a bitch of a move of her.”[/b]. she moved around him, putting the plate on the table and leaning against it, ”don’t be sorry, remember what you said earlier, never betrayed you, and always been there..”[/b] and as much as it pained her to think about that, she shrugged, ”and always will be there..”[/b] and that did not matter on what state his relationship status was. ”let’s just eat, have sex and go do something like…surf.”[/b], as physical activities would probably help to clear his head and see a little more clearer about his “happy ever after”.
