turn back time for me OPEN , SWIM TRUNKS , 805 , POOR BOY frustration was etched across his face in every feature from his eyes that were narrowed to his mouth which was nothing but a straight line of discomfort. he tried to shake off the feeling as he sat at the pool’s edge and stared at the blue water with an intense glare before dipping his fingers into the liquid in order to test the temperature. he was thankful that his apartment building had a pool both inside and outside and with the rent, it had better be both heated and have a Jacuzzi attached to the pool and luckily for tucker—they did. they had all three attributes that made the outdoor pool that he was currently sitting by that much more inviting. the air was crisp against his bare skin but it was exactly what he needed at the moment to shake the day off as he had to be something that he was not usually, nice. he had to be comforting and caring to his uptight roommate after she discovered a horrid secret about her once “perfect” relationship but even when tucker had met carter, he did not like the male and now he knew exactly why. the guy was unfaithful and one of the worst kind of people because of it, and tucker had taken it upon himself to try and make his roommate’s day a little better. ”fuck” [/b] he muttered as he ran his hand harshly through the water and cut through it with pent up frustration. he was annoyed and confused as to why he had even made the attempt to be nice to his stick-in-the-ass roommate but she had given him a home, not a warm one but at least he had a roof over his head. his shirt was shed and tossed to the side as he slowly rose off his haunches and stared at the water, his reflection staring back at him with the lights above making the water look so inviting. he slowly began to move his arm across his body, stretching his injured shoulder in order to allow him to have more movement. he had been in training to go to the olympics and was in the running for a spot on the team of his home country and then he had injured his shoulder during a final practice and was out of the running just like that. currently, he was trying to get back to that level but it seemed that his doctors were not going to give him that okay to continue training no matter how much he wanted to. all he wanted was to turn back time, to listen to his coach and stop the extra practice that caused the muscle to tear and he lost his wing span that allowed him that extra push through the water. the male wished that he could have turned back and saved his deceased younger brother from the fate of the water and now, he wished that he could have turned back time and let his roommate suffer on her own but he could not take back anything and could only push himself ahead and that was exactly what he was going to do. the pain in his shoulder was already started as he over extended and stretched his shoulder. there was only one thing that tucker could do to actually turn back time and after walking the length of the pool, he dove in and began to rush through the laps in a slow but steady pace. he pushed himself again, a little too far and was forced to stop after almost ten lengths of the pool and slammed his hand into the surface of the water which caused a large wave to rush through the length of the pool as the water was disposition. he brushed a hand through his hair as he stood in the shallow section of the pool and let the water drip down his face as he brushed a hand over his face, wiping away the water that had impeded his vision. he noticed a shadow appearing by the gates and he shook out the water from his hair, letting his ears to become unplugged as he shook his head, turning his back to the figure and slowly rising out of the pool, ”all yours”[/b] he muttered, rubbing at the injured shoulder and reaching for his towel as he approached the lawn chair that was sitting against the fence. tucker was not one to put on a show, and this was one of those times as he rushed the towel through his hair and sighed softly while his face was covered because all he wanted to be was the past tucker, still as conceited but more focused and less injured as tucker’s mind was too cluttered for him to focus. Huntington had no idea when exactly her life started to unravel, but it had started before she found out that Ryden was pregnant with Carter’s kid. Maybe the mistake had been befriending Ryden and dating Carter in the first place. Well, if she’d been able to see into the future, she sure as hell wouldn’t have. Out of the three of them, wasn’t Huntington supposed to be the heartless one? That certainly was a word used to describe her several times over the years. I guess when you lost your parents and your grandparents, leaving you an orphan for all intents and purposes; you just kind of closed yourself off from the majority of feelings. But best friends and boyfriends weren’t supposed to turn their back and betray you like this. They were the two people that she was closest too and they had completely shattered every bit of trust Huntington had been clinging to recently. But what hurt the most was that Hunt couldn’t think of a single reason someone would choose her over Ryden in the first place. Ryden was tall and blonde and flawless. She was caring and funny and outgoing. Of course, she had graduated from Yale and was working in Victoria’s Secret, which was beyond stupid in Huntington’s opinion, but whatever. Ryden and Carter were alike in the sense that they could just let go and be happy, something Hunt had always struggled with.
To say that she hadn’t been taking the break up well was an understatement. After the initial anger (and slapping Carter as hard as she could across his face) the sadness had set in. She was barely leaving her room these days and had even skipped a few of her summer classes; and skipping class was something that Huntington Fischer never did. She could tell that Tucker was trying his best to handle things and help her out a bit, but in true Huntington fashion she had pushed him as far away as possible. Honestly, the brunette was starting to think that maybe she just wasn’t cut out to have people close to her in her life. Could you blame her? Pretty much everyone she loved either died or betrayed her. But, she was feeling pretty guilty about being so rude to Tucker; he’d been a good enough roommate and hadn’t done anything wrong here. She’d decided she would make them a nice dinner or something tonight, hope to smooth the waters a bit.
But first, a run. Then maybe a swim.
Huntington dressed in her running clothes and grabbed her iPod. Might as well channel the hurt and anger into something healthy, right? She turned her music up just loudly enough to drown out her thoughts and left the apartment, heading down the road. Running did help her clear her mind, but it wasn’t long before her muscles were screaming at her. That’s what happened when you clammed up in your room, she supposed. It was definitely time for the Jacuzzi. So, Huntington hobbled back to the apartment and grabbed the elevator; the thought of taking the stairs just made her legs want to buckle underneath her. She changed into a bikini, grabber her towel, and headed back down to the pool. As she opened the gate, she sighed seeing Tucker getting out of the pool. Looks like she would have to suck up her pride a little sooner than she had been planning. She watched as he went over to one of the chairs, and she kicked off her flip flops, lowering herself slowly into the hot tub. ”Look, Tuck… I’m really sorry about um.. the way I’ve been treating you.” The words tasted a bit sour on her tongue, but only because Hunt definitely wasn’t use to apologizing. ”Really, I know you were just trying to help. And I appreciate it.” Jesus, was the world ending?

turn back time for me LIZZY WITH HUNT , SWIM TRUNKS , 881 , HE'S BROKEN tucker had hoped that his arm would be up to the laps but it seemed that it was another thing that would go wrong today. his shoulder was stinging too much for him to continue after only a few laps which did not even equal the length of the olympic sized pool and once again, he saw his dream getting further and further away. he moved to the shallow end, dunking his head beneath the surface and slowly opening his eyes to peer at the darkness that surrounded him regardless of the flood lights that were imbedded in the pool wall. as his lungs began to burn, he slowly pushed himself to break through the surface of the water and suck in a deep breath of air. he had hoped that his lungs could have held out just a little longer as well and he slammed the water in frustration before the sound of the gate creaking open interrupted him. he did not need people seeing his failure and with a defeated sigh, he slowly began to head out of the water. the water dripped off every inch of his body as he made his way over to his towel. he hoped that the person would go into the water without trying to start a conversation but the voice that flooded through was not who he wanted to hear. she had been the person that he had been trying to escape, besides his own guilt. the water seemed more inviting now that he wondered if he could hold his breath underwater until she disappeared but they shared an apartment and eventually, they would meet again. he let the silence fill the air between them as he continued to rush the towel across the strands of his wet hair, trying to get as much of it dry as he could. ”sure.” [/b] he muttered. the way that they had been treating each other was obviously not the best and he knew that his little brother would be so disappointed in him, ”it’s fine Hunt..it’s who you are. whatever.”[/b] he shrugged, finally pulling his head out of the towel and brushing it down flat with his own hand. he turned his head just in time to watch her slip into the water of the hot tub and he shook his head, grumbling to himself as he rubbed the back of his neck. he could not deny that she was an attractive girl and even more so now that he finally saw her body in full view and he got an eyeful before having to look away. his towel now rested over one of his shoulders as he heard her, furrowing his brows in thought before chuckling, ”you must be in so much pain having to apologize to me.”[/b] and he could see the discomfort on her face, it probably match the one that was on his. he was not sure how much he could control his own want for her, her looks were something desirable but her personality clashed with his as he was more laid back and she had to control every little thing that surrounded her. however, the apology was a big step that he knew was probably physically painful for her to admit that she was wrong, ”seriously hunt, my advice about sex…yea, not a lie. it works..”[/b]. and now he was back to his old self as he gave her a wink and slowly began to step closer to the hot tub. he sat down at the edge and dipped his feet into the heated water, giving a small moan of pleasure to the feeling of the jets pounding against his foot. ”and I was also right when I said that the guy is not even worth a second of your thoughts. he doesn’t deserve you..”[/b], giving a shrug as though the compliment was nothing to him and to tucker, it wasn’t. it came naturally to him to be a charmer, lie and compliment a girl until her face turned red and then take the plunge of inviting her out but this time was different. he stopped after that and was not going to ask to see her later that night because he would, they lived together. tucker knew more about her that she even realized as he had spent more time in the living room than his own room and had watched her run around time after time when things were not going her way or they were falling out of control. ”you know, you can’t control everything. life doesn’t exactly like that.”[/b] and he would know. if tuck could have controlled his own life, this was not the ideal situation but it was better than where he could have ended up. his eyes wondered from the water to her as his body slowly began to be lowered into the water, his arms stretching across the edge to keep himself afloat while his eyes closed for just a moment as his back was hit with the jets and sent his toes nearly curling to how good it felt. ”and I’m not really a fan of it myself..”[/b], finally completing his thoughts as his eyes opened and he looked over to her once more, admiring the view that he had. Carter coming to break up with Huntington had been more than enough, and more than she could handle. So it was a little hard to believe that only a few days later, Ryden had shown up on her doorstep as well. The nerve. The irony of this all was that out of the two of them, Huntington and Ryden, people had always liked Ryden more. She was pretty and smart and extremely easy to get along with. Seriously, the girl would talk to a piece of paper if it would talk back. In all the years that Hunt had been friends with Ry, she’d never seemed like the backstabbing type. Shame on Huntington for letting her guard down; bad things happened when you let your guard down. The visit had ended with Huntington slapping Ryden just a little less harshly than she had slapped Carter. Hunt had never been one for physical violence, and she wasn’t particularly proud of the fact that she’d slapped a pregnant woman but… could you really blame her? Honestly, Huntington had never slapped a person in her life. And now she’d done it twice in one week. But Hunt felt as though she was completely justified in both acts. The two of them had hurt Huntington more than she knew she could be hurt at this point in her life. With everything she had been through in the past ten or so years, she was pretty sure that nothing could get to her anymore. Well, she was wrong. Huntington had been in love with Carter. She’d opened up to him more than anyone else (aside from Ryden), and she’d trusted him. She had trusted him explicitly and apparently that’s where she had gone wrong. Some people couldn’t and shouldn’t be trusted, and he was obviously one of them. He and Ryden both.
When Tucker told her it was fine, it was who she was, the words stung a little bit. But was he wrong? Well… no. And that’s what kept her from snapping back at him. Well, that and the fact that she was trying to apologize here. As much as she didn’t like to admit it, Tucker was sort of the only person in her corner now, and she couldn’t afford to lose him. As much as she liked to think she was self-sufficient, everyone needed someone, and Huntington was no exception. She watched as he walked over to the hot tub, though, and took it as a sort of peace offering. She was on the right track. ”Well it certainly isn’t the easiest thing in the world,” she admitted, taking a deep breath and blowing it out slowly as she let herself relax in the hot water. Smirking a bit and rolling her eyes at his sex comment, Huntington answered dryly, ”I’ll keep that in mind.” But she glanced down at her lap when he continued on about Carter. ”Can we just… not talk about him? Please?” she asked, glancing back up. It was nice to hear that Tucker thought Carter didn’t deserve her, but she didn’t take the compliment too heavily. She was trying not to think about him, really she was, but it just wasn’t that easy. He had been such a large part of her life that to just cut him out with the blink of an eye… well, it just wasn’t happening.
Tucker brought up control, and Huntington knew that he couldn’t understand. He couldn’t possibly understand why she needed to be able to control things. Well, not unless she told him, anyway. Should she? Hunt rarely talked about her parents and grandparents, because it was like reopening an old wound. It was painful. But the truth was, Hunt was tired of opposing Tucker. He lived with her now, and she had to get used to it because as much as she threatened it, it wasn’t like she was going to throw him out on the streets. ”My um… parents died. When I was nine, in a car accident,” she began, tightening her jaw and looking just past Tucker instead of right at him. ”So I moved from Colorado to Oklahoma to live with my grandparents. But they died a couple of years ago, just a few months apart.” She cleared her throat and dared a glance at Tucker. ”That was my only family,” she said with a small nod. ”I don’t have any aunts and uncles or cousins. It’s just me. And I can’t control that, I didn’t choose that. So…” Hunt paused a moment, licking her lips and trying to choose her words carefully. ”When I see something that I can micromanage and control… I do.” She gave a shrug, not knowing if after her little speech he would understand her more or just think she was that much crazier. And honestly, Huntington didn’t care much one way or the other.

turn back time for me OPEN , SWIM TRUNKS , 940, HE'S DEAD the recent events of tucker’s life had hi reflecting on his own personality just a little too much but he was not going to change. he was just looking for the pieces of himself that were flawed and that was all that he could find, the only good thing that he found about himself was that he was determined but even that was a flaw in itself and the proof was in the injured shoulder. he was egotistical because his family had built him up when they discovered his talent for cutting through the water and shoved him into every water sport and class that they could to test his ability even further and though tucker did not appreciate the shove, the support was something that was appreciated. he did not fully understand hunter but he knew her, he knew her well and that was just because of what he had observed about her. fragile and vulnerable, that side was starting to show through in light of her own recent events and tucker would be a liar if he did not admit to enjoying watching her crack just a little. it was not because he was a cruel person and wanted to watch another suffer but it was because he was finally seeing a side of hunt that was not about control, discipline and order but more about the inner workings of her. he was still unsure of why he wanted to be there for her, stick to her side and bad mouth carter across town—not that the baby bump that ryden was showing would not do that enough. but he did. he wanted to tear the male apart limb by limb for hurting the one person that had supported him, taken him in and even showed some kind of protective nature to him since his brother died and his family broke apart. ”I can tell. must be just physically killing you to have to apologize to me.” [/b] and he was curious if he would see a flinch or even better would be that flicker of fire that Huntington once had but it appeared that was extinguished for the time being. ”and you know, we live together, so the beds would not be unfamiliar.”[/b], throwing a cocky smirk followed by a wink before tilting his head up to stare up at the starts. he would be a liar if he said that Huntington was not beautiful because she was, every piece of her was a divine attribute but her personality and her behavior clashed with his. while she wanted to control everything, tucker went with the flow and just let everything happen for a reason without even reaching for the control panel of his life. ”sure, you are always in control either way..”[/b], he mumbled, shaking his head to get rid of the some of the water that was still in his ear before his eyes fell to the water and he readjusted his position. carter was not worthy of Huntington in tucker’s mind, and though he knew that he was not any better, he would never play with a girl’s emotions. he had been brought up with such a loving mother that tucker was not able to fathom treating a girl anything less than a princess and maybe that was why he did not have one night stands, unless he was smashed, but that did not mean that he had a lot of girlfriends either. she began in on her history even though he really did not want to hear it, but it was a step closer for the two of them to make some kind of piece so he listened with his head raised and his eyes locked onto hers, though hers were averted as she spoke. ”and?”[/b] he spoke, slightly harshly at the end of everything, ”sorry to hear about your parents but hunt, their death was out of your control, both of theirs.”[/b] he said, brushing his hand across the water in front of him to keep his hands occupied because at this point, he was losing his self control on both his words and his temptation to kiss her. that was far too early as she had just had her heart shattered and tucker was not a good candidate to get over another asshole when he was one himself, and he knew it, but that did not mean that he was going to change for anyone else. ”but you don’t because you can’t. relationships, friendships, it all involves another person and I can tell you now, most people are not a fan of being controlled.”[/b] as he was one of them and his brother was a bit like Huntington as he felt that he was able to control everything. austin and tucker did not get along anyway and they probably never would because of their past and tucker did not want to see Huntington end up like him and his brother in relation to the rest of the world. ”I’m going to teach you how to let go and go with the flow, at least for some situations.”[/b] and then he took the daring move to push himself from the wall and position himself infront of her. his fingers were moving down her arm, slowly raising them above her head while his legs tangled in with hers to keep her sitting, ”cause when you control, you restrain others..”[/b], he whispered, his actions showing her just how others felt and he was certain that she was not a fan of being held down as she was but tucker had to admit, he liked the closeness. ”I’m not sleeping with you, Tuck,” she said, raising one eyebrow and allowing herself to grin just a bit. Tucker was attractive, extremely so; that fact was not lost on Huntington. In fact, Carter probably wouldn’t have been so jealous of Tucker had he not been do good looking. That just added more irony to the situation – that Carter had been so angry and jealous at Huntington for allowing a male to move into her apartment. Actually, he’d even gotten more protective over her after that. Too bad he’d also been fucking her best friend. But back to Tucker – Hunt’s friends had already asked her why she wasn’t doing anything about him. He lived right down the hall from her, he was the easiest type of access. And honestly, Tucker may have been onto something about this whole break up sex thing. But if Huntington chose to go down that path, she was going to do it with a complete stranger. She wasn’t exactly sure how serious Tucker was when he kept offering himself up, or if he was simply trying to get a rise out of her, but either way; how awkward would it be to sleep with your roommate and then try and go back as if nothing had happened. Huntington sighed, letting the grin dropping off her face. She was glad to have run into him down here, though. It just felt… easier without being stuck in the confines of their apartment. But by the same token, it would take longer for her to be in the comfort of her room should things go south with Tucker.
Hunt’s mouth fell open just a bit and her eyes narrowed. ”What do you mean and?” She hissed, her usual fire sparking back up. Huntington had basically just bared her soul to him, told him part of the reason she was the way she was, and he just… well he almost threw it back in her face, seemingly telling her that it wasn’t a good excuse, that that shouldn’t make her controlling. ”I never said it was my fault,” she continued defiantly. ”I’m so sorry that I didn’t grow up with parents long enough for them to teach me how to be a well-adjusted adult.” God he was just… infuriating. Moments ago had she really been apologizing? There was a dull ache in her chest that always came from bringing up her parents and it had all been for nothing. Now Huntington wished that they were in the apartment so that she could go into her room, take a hot shower and probably cry. Huntington often saved her tears for the shower, or for when she was in bed because a control freak like her saw crying in front of others as a major weakness. And she’d had just about enough of being weak. ”If people don’t like me because I’m too controlling – fine. If I pushed Carter into my best friend’s arms because she knows how to be open and loving, fucking great.” Now that he had relit the fire, Tucker was just going to have to deal with the consequences.
She narrowed her eyes speculatively as he said he was going to teach her how to let go. How the hell was he going to do that? And as Tucker moved across the water, Huntington suddenly became very nervous. A chill ran over her skin as he touched her arms, despite the temperature of the hot tub. ”Let go of me,” she said in a quiet voice as he lifted up her arms, tangling his legs with hers. She was… nervous. Genuinely nervous. Hunt could feel her heart rate speed up, and suddenly the hot tub became much, much warmer. She struggled against him, but Tucker was quite a bit stronger than she was. ”Tucker…” she said, her tone taking on a warning quality. She swallowed hard, looking up at him, feeling frustrated and confused and angry and… liking it, all at the same time.

turn back time for me OPEN , SWIM TRUNKS , 913, HE'S REFLECTING NOW he mentioned his promise to keep her on the path of uncontrollable, he regretted it. tucker knew that he could not control Huntington anymore than she could control carter and his cheating, it was impossible. as he sat on the other end of the hottub, half listening to her, his hand rushed through his already damp hair in an attempt to calm his own thoughts. he had not noticed until now that the fire was growing back into her eyes and her body looking amazing even if only half of it could be seen, he could only imagine what the bottom half looked like. his tongue flicked out to run across his bottom lip before his head tilted up and stared up at the stars, ”look, it’s the big dipper…” [/b] he commented with a careless shrug as he chose not to respond to anything that she said, and she was not going to get him started on pasts. she knew nothing about him and he was going to keep it this way or else he was scared that the beginning of toleration between the two of them would be shattered. what would she think if she knew that he was a murderer? sighing softly, tucker needed to get his mind off the past and into the present and though his muscles tensed with the force that he used to push himself from the wall, tucker found himself uncomfortably close to the brunette firecracker. at first, there was not a single attempt to touch her as he just held eye contact but while their eyes met, his hands were slowly sneaking under the water to brush against her hip bone, up her sides and slowly lifting her arms out of the water to be held over her head. a smirk rose to his lips, ”chill. not going to do anything that you don’t truly want..”[/b] and he did not mean for that to sound creepy but tucker was not going to make a move on her at all, that was her job unless she asked him to control and that was the entire plan. his hands gripped her wrists lightly, bringing her arms back down and forcing them against the side of the hot tub wall on either side of her as his body slowly moved closer. he could feel her chest against his and her heartbeat was increasing which either meant she was getting scared or she was getting aroused and he was hoping for the latter. ”Huntington..”[/b] he whispered her name, his knee pushing her legs apart in order to keep her from kicking at him. he shook his head as he saw the look in her eyes, it was both fear and lust mixed together but tucker was a not fond of the fear and only after a moment of holding her gaze did he suddenly push back and release her all together. ”see, can’t control everything.”[/b] and the point was made in the physical aspect, and maybe he wanted an excuse to touch her. the sudden cooling of the air around him caused his body to slowly sink under the water, burning his skin and loosening his muscles before he surfaced once more and gasped for much needed air. ”it’s late. I’m going in.”[/b] he commented while slowly raising himself out of the water and stepping back over to his towel, ”fuck it’s cold…”[/b] he commented already feeling his injured shoulder begin to swell with the sudden change in temperature. he instinctively reached for it, rolling his shoulder more than once and giving a louder wince each time as the pain was unbearable for him. his bottom lip sucked in along with a deep breath as he tilted his head up and closed his eyes just for a moment as the pain passed by only moments later. rushing the cotton towel through his hair once more, he dried his body off before reaching for his shoes that were tucked under a chair, ”if you are staying in there, don’t boil yourself”[/b] he commented while side swiping around the hot tub and heading for the gate. with a quick swing of it, tucker took one last look over his shoulder to stare at the pool water that was so welcoming and so haunting and then shook his head before finally walking out of the pool area. ”stupid…stupid..stupid..”[/b], giving his head three whacks while making his way back into the apartment lobby and hitting the elevator button. his back rested against the wall even as the elevator came and went and he slowly slid to the floor with a defeated sigh. the pain in his shoulder, the pain of the past and now the sudden realization that he liked touching Huntington, maybe a little too much. he was worse than carter though and that meant that he too was not good enough for the fiery brunette, not that he wanted anything more from Huntington but sex…or at least he thought that was it. he had not gotten laid in a while, that was all this way and that was what he kept telling himself as the third elevator passed by the lobby without tucker riding in it. his form was still on the ground, his head was resting against the wall and his eyes were closed while to ignore his own thoughts and anyone that passed by him with both a concerned and a quizzical look on their faces. When you lost control, bad things happened. People got hurt, either emotionally or physically, things got crazy and unpredictable. Huntington liked predictable, she liked boring. Not many people actually crave boring, but Huntington wasn’t most people. It wasn’t that she never did anything spontaneous – it just hardly ever happened. Carter brought out a different side in Huntington. He made her loosen up, smile more, worry less. He made her feel like she was special, like she could do absolutely anything. When their relationship had first started out, Huntington had been like a happier, better version of herself. She was still working just as hard in school and in her job, but she wasn’t so uptight and serious. He’d gotten her to loosen up and take the time to enjoy the crazy ride that she was on. Stop and smell the flowers, so to speak. Or at least realize that they were there. They would take random road trips with no map and no destination in mind. He would get her to stop studying long enough for a late night swim down at the beach. Carter just got Huntington to do things that she normally wouldn’t; it wasn’t like he had this hold over her, but he was just so persuasive. And here Tucker was, trying to control her, to get her to relax. And the thing was, Hunt couldn’t tell if she was enjoying it or not. His hands ran over her hip bones, up her side, smooth as butter. He held her arms above her head, was dangerously close to her. And yes, she felt helpless and defenseless. But even though she was in such a vulnerable place right now, Huntington more or less trusted Tucker.
The sound of her name on his lips made her heart flutter, and she locked her eyes with his, tightening her jaw as he spread her legs apart. She blinked a couple of times just to make sure that this was all really happening, that she wasn’t imagining it all. But as soon as he had moved over to her, it stopped and Tucker pulled away. Huntington cleared her throat, glad that it was pretty dark out as she felt a blush creep up her neck. It was strange – Huntington wished that he hadn’t pulled away. She wanted him close to her, on her, around her. But no, this was for the best. It was good that he pulled away, allowing her to regain her composition. ”Um.. yeah,” she said quietly as he got out of the hot tub, her eyes following his every move, watching the water as it dripped from his muscular body. Stop it Hunt! Stop it right now! She was lusting, hard. But why? Was it because she’d just gone through such a messy break up? Or was Tucker actually starting to look appealing to her? Hunt didn’t know for sure. ”I uh… wont,” she replied to his boiling comment. She definitely didn’t need that – in fact, she needed to cool down a bit. She listened to the gate as it opened and closed before she placed both of her hands over her face, groaning rather loudly. What was happening to her?
Huntington remained in the hot tub a few moments longer, trying to compose herself. She needed to calm down and remember who she was – Huntington Grace Fischer, calm and always in control. She could handle this Tucker situation easily. Right? Before long, she pulled herself out of the hot tub, shivering as she did so. It took her a moment to locate her towel in the dark, but before long she was headed back into the apartment complex, fully prepared to go straight upstairs and start dinner for herself and Tucker. But as she headed to the elevator, she couldn’t help but see Tucker sitting across from it, looking rather distraught. ”Um… what are you doing?” she asked, clearing her throat as she stood across from him. ”I was uh… going to make dinner. If you’re hungry.” Huntington shrugged, wrapping her towel around her a little tighter. Her legs were tired and all she wanted to do was go to bed, but her stomach didn’t agree. ”You um… coming upstairs?” What was up with all the pausing, all the ums and uhs? Huntington didn’t speak like that. She was always confident in what she was saying. Damn Tucker.

turn back time for me LIZZY W/HUNTINGTON, SWIM TRUNKS , 849, IFFY POST.. he brushed the towel through his hair, rubbing his arms and his legs down before slipping his shirt back on not really caring if the fabric stuck to his skin or not. he was tired and grouchy, not that the latter was anything new, but tucker was also in pain and it was the biggest reason that he had gotten away from Huntington. he was not friendly with pain, he was not a good sport when it came to his shoulder because it was just a reminder, a nostalgic push that forced him back in time and sitting in water was an even worse reminder. his brother was gone and was not going to come back and now that his older brother had turned up in town, tucker found himself even more on edge than before. ”good.” [/b] he said before walking past the hottub and a flustered Huntington and out of the gates of the outside pool where he proceeded to slow his pace down. the burn in his shoulder was nothing but a reminder for what he had done and what he had not done in a moment of panic. being a lifeguard was a good, rewarding feeling but it was doing nothing to numb the grief that he felt. ”g-d dammit!”[/b] he cursed outloud as he entered the apartment lobby, empty, while listening to his voice echo before dying away with the other sound waves, melting into the air. he could not bear to even lift himself off the ground as he laid his injured arm across the knees that were pressed to his chest, curling into himself and keeping everyone out. tucker knew that the feeling of solitary thought would not last much longer as the apartment building was busy with people coming in and out, returning and leaving and shutting and closing the front door at all hours of the night. but he could sit here for a little while longer, or at least until the feeling in his legs returned. leaning his head back to rest against the wall, his eyes had slowly begun to shut as the pain was numbing away once more as his body and mind were finally at ease—until a voice registered in his mind. groaning, he opened one eye and glanced up to see the brunette roommate of his staring back at him with a quizzical expression plastered on that ridiculously beautiful face of hers, ”…sitting?”[/b] he asked, slowly rising to his feet with a wince as he applied pressure to his shoulder while using it to lift himself off the ground, ”hope that’s okay and all, didn’t realize you were the lobby police.”[/b] but the smile on his face showed her that he was kidding. he nodded to the idea of food, ”was going to ask about that…just slipped my mind I guess.”[/b] he said half-heartedly as he looked down at the ground, his feet shuffling. his thoughts were doing little to quell the pain in his shoulder but her presence was actually doing something as he nodded again, ”starved.”[/b], giving his fit stomach a pat. he looked over to her, seeing the towel now wrapped around her body and was tempted to actually say something offensive that would result in their small foundation to crumble and the thought of that allowed him to bite down on his tongue and ignore his own thoughts. he watched the elevator button light up as she pressed it, his eyes now watching the numbers that rested on top of the three elevator doors that they got to wait for. he sighed, falling back against the wall and rubbing at his eyes of both tiredness and moisture, ”fuck I’m tired..”[/b] and gave evidence of his words with a yawn, covering his mouth. the ding and the doors opening caught his attention but he remained stationary for a moment before nodding, ”for food? oh yes.”[/b] he commented and quickly strolled through the threshold of the elevator and watched the doors close, sealing them into an enclosed space. his body was against a wall once more, leaning on it for support as his tired eyes fell to the floor while counting the dings that the elevator made until their own floor was reached. he reached into his pocket and fetched the keys with a premature anticipation for the door. he was out first but held the doors open for her to pass through before walking a little ahead, the key already in the lock and the door swinging open as he turned to look at her, ”I need to shower…my shoulder is aching.”[/b] he admitted before walking away before any questions could be asked. his clothes were discarded halfway to the bathroom, leaving them a pile outside of the door that he was curious to see if they would still be there when he got out. the water was turned on quickly and tucker let the water wash over his body and wash away the chlorine, the dirt, and the guilt from his body.
