I'LL BE YOUR HERO WHOSE STANDING STRONG, WHO PROTECTS YOU FROM ANY FIGHT MEL W/RHIAN , 1062 , TSHIRT&SHORTS , OOOH BABY. DRAMA ALERT. his anger was pushed into the fist that he was using to ty and knock his opponent of him as he covered his face with his gloved hands in order to prevent anymore facial injuries as dean was not sure how many more times he would be able to explain a black eye or a split lip to his fiancé. his brother knew the truth and was now holding it over his head if dean did not allow him the chance to leave the house and maybe dean was holding onto something more than just his brother but the idea of sean leaving the house scared him. he liked having the buffer there, he liked being able to see his brother come home and leave and he liked the security of knowing that his brother was safe under his roof. his mind was in too much of a rut to be finding and so, dean tapped out of the fight and literally pushed the guy off him. he moved through the crowd, grabbing his stuff as he departed and sucked in a deep breath. he was wheezing and looked down at his shirtless body to see a nice bruise forming on his ribs and he winced while leaning against a wall. better luck next time orwell… said a voice which caused his eyes to narrow while dumping some of his water bottle on his head and shaking out the remaining droplets, ”got too much on my mind mccormick, I’ll get your ass next time..” he muttered, only wishful thinking on his end. tired, and now having a possible broken rib, dean slung his bag over his shoulder and walked down the steps of the garage where the fights were held and walked out into the fresh air. it felt good, did wonders for the pain but too much of a deep breath and the male coughed which caused him to stop and inspect the bruise. cracked rib most likely, a quick trip to the doctor tomorrow before work while rhian was doing her own thing. reaching into his pocket, the male pulled out his cellphone and proceeded to call the apartment in order to give rhian peace of mind that he was safe and on his way home. he found it strange that the phone went right to voicemail and he furrowed his brows a the sound of the answering machine but he shrugged it off and spoke as soon as the beep was heard, ”hey rhi, I’m almost home baby, just got to run and get some milk and then we’ll cuddle in bed, unless you are asleep, just didn’t want you to worry, love you, bye.” and hung up with a sigh in his voice. he was tired and all he wanted to do was just crawl into bed with rhian and sleep. after everything that nearly happened with the baby and then sean leaving the house and moving into his tutor’s place, dean was more than content with just sleeping until the baby was born and missing all the drama in between. he pulled his keys out of his pocket as he approached the apartment building, opening the front door and stepping into the lobby. he dropped onto a chair that was sitting there, looking at the ceiling as he finally caught his breath and got most of his groaning and moaning out as he stood up. it was painful, there was no doubt about that. he would have to go to the doctor unless he wanted this injure to get worse and the last thing that dean wanted was to add to rhian’s stress. the elevator ride was short and he pulled his keys out of his pocket once more only to realize that he did not need them at all as the door was already opened. with brows furrowed, he lightly tapped the door and it swung open, the sight before him caused everything in his hands to drop. the milk crashed to the floor, his bag making a louder crash on impact and his keys too. sean was sitting in the living room with his hands tied in front of him as the male had yet to actually leave the apartment and dean rushed over to him, ”sean, get the fuck out of here now.” he muttered, giving his brother a push after untying his legs and letting him run. ”go to greyson’s, call the cops on the way..” and he only got a nod from his brother as he took off out the door—as it was expected. sean was able to start fights, and by the black eye and split lip on the boy, it appeared that he did start something with whoever was in his house, but sean was not able to finish them and usually called upon his brother and their friend, liam, for backup. the door was suddenly kicked shut and dean whirled around to be faced with a masked man who was speaking but dean was not entirely listening as his mind rushed to the thought of his fiancé in danger. ”where is she!?” he yelled, listening to the sound of the door lock and his senses kicked into overdrive as he heard muffled voices coming from the bedroom and before dean could even process what he was doing, he kicked at the watch guy, sending him crashing to the floor before taking off down the hallway. ”RHI!?” he called out with complete desperation to his voice at just wanting to see her face, checking the bathroom and sean’s room to see them both in complete despair. he felt a gun click against his head and stopped moving as his hand was reaching for the bedroom door, you wanted to see her, go ahead.. said the voice and dean obliged. the room was a mess, that was the first thing that he noticed but the second thing was his fiancé, ”what the fuck do you guys want!? …i…we have nothing of value here!” he shouted, confusion coming to his voice as he looked around the room as everything seemed to be accounted for, why don’t we let the girl tell him. said the male behind him, giving dean a shove with the butt of the gun which caused him to stumble, ”tell me what?” he asked, looking over to rhian. Rhian couldn't believe that this was happening. She had been home with Sean, washing dishes in the kitchen. The water had been running and the plates clanking together meant that she didn't hear someone forcing their wayb through the front door of the apartment. What she did hear, however, was Sean's call towards her, warning her. The plate that had been in her hands crashed to the floor and shattered on impact just as someone grabbed her from behind and planted a hand over her mouth. She could only imagine what had happened to Sean, but what she knew was that she wanted him to be all right. She was more worried about him at the moment than she was for herself. But as she looked at the man who approached her while the other man kept her held at the fast behind her, her heart sank.
They had found her. Her arms were pinned at her sides at the biceps, but she just barely had enough leverage to wrap her arms protectively around her stomach. Her baby. No one could harm her baby. She was shaking uncontrollably. What would they do to her? What would they do to Sean? She prayed that Dean wouldn't come home and find this. She prayed that he would be safe. "Bring her into the bedroom." The man in front of her all but growled. She was roughly manhandled down the hallway and into the bedroom that she shared with Dean. The door was kicked closed behind her and she was all but flung on the bed right there in the middle of the room. She was careful to land in such a way that her stomach wasn't injured.
"You were incredibly hard to track down, Rhian..." The man in front of her said. "I gave you what you wanted last time. What the hell do you want from me now?" She wanted to know. She was desperate to know at the moment. "You took my livelihood. All of my equipment is gone. You made sure of that. Just... Just leave me alone!" "RHI!" She stilled. It was Dean's voice, seized with panic. No. No he couldn't be here. He shouldn't be here. "Dean..." She whispered, the near hysteria breaking through her voice. There were many tense moments where Rhi wasn't sure what was going on or where her fiance was. She was crying, though she barely realized it. Finally, the door knob turned and Dean came through the door... followed by a man holding a gun to his head. Her hand trembled as it covered her mouth.
They wanted her to tell him what was going on. Rhian had already explained to him that there were men after her after what she had photographed. She'd already explained to him that she'd had everything taken from him and had warned him that they might come looking for her. For a while, Dean was able to make her forget and think that maybe they had lost interest in her. But that hadn't been the case. And now, again, everything that was important to her - far more important than her camera equipment - was in grave danger. "They found me, Dean..." Was all she could say in the moment. She didn't know what they wanted now or how they planned to get it, but she knew that they had to think of something fast or there was a chance that they'd both wind up dead.

I'LL BE YOUR HERO WHOSE STANDING STRONG, WHO PROTECTS YOU FROM ANY FIGHT MEL W/RHIAN , 1062 , TSHIRT&SHORTS , OOOH BABY. DRAMA ALERT. he had not expected to come home to his, it was not his ideal welcoming but at least rhian was alive and his brother was safe and the hopefully the police were on their way. he might be able to stall them long enough for help to arrive, long enough to keep both of them alive as the guns were a good indication of the final leg of the plan. they already broke in, tied up his brother, took his fiancé hostage and they must not have expected him home because the watchdog of a teenage boy looked surprised to see him. he had to see her, it was the first thing that came to mind and he gladly let a gun rest into the small of his back in order to be led to her side. seeing her small form quivering was enough to send him over the edge and his arms wrapped around her body quickly, pressing a hand to his stomach and feeling a breath of relief escape his body as he felt a small kick to his hand, the usual reaction. ”…rhi..” he mumbled into her hair, breathing her in as though it was the last time. he felt like it could very well be as the gun was reminded with a jab into his kidney that caused his knees to buckle and the breath to be knocked out of his body. the hit was unexpected and painful and it caused him to tumble, dropping his grip on rhian in order not to drag her down with him. he did not say a word, just stayed on his knees and quite possibly began to think about praying to any deity that would listen, anyone that would answer his pray and save them and their unborn child. ”who?’” he finally mumbled, having been so in bliss with his life that he had forgotten about the bounty that was plastered on his fiance’s head but it was obvious that these men had not. ”okay…guys..you took everything. she forgot about you guys, how much could she actually remember?” he asked cautious moving to his feet once more and starting to shield her body with his own, taking small sidesteps with his hands in the air to show that he meant no harm. adrenaline was rushing through his body and he could feel the pulse in his neck thumping away to the rhythm of his heart. he could feel every muscle in his body growing tenser as the seconds passed and he suddenly looked to rhian, giving her a signal to run with just a single look before he let his protective instincts take over and sent himself flying at the ring leader. he had no thoughts to the guns that they males had as he pounded one fist into the leader’s face before he received the blow back. his fighting skills were up to par but he was outnumbered and that was where his weakness was. he tumbled, rolling on the ground and tried to keep as much movement as possible to keep himself from being a perfectly still target. his body was turning onto the ground and he hoped that rhian had taken off as he pulled the distraction. he turned his head to look. giving the leader the amp that he needed to shove dean off and into the wall. his back collided, followed by the back of his head and he fell to the ground with his eyes growing heavy. a scream rushed through the air and his head picked up to see the leader moving to his fiancé, but dean could not find it in himself to rise to his feet and accept the challenge. his body ached, blood was coming out of his nose, mouth and the small cuts on his cheek. he got nicked by a blade and the fight from earlier had its own set of injuries that had felt fine until the hard collision. ”rhian!” he yelled out, reaching for anything to steady himself, and he got halfway up before an accomplice kicked him back down again. a hard kick to his ribs and that was it for the male as he slumped against the wall, feeling his shirt being tugged as a means to keep him still. ”she’s pretty boss.. and he thrashed in the hold of the male, wanting to do nothing more than to knock his teeth out at the moment. can we savor her before killing her?.. and dean’s breath accelerated along with the pain in his chest from the heartache he was feeling. his body was rejected his natural instincts to protect what was his and though rhian was not a piece of property, she was his everything. ”I swear…if you touch her…” he growled out but the gun to his head was a reminder that he did not have the upper hand this time. he watched the leader’s hand slip under her shirt, move through her hair and it killed him, physically made him feel nauseous. he could not imagine the fear in rhian’s mind at that moment, but he could feel nothing but rage in his own. the look on her face, the look of terror as though the life was being ripped out of her was evident and he stirred in his seat, trying to make any movement that would bring him closer to her. his body was not physically able to move as he was in too much pain and the tight grip along with the weapon attached to his head was enough to keep him a statue. ”rhi..baby…look at me…okay..please..”, his own black eye was causing his eye to start to swell but he still look up to meet her gaze, giving her the most reassuring look that he could with tears in his eyes. Rhi hadn't realized just how much she needed his arms around her until the moment he wrapped his arms around her and that little tiny bit of life growing within her responded. Since the moment everything had happened and the stress of it all had kicked in, she hadn't felt the little one move around. Not even an inch. It had terrified her that something was wrong... that maybe something was happening to the baby through the stress and confusion. And the men hadn't exactly been the most gentle when they had shoved her around when they first came in the house. She was terrified for the life of their unborn child. She was terrified for the life of her fiance. She was terrified for her own life. And she was terrified for the state that Sean would be in if he lost the three of them... The boy would never recover...
She couldn't help but feel as if she had brought all of this on herself. And how could she not feel that way when she had put everything that she loved in danger? She'd warned Dean about this. She'd tried, in the beginning, to warn him and tell him that it wasn't safe for her to be with him. That she'd just be putting them both in danger. But he'd insisted that everything would be fine. And in the end, and against her better judgement, she'd trusted the fact that he was right. And now... Now she wished she would have trusted her gut enough to keep them all out of danger. She never should have sought Dean out. He would have been safer without her... And yet she couldn't regret the little bud of life growing inside of her. Not in the least. Already the child was loved by the three people who would be the most important in his her or her life.
If the baby ever got to live its life... And with that thought, Rhian broke down in Dean's arms, sobbing. This was too much. It was way too much.
She froze for a moment at the look on Dean's face. Oh God. He wasn't going to... And then a moment later, he was launching himself at their attackers. Rhian's breath caught in her throat, but the instinct to protect their baby kicked in a moment later and she tried to make a dash for the door, but she was snagged around the waist, the man's arm painfully compressing her rib cage at the spot just above her belly. She could barely breathe. Kicking and screaming, he threw her back on the bed. And that was when the rest of the nightmare unfolded for her. Her breath caught in her lungs a moment and she skittered back against the headboard of the bed. "No. No, no, no." She mumbled, the tears tracking down her cheeks silently as she tried to make herself as small a target as she possibly could.
And still, even though he'd been beaten down badly, Dean was trying to fight for her. The sight of the gun to his head put her in a near catatonic state and she just sort of... unfolded. She lay perfectly still, unable to do much more than sob as she was manhandled. And even through all of that, Dean was calling out to her. She turned her head, ever-so-slightly to look at him, her lower lip quivering. She wasn't able to do anything. Nothing at all. Not with that gun pressed to the man that she loved most of all's head. Not with their baby's life in danger.
"DROP YOUR WEAPONS AND DOWN ON THE GROUND!" There was a flurry of men screaming even as the guys holding on to her cursed and tried to hit the deck. "I SAID DROP YOUR WEAPONS!" The thug with the gun aimed at Dean's head pointed it at one of the police officers that had stormed the apartment. In a matter of seconds, the thug had three bullets planted in his chest. Rhian slipped off of the side of the bed and hit the floor on the other side, curling up into a little ball against the wall, hiding behind the cover of the bed. She folded her arms over her head and made herself as tiny as possible. And that was exactly where she would stay until someone retrieved her.

I'LL BE YOUR HERO WHOSE STANDING STRONG, WHO PROTECTS YOU FROM ANY FIGHT MEL W/RHIAN , 953, TSHIRT&SHORTS , OH DEAN </3. their only hope rested in the hands of a nineteen year old boy who grew to be hysteric in times of danger, but dean had faith in him. he had more faith in his little brother than he did in himself at this moment, because he had broken his promise to his fiancé. after promising to keep her safe, he was in too much pain to move and his fiancé was in the worst danger of her life. he had no idea what these guys were after now that the camera was destroyed, unless they planned to suck out the girl’s memory in the most fatal way which caused dean to struggle at the mere thought of that. hold still! shouted a voice as the barrel of the gun was pressed further into his head and reminding him that he no longer had the upper hand. he was outnumbered and outpowered and that thought killed him. he had to save her but he was physically unable to do anything and so, he called out to her. he got hit in the head with the butt of the gun for the outburst but it was worth it as the girl’s eyes met his own. she was panicked in the male’s arms, and dean noted how close his arms were to the small bump that looked rather large on the small figure of rhian. he knew that five months was not that far in and he was too excited to think about the baby being born and his own sense of fatherhood was coming into play, ”loosen your grip you son of a bitch!” he called out, his feet kicking out to try and knock the gun out of his assilant’s hand. he was unsuccessful and there was nothing but a smirk on the leader’s face as he threw rhian to the bed and dean’s eyes grew in size, filling with tears. ”don’t!” he growled out, his eyes now narrowed, zeroing in on the attacker who dared to touch his fiancé. he wished that he had been able to do something, but all he heard was her pleading, her begging, the sound of fabric ripping and the distinctive sound of a zipper. he had only been meeting her eyes, not wanting to look anywhere else in fear of endangering his own life and hers. two precious lives were in this room, his fiance’s and the baby, but the thought of being forced out of the picture was painful, more so than the injuries that had been inflicted on him. ”I love you baby..just…hold on…okay…keep fighting for …our boy..okay..keep fighting..” he whispered, revealing to her that they were infact having a little boy and though this was not the time to tell her, he knew that this information would lighten her spirits just a little. aww how cute.., the voice was mocking but dean refused to let his eyes fall away from hers even at her quiet sobbing and the motions that were happening in his peripheral vision. he had force his body to relax, mouthing encouraging words to her and then he felt the safety of the gun click off, well seeing as how she won’t be much use…neither will you.., and that was when dean’s eyes shut. was this how it was supposed to end? would he really never be able to see his brother again? or hold his child for the first time? ”do it, I dare you..” he mumbled out with his eyes now open, finally taking note of how far the leader had gotten in accomplishing his goal and he was pretty close. his pants were staring to come down when he heard the front door bust open and the shouting of police officers. he pulled his arms over his head, protecting it as plaster from the bullets hitting the wall fell onto him and he turned his head to see rhian had disappeared from his view. he never should have taken his eyes off her and with a frantic search around the room, the male leaped up and over the bed, falling onto the ground beside her. without saying a word, his body covered hers, his hand reaching down to touch the belly of the child, desiring anything from a kick to a hiccup to know that the child was okay. he felt a small foot press against his foot and he let out the breath that had been sucked in. the bullets stopped flying and with a little bit of a struggle, the men were lead away in handcuffs. his adrenaline was wearing out and he felt his body ache but he looked down at her, brushing a hand across her tear stained cheek, ”I’m sorry..i’m..just..shit..” he cursed, rubbing at his eyes with another hand, ”..i should have..done something..shit, rhi…I just…I’m supposed to protect you but I didn’t do anything. you were..”, his head shook to the mere thought of it almost happening and he wrapped his arms back around her. ”you’re okay…he’s okay…”, speaking of both his brother and the baby and reminded himself to thank sean for his favor. his hand reached up to grab the blanket off the bed, wrapping it around her and he tried to pick her up but his body failed him and his knees crumbled under the pure weight of both mother and son. he caught her before she hit the ground, leaning over his body, towering, and shook his head, ”I can’t do it..” he mumbled, wanting to get her to safety, to specialists that could reassure him that her physical and mental state were going to be okay. Rhian couldn't believe this was all happening to her. Maybe this was the price of her complacency over the last little while. She'd been lulled to a point where she really and truly believed that the nightmare was over for her. That those thugs would leave her alone and carry on with their lives and let her carry on with her own. She hadn't breathed a word of what she had seen that day. Not even to Dean in truth. She'd only told him that she had seen something but never what that something was. She'd believed that everything would be okay and that they wouldn't wind up coming for her in a new town. A new home. A new beginning. But she`d been wrong. And now, here she was. She hadn`t only put her baby in danger, but she`d put her fiance and his brother in danger as well.
And yet, Dean was still fighting for her, even though she knew somewhere in the back of her mind that her fiance had to be in a lot of pain. She worried for him. A strange thing to be doing when she considered the fact that she would likely be listless before death`s embrace kicked in in a short amount of time. He was still fighting for her. Still trying to ensure that she had a chance of survival when it all looked so small to her. She was going to die. Her baby was going to die. Dean was going to die and Sean would be alone in the world. All because of her. Poor Sean. A tear streaked down her face. It was strange how the human mind worked when it came to facing your mortality.
And then she registered what he had just told her in her mind. Their boy. Their little boy. She let a choked sob escape her lips at the thought of it all. Their little boy would never take his first breath. But it was their little boy. Their baby boy. Damnit. She wanted to live! She wanted to see their little boy born. She wanted to hold him and tell him how much his mother and father love him. She wanted to protect him and care for him. She wanted everything for him. Everything. And in that moment, something in her eyes changed and she gave the barest of nods to Dean. She would fight. She would stay afloat.
And then the cops burst into the house. She felt a faint vibration in the ground as Dean landed in front of her. She looked up only barely and almost leaped into his arms, clinging to him. She was so relieved in the moment to be safe and in his arms again that she let out a hiccuped sob and clung to him all the tighter. They were going to live. All of them were going to live. She shook her head at him though. "I brought this on, Dean. I did this. I put you and Sean and our baby in danger. This was my fault." She told him. "But I could never regret coming here... even if that's selfish of me. Never. I love you too much. I love our baby too much. I love Sean too much too. Even if he is a brat." She gave him a teary smile. She just wanted everything to be okay for them again.
And then he was trying to carry her off to safety again. But he'd been hurt too badly. She was immediately concerned when his knees buckled as they did. She took his face in her hands. "No, Baby. You can't, but you've already done enough. And regardless of whether or not you believe it, you did keep me safe. You were up against incredible odds. So don't start blaming yourself for all of this either." She murmured. She wrapped the blanket around the both of them and tucked on side under her arm and the other under his arm. "Now it's time for you to lean on me for once." She told him, tucking her much smaller frame under his arm, wrapping an arm around him and helping to support his weight as she pulled him up to a standing position. "I'm fine and our little boy is fine. We're all okay but you... You baby, you need some help. Please let us get you some help. Please?"

, kicking out but receiving nothing but a punch to the gut which was the last straw for him, physically. keeling over, he felt the bile rising to his throat, spitting it out in the form of blood, half tempted to just let everything come up that needed to, if it would make him stronger. the burst in was obviously surprising to both parties as dean felt the hands leave his shirt, allowing him the movement that he had been desiring through the entire ordeal. his face now bloodied and he was rather confident about the broken ribs and the excessive damage that had been done to his own body but that was not his concern, rhian was. the last bit of strength that he had, something he should have saved, was used to leap over the bed and shield her body from the flying bullets, not allowing even the smallest piece of her to be caught in a crossfire. not a single finger or two would be hit while his body blanketed hers in the corner, heaving in deep breaths to stop himself from going into the darkness that was coming up fast. he noticed the world was coming in doubles now, his vision betraying his own willpower as he looked down at her when she spoke, trying to determine which was the real her. he flinched when trying to scoop her up, his legs giving out underneath him and causing the male to fall with a pain that was intense. it was in his legs, his abs, his ribs, his entire body was aching and begging him to give up but he refused, shaking his head to the girl that he loved as he disagreed with her words, ”no…no d..don’t say that, none of this is your fauly…okay…sean is okay..he’s actually the hero in this story..”. it hurt him to say that, he was meant to be the protector, and yet sean was the one, his own little brother, was the reason for their saving. ”I love…you …and him..and …well..he is a brat..” and that was dean found that chuckling was the worst thing for him right now. his breaths became jaded for a moment but he caught a good amount of air to go into his damaged lungs. ”I need..i need to get you help..okay..”, but he was more telling himself, telling his body that he had to lift his fiancé up and get her to the medical team that was waiting. it was a failure though because no matter the amount of times that he told himself that he needed to lift her up, his body gave out on him. cursing under his breath, his eyes filled with tears as a result of both pain and disappointment. his eyes averted from her own, not wanting her to see the weak man that he had become in the few short minutes that the house had been invaded, ”..i didn’t..i didn’t do anything though..” he whispered, shaking his head out of her grip and wincing to the sudden movement. tremors rushed through his body, causing his muscles to twitch and he winced, every single breath hurt, every moment stung, and every thought killed. he could feel his strength slipping away and even with the help of rhian guiding him, both fights had left the male too damaged to move. his knees buckled once again, his body hitting the floor as he unwrapped his arm from her shoulders in order to keep her from coming down with him. he had put too much effort into saving herself and the baby, and maybe this was it for him. dean did not even attempt to get back up, his legs stretching out as much as he could to keep them from curling into a fetus position because that was all he wanted to do right now. ”…I can’t…I can’t…make it…you need to go…go get help..” but he grabbed her hand quickly, his eyes flooding, ”..just…just incase rhian..” because this sure felt like the end for him, ”remember…that…I love you…always have…always will…you, sean and…no name…always..” he mumbled, the resevior of strength now on empty and his hand dropping back to the ground, unmoving, appearing to be lifeless. The fact that Dean had bodily protected her wasn't lost on her in the least. In fact, if anything, it amazed her that he was willing to be so selfless, Then again, knowing Dean the way she did and knowing that he was a protector first and foremost... It didn't surprise her at the same time. Perhaps she shouldn't have, but she took a certain comfort in the moment from the fact that his arms were wrapped around her. She had never been so frightened in her entire life. She'd been scared the night that they'd gone to the hospital thinking something was wrong with the baby, but that was nothing compared to this. She had faced the near certain thought of the fact that both she, her baby and Dean would be gone forever. That all that would be left in the world was Sean. And she couldn't help but feel a little protective of the younger man for the simple fact that she knew that he would never get over it.
Rhian looked at him a moment when he said that this wasn't her fault. How was none of this her fault? She'd brought this all to Myrtle Beach. She'd nearly gotten the only three people - Dean, their baby and Sean - who really mattered in her life at the moment killed. She'd brought these men to Myrtle beach after her and they'd nearly succeeded in getting rid of the lot of them. A messy clean up on their part, but an absolute answer to their problems nonetheless. "His brother was pretty brave too." She said, cupping his cheek in her hand, wanting him to understand that he had done what he could and she knew it. She just wish he hadn't been hurt for his efforts. She was worried about him. Undeniably worried about him.
"I love you too." She said. She smiled a moment when he made the brat comment, but her facial expression quickly melted into concern as her fiance started breathing roughly. She was seriously worried. "Dean. You need to stop talking, Baby. If you broke a rib and..." She swallowed. What if he had punctured a lung? It meant that he wasn't out of the woods yet. "Stay calm, please." And then he was insisting that he got her help. She'd been slapped around a bit and shoved a little roughly, but she wasn't in nearly so bad of shape as he was at the moment. "Dean, I'm fi-" But she didn't have the chance to stop him as he tried to scoop her up in the moment. Good God. He never gave up. He never backed down and he never quit. It was part of what she loved about him. But at the moment, she wanted to scream at him.
He was trying to tell her that he hadn't done anything. "If you really believe that then you're blind, Dean Orwell. You bought us time for the police to get here but... God..." Her eyes filled with tears."You're so hurt." She just wanted to be able to take the pain away from him, but she knew that it wasn't something she could magically do. He needed help. Badly. But he couldn't move on his own steam. It was up to her to make sure that he got the help that he needed. She was about to scramble away from him and go get help when he snagged her hand. "Don't. Don't you dare do that, Dean!" She sobbed at him. "You're going to be fine. I'm going to get you help and you... You can't leave us. You hear me? You can't. I won't let you, damnit!" She all but screamed at him.
But then he collapsed. Just like that. He collapsed right in front of her. Rhian caught him against her chest, cradling his head in her hands. "HELP!" She screamed, unable to help herself in the moment. Almost immediately it grabbed the attention of one of the officers still in the apartment. He rushed in, followed by a paramedic who immediately dropped down beside the pair. She didn't want to let him go. She wanted to know he would be okay. She wanted to be there with him and make sure that he made it through this, but a moment later, the officer was prying her away from her fallen fiance and trying to calm her down while they took care of him.

,. he struggled with his words at the same time that he was struggling to his feet to get them to the safety of the living room. he looked over to see the male that was holding him was now dead on the floor with a bullet wound in his chest and he wanted to gag and empty his stomach at the scene but he held strong. it may have been all of the emotional strength that he was doing that was stopping his physical strength from shining but it seemed that only after a few steps, he was done on the ground and out for the count. his body collided to the floor, being sure that rhian was not under him when he hit the ground and assuring that her stomach was not her own cushion for her fall. the baby seemed to be doing okay as the kick he remembered, or thought that he remembered had been felt. ”rhi..” he said weakly while giving a gasp of air to accompany his words. he had to get his final goodbye out as the darkness was beginning to cloud his vision and he felt as though everything was going dark now. he needed to tell her how much she meant to him, how much he never regretted the years apart or the years together, the moments that they shared were always cherished and that she needed to make sure sean actually did his assignments. he was not really sure why that last one was in his mind but it had been sitting there since he walked in the door, wondering if his kid brother had actually done the work that the tutor had given him. ”just…you got to remember, okay? you need to…keep it in mind how much I love you…and how much you mean to me. the three…of you..” and that was the last words that he spoke as his eyes shut and his breathing became weaker. he had done too much fighting and held on for too long that his body was shutting down and it was doing so at a rapid speed. he could still hear, he could still feel as his body was flipped onto his back and his eye lids were pried open, checking his pupils, he heard her screaming and crying and willed himself to come out of the darkness but it was overtaking him too fast and then, he felt nothing. dean felt nothing but the throes of his own sub conscious where his guilt, shame and pain lived when he repressed everything that he had been feeling. it felt like a dream world but it had a reality sense to it as well, pulling him to the edge of both life and death and he had a choice. dean could feel that he had the option to step off and end his life but the thought of his child, his fiancé and his brother, his coworkers and even for his good for nothing parents had the male stepping back step by step until he felt a shock to his body. dean had been unaware that his heart had stopped and they were now shocking his chest in order to get his vitals going again, he kept hearing the word “nothing” and was unsure of what that meant. a gasp of air meant something though as he finally took it, pulling oxygen into his body and his eyes shot open, glancing between the faces that hovered over him, he’s stable he heard but it was groggy and his body was still aching. a sensation of being lifted was felt and he realized that he was being wheeled out of the apartment and into an ambulance. words were being spoken to him and if he had the strength, he would open his mouth to speak but it was no longer darkness that was overcoming him but the familiar reign of exhaustion and he let it take over, his eyes shutting once more and his mind whirling. the white room appeared to him in a haze as he awoke from his small nap to the sound of machine beeping and the voices of his loved ones. he distinctively heard sean’s voice but it was something of anger and dean was utterly confused as to who or why his brother was shouting, his mouth opened though and he produced a small sound that was meant to be his brother’s name, followed by his fiance’s name. dean! he heard the voice, turning his head to see his brother staring at him with worry in his eyes. ”..h..hey..” he said, reaching for his brother and pressing their foreheads together, wincing to the feeling in his chest, right below his ribs, ”..where’s..rr….rhian..” he said, voice raspy but followed sean’s gaze to the other side of the bed, giving his brother a pat on the neck before turning to face her, squeezing her hand, ”..a…are…you ……b..both okay?..” he asked, looking her over with that unsteady gaze, his eyes moving two or three times up her body to make sure that she did not have any damage to her.[/div]

THIS POST IS THE HARDWORKING AND UNIQUE MEL WITH HER CHARACTER, RHIAN . She didn't want to hear those words from him. She didn't even want to contemplate living her life without him in it. She knew she would for the sake of the little bump of life growing within her, but she knew that it would always, always feel hollow without the man in front of her. She knew damned well that she would likely never love another man again after him. She couldn't watch him die. Not to mention, it would be impossible for her to even look at herself in the mirror in the mornings knowing that she had brought this to Myrtle Beach and had brought this disaster to Dean's front door when he could have been perfectly fine without her darkening his doorstep. Why did this have to happen? "I love you. I love you, Baby, but please don't. Don't talk, okay. Save your strength up." She all but begged him in the moment. She couldn't lose him like this.
She stood by, more than a little bit anxious, as she watched the medics work on her fiance. She was damned near hysterical and a moment later, it was the duty of yet another paramedic to attempt to calm her down enough that she could see reason. She needed to remain calm for the sake of their baby. She needed to allow the Paramedics the chance to do their job and ensure that her baby was fine before she caused herself any more harm than was already done at the moment. The medic had just gotten her seated when she saw the defib unit come out. "Oh God, no..." She sobbed. This couldn't be happening. She couldn't lose him. Sean couldn't lose him either. Rhian jolted out of her seat only to be caught up by one of the officers making an attempt at containing the scene. But a moment later, the officer's arms eased up on her just a little as one of the medics injected her with something. It was a light sedative to ease some of her nerves.
Eventually, Rhian backed up and simply slumped in the seat she had been given, crying as the medics checked her out. The sedative had done it's job but it wasn't nearly powerful enough to knock her out completely or harm the baby. It was just enough to sap some of her energy and calm her nervous system to a degree. From there, everything more or less seemed to pass in a bit of a haze. All Rhian could think of on the way to the hospital was what her life would be like without Dean in it. What she would do. Where she would go and how she would deal with it all. She wondered if this situation with these mobsters was done and over with or if they would wind up seeing more of them. There were thousands of questions in her mind that she needed answers to.
At the hospital, Rhian underwent her own examination process. Both mother and child were healthy, even if her blood pressure was up just a little bit - but that was to be expected with the duress she'd just been under. Immediately, she made her way for Dean's room and planted herself near his bed. She didn't move from the spot either. Sean was upset and understandably so. Rhian remained silent through most of the waiting process. Dean needed to get better. He absolutely had to. She was more or less catatonic for most of it, staring into space at nothing at all, simply thinking. A few times, her eyes filled up with tears when she glanced his way. She couldn't believe this was happening to them...
But then Sean rushed over to Dean's bedside and she heard Dean's voice pick up from the bed. She was immediately shaken from her stupor and those tears that had been locked away in her eyes freely flowed down her cheeks. Thank God, he was alive and responsive! "I'm here." She was quick to reassure him with a watery smile as she walked into his line of sight. "I'm fine." She promised him. "We're both fine. I promise." She smiled a little, gently reaching over to brush her fingers very lightly through his hair, offering what little comfort she could seem to manage at the moment. "Now that you're awake I feel like I can breathe again." She said to him honestly. "Don't you ever try and say goodbye to me like that again, Dean Orwell. I'm not ready to lose you any time soon."

It was then that the male decided to make the choice to keep going with his life and he pulled himself out of the darkness, not aware that his physical body was going to suffer for his choice. he was at ease, no longer in pain but as his eyes fluttered open, dean had not been aware that even the skin on his eyelids could ache. sighing softly, he shook his head as though the pain was nothing but internal, all in his mind, but it was soomn realized that what he was feeling on the inside was exactly what was happening on the outside. a full breath could not be taken in as lungs had been damaged in the process of his struggle for the life of his fiancé and their unborn child, but he was alive and his eyes were open.
his brother was to his right, pleading with him to wake up while shouting orders which started off as nothing but run together words and finally became clear. giving a clear of his throat, he attempted to lift one of his hands out of sean’s hold but found that his grip was too tight. ”w…water..” |
he said with a raspy voice and sean obliged his demand by putting a straw to his lips and letting the liquid slowly drip down the back of his throat, wetting his whistle and allowing his throat to hydrate to the point that he did not sound as though he was back on the verge of death. dean was a little confused as to where he was, but the wires hooked into his arms and the white design of the room gave him a good idea of where he had ended up and dean shifted uncomfortably. he had never actually been in this position, stuck in the hospital bed and he never imagined that he would have been put into this kind of predicament ever. sighing softly, he patted sean’s hand as a thank you, unsure if his voice could even take the strain to give his appreciation for his brother’s actions but sean understood and gave a nod to his brother. dean could hace sworn that he saw a gleam of tears in his brother’s eyes as a result of his happiness but dean’s head turned away and directed himself to the light of his life. his fiancé had an even tighter grip on his hand and he gave it a small squeeze, forgetting about the pain that it would bring but in dean’s mind, the skin on skin contact was worth it. he had to put on a small smile to the thought of their budding family being well in health and in happiness as he gave her a blink or two, his smile faltering for a moment to the pain that came with the shifting of his body in the bed. ”g..good..” he whispered, raising his hand, a rather tedious task as his muscles were sore and weaker but he managed to bring the back of her hand to his lips before dropping it back onto the bed. ”air is good…you need it…deep breaths baby…” he whispered to her, glancing down at her stomach to see it was still protruding out which indicated that their unborn child was still residing in the womb, and still developing. ”you and sean..fighting?” he asked, flitting to his brother who was now beside rhian, staring at the ground and nodding because sean had thrown out words of anger to his soon to be sister in law, but it was nothing that he actually meant. ”I promise rhian…never like that, never again…I love you baby. I love you both…all three of you..”, his gaze moving between the two forms and then dropping to the stomach. his free hand reached over his body, placing it on her protruding stomach and giving a chuckle to the kick, ”our little boy says hi..”, grinning before leaning over and giving her a kiss to her lips. sean made a comment which had dean shooting a glare in his brother’s direction, ”don’t start..”, falling back into the protective older brother, wanting his brother to know right from wrong in the long run—and he knew sean knew his moral compass was to put due north, but that didn’t mean he always acted on it. ”can I go home?...we have a bit of cleaning up to do..” and though dean knew that he was not going to be doing much and sean was going to have to pull more weight in the household chores, dean would have rather picked home over the hospital, no matter the condition that the house was in—and if he remembered correctly, it was a hot mess.[/div]

THIS POST IS THE HARDWORKING AND UNIQUE MEL WITH HER CHARACTER, RHIAN . The moment she saw his eyes open and heard him ask for water, tears sprung to her eyes. She couldn't help it. Just the fact that he was awake at all seemed like a miracle in and of itself. Only a short while ago they'd been administering shocks through the defibrillator and she had been more than convinced that she was going to lose him forever. She had been so scared that he would never wake up again. Terrified that their baby would never know his father. She'd been so uncertain that she would ever be whole again after losing Dean. They were all thoughts that her mind didn't like entertaining but, at the heart of it, she knew that it was something that she would have to learn to live with if it came down to it. But now, seeing that he was very much alive and, though maybe not completely well, he was well enough to speak for the time being. She was just so damned happy to have him awake.
She nuzzled her cheek into his hand when he brought it up to her face. She knew he was in pain... She could see it in his eyes, but she was thankful for the touch. It was a reminder that he was very much still there. He was alive and he was still with her and Sean. But it was true. She felt as if she could breathe again because she had not lost one of the most important things in her life. Dean, their baby and, even Sean, were the most important things in her life right now. The little bump of her stomach had sensed his mother's distress over the course of the last few hours and had been restless the entire time that she had been waiting for Dean to wake up.
Sean had, indeed, hurled some words in her direction, but she was too exhausted to fight back with him in any capacity and, perhaps, a part of her mind thought she deserved the things he had said. Another part of her understood. Dean was Sean's brother. He had been the rock and pillar that the younger man had needed all these years and to Sean, it surely felt like he had lost him. Rhian had felt as if she had lost him as well. "Leave him alone, Dean..." She murmured gently. "We were both worried about you." She said. She glanced at Sean then who was looking at the ground. "I don't blame him in the least." She admitted to her fiance. She brushed her fingertips across his forehead and smiled at him a little, just so happy to see him awake.
She smiled a little when he pressed his hand to her stomach and the baby gave Dean's hand a kick. She couldn't help the small laugh she gave. "He's been restless." She admitted, placing a hand over Dean's as she watched him a moment. It was incredible how easily a baby in the womb could pick up on a mother's distress as it was unfolding. Rhian was still a little floored by it, but there was nothing that could really be done about it all now. She was significantly more calm at the moment than she had been since everything had unfolded. She was just exhausted now and wanted, desperately, to be at home with her boys... All three of them.
She frowned a moment when he asked if he could go home yet. "Dean... Think about what's just happened, Baby... Maybe we shouldn't push our luck?" She asked, concern more than evident in her eyes. But she knew the look in his eyes. He wanted to be home rather than here. She sighed a moment. "I can see what I can do about getting the discharge papers and whatnot... But you are not cleaning a damned thing tonight." She said with a disapproving expression. "We'll get the bedroom sorted out tonight and then you can rest... And then we'll figure everything else out in the morning, all right?" She asked, brushing her fingers through his hair gently, careful of the fact that she knew damned well that he was hurting.
