Here? I am Parker Archibald Kennedy or Mr. Kennedy to students, but back home I'm Lord Kennedy and in line to be the Marquess of Ailsa, if my father and uncle die which would be horrible. The title of "Lord" is just a courtesy right now though, because of my family and their position. I don't want it really, old traditions passed down as long as we prove we are who we say we are and things like that. I want nothing to do with parliament or any of those things but it's a responsibility that belongs to my family and I will uphold it as I'm supposed to. Marquess isn't the only title held by the oldest male in charge with our family there are others as well but I don't want to get into that to be honest. Other important details about me for now are that I am twenty four years old and a single bisexual male. I teach english at the high school, just started there this year and I know that if called home I'll have to go but for now I'm here and I'm keeping the information about my family and titles and things to myself. 19) What was growing up like? Growing up...it was interesting because of being who I am? We traveled between England and Scotland depending on where my father was needed or where my mother wanted to be. I did good in school and did what was expected of me as a member of our family. It's not like we're royal or super important, but holding a title means attention most often and that's something you just learn to live with. I'm not talking constant attention either, just at events and with the people who know or thins like that. I have been to so many parties that bore you to the very core of your being that I lost count and I've been in trouble enough times to count on my hands because getting in trouble just isn't an option according to my father. We're a respectable family and he wants it to stay that way. I went to college to study english, i've always been passionate about the written word I enjoyed reading as a child so I thought maybe by becoming a teacher I could help younger minds learn to love and be passionate about it as well. My choice to move here was based on the chance to get away from all the family responsibility and the fact that I got licensed to teach here. Here I am just a normal man with a normal job and that is perfect for me because I never wanted to be anything else. 18) Some personality traits you or others think about you? Passionate, Steady, Strong, Level-Headed, Caring, Gentle, Curious, Cautious, Respectful, Protective, Intelligent, Calm, Helpful, Well-Spoken, Reserved, Guarded, Funny, Interesting, Creative, Imaginative, Average, Laid-Back, Listener, Confident, Immature, Scared, and Weak. The last three said by my uncle who thinks my leaving was a sign of running away and being scared or immature. 17) Favorite candy, animal, and breakfast food? Kit-Kat, Snakes, and Pancakes. 16) Ten Things you love? Reading, Thunderstorms, Snakes, My Family, My Country, Baked Goods, Teaching, Music, Learning, Exploring. 15) Ten things you hate? Total Silence, Boring Parties, Pushy/Bossy People, Fighting, Drugs, Rodents, Having nothing to read, Titles, Greedy People, Golddiggers. 14) Three things you fear? The deaths of my father and uncle, Rodents, being bored to death at a party. 13) What do you think of responsibility? I believe responsibility is important to everyone depending on what they're dealing with. For me it's a family thing where we are taught growing up what our responsibilities are and how to handle them. I am a man who will stand up and take care of what is required of me but I don't exactly want the heavy weight of my family on my shoulders. I want to be my own man and have that be a side aspect not a definition of who I am and who people see me as. That's why I'm here, I needed a break from the responsibility but I am not turning my back on it, I just need to discover who I am on my own two feet before filling the role born to me. 12) Where do you see yourself in ten years? Being my own man, hopefully with a strong woman by my side who can help me and maybe a child that I can teach the customs and things to but not burden too heavily with the responsibilities. 11) Do you have any pets? I do in fact have a snake, he's a Red Tail Boa named Macbeth, I call him Mac most commonly. 10) Are you in love? No at the moment I do not have a love interest. 9) What do you do for a living? Teach, English at the high school here in town. 8) If you could go anywhere right now where would it be and why? The library, simple answer yes but I need a new book to read since I just finished the one's I'd borrowed before. I have one of those e-readers but I enjoy the feel of a book in my hands more. 7) If you could meet anyone living or dead who would it be and why? Shakespeare, yes I know this is a predictable answer for an english teacher but the chance to speak to him and pick his brain a bit is too tempting. 6) If you could be an animal which would you choose? A snake, I'm not sure what kind but a snake for sure. 5) What superpower would you love to have? Super Hearing, it would come in handy to know when my students aren't paying attention because they're too busy with their own conversations in whispers. 4) If you could change one thing in your past what would it be and why? An argument I had with my mother before leaving to come here. She was not pleased with my choice but it's done now and she doesn't seem angry anymore with me. 3) If you could change one thing in the world what would it be? I would make it so children could be children, some don't get that chance and grow up far too fast. 2) Who is your idol? My idol...a hard choice. Any man who is strong enough to be himself without faltering or giving into the worlds pressures would be an idol to me. 1) Share one secret? I haven't told anyone here about my responsibilities back home, I don't want them seeing me for that and that alone. |
