. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN HUNTER/OPEN , 977 , DROOL HUNTER , THOUGHT THEY NEEDED ANOTHER. the summer was coming to a close and lena knew that meant returning back to her apartment and her life that she had been ignoring for the summer. she had grown since arriving at the mrytle beach cabin and though no one would really notice, she felt different. she was not overly confident about herself as a result of a few weeks of being in a cabin with a boy but she was even more content about who she was because she had hunter reassuring her all the time of how she was perfect just the way she was. the morning sun was now shining into the living room where lena had fallen asleep the night before playing a game with hunter. three couches surrounded the coffee table that had a board game on idle, everything as she remembered it as lena’s eyes slowly began to open. all three couches were occupied, one by her, one by him and one by belle. her eyes wondered over the form of the dog for a moment, causing the dog’s eyes to slowly open and lena put her finger to her mouth, signaling for belle not to bark. the reason that she wanted to keep the dog was silent was sleeping on the couch across from her, her eyes travelling his form a little slower and she could feel a blush rise to her cheek as a result. slowly beginning to sit up, lena reached for the blanket that was on the back of the couch and stood up, draping it over hunter’s sleeping form before heading into the bedroom with bella hot on her heels. stripping out of her dress, she proceeded to take a quick shower, washing the day off her and replenishing herself for a new day, one of the last ones on the beach.
lena opted for a different choice of attire as she put on a bathing suit, a daring one for her—a bikini that was packed by someone that was claiming to be her friend but now she was unsure. peering into the floor length mirror, she tilted her head to the side and adjusted the straps in order for the bikini to be a little more conservative. she had not shown this much skin in quite some time and felt uncomfortable in doing so but the sun shining into her room reminded her of the temperature that would only be increasing as the day continued. she reached into her suitcase and looked at the short shorts that had too been packed by her friend, and lena sighed, slipping them on over the bathing suit bottoms and zipping them up. they were short, too short in her opinion but the heat of the day was only going to get worse and currently, lena felt like she was in a sauna. with a pat to belle’s head, she grabbed a shirt to cover the bikini top and walked out of the room with her hair being in a wavy style as the sun and towel did all of the drying. she tried to tip-toe into the kitchen, pouring herself a cup of coffee and sipping it while leaning against the counter. looking to the clock, lena saw that it was almost eleven o’clock and she was thankful for the lack of shifts that were coming in over the next week as she got to spend them in the house and on the beach while relaxing before school picked up again. looking over to the couch though, lena could not help but have a smile on her face as she watched him sleep for a moment before placing the cup in the sink and leading belle out the door.
not letting the door slam, the girl slipped her shoes off on the porch before dipping her toes into the heated sand and walking straight until she hit the water’s edge. belle’s tail wagged and she barked, wanting to play with her owner and it caused lena to laugh a little as she began to frolic with the small blue merle cocker spaniel on the beach. too much fun had occurred, and some time had passed before she realized that she was being silly and dropped to the sand with a huff. she was sweating, hot and laughing as the dog continued to play around her while the waves were lapping at lena’s feet. she was close to the shoreline and as she stood up, she noticed that the beach was empty of people as she played with the bottom of her shirt. no one was around, and she was boiling hot with an ocean right in front of her. the solution seemed simple but the process to get there was anything but as she continued to play with the bottom of her shirt, twirling it between her fingers before slowly lifting it up. her exposed skin felt both the breeze and the sun resulting in tremors to run across her smooth skin before standing up, ”come o-on bells..” she mumbled, her shorts dropping to the ground as she stepped out of them and ran for the waves. diving in headfirst, she took a deep breath as she surfaced to find that she was only a few feet out with belle swimming around her. giving a low chuckle, she splashed the dog lightly, causing her tail to thump against the water. lena hardly noticed how much time had passed or the fact that the beach was going to be populated soon because lena was too wrapped up in her own world to notice anything else because at that point, nothing really mattered. her mind was taking her off into another land as she was pushed closer to the shore by the waves until she was just wadding in the water with belle laying in the sand behind her.[/div]

Summer was almost over. The thought was entirely too depressing. He still hadn't made any headway where Lena was concerned and it was both bringing out the stubborn side of him and discouraging the hell out of him all in one go. He refused to believe that it was over. Refused to believe that they couldn't work things out. He refused to believe that he'd lost the single greatest thing in his life that had ever happened to him. He needed her in his life as much as he needed water and air to survive. Christ... when had he become so damned poetic?
They had fallen asleep the night before on the couches in the beach house they had been sharing all summer. As Hunter slowly came awake, he realized it. And his body protested as he sat up and stretched. It wasn't until the blanket fell away from him that he realized that Lena must have draped it across him when she woke up. And then he looked over across at the other sofa and realized that both she and her dog were no where to be seen. He frowned a moment and then swung his legs over the side of the couch, standing up. He gave another stretch before he ventured down to the rooms they had in the house. Her door was open. She was nowhere to be found. Damnit. That meant she was already down on the beach then.
Hunter was quick about heading to his room and changing. He pulled his shirt off and slipped on a pair of board shorts, grabbing a towel before he headed for the door. He realized, with a start, that there was only one woman on the beach. From this far away, she appeared to be blonde, but he couldn't make out a whole hell of a lot more than that. He knew it wasn't Lena for the simple fact that she was wearing a pink bikini. Lena would have much rather covered herself up while she was out there. He couldn't recall a single time where he'd ever seen that much skin from her for the duration of the summer. It was something that was both endearing and disheartening all at once.
Hunter broke into a light jog, hoping that the blonde would have at least seen Lena and would know what way she went. But as he approached the shoreline, a few things became more apparent. For one... that lump of fur laying on the sand was actually a dog. Two, that dog was actually Belle. Three... that blonde got his blood boiling in a way he had never thought possible. And four... that blonde was Lena. Hunter stopped dead in his tracks so damned fast that he actually tripped and faceplanted in the sand. He pushed up onto his hands and knees and looked back up at the water. That was definitely, definitely Lena. Holy hell. She was even more incredible than he had ever thought before. And all he could do at the moment was stare at her. He wasn't even sure that his mouth would work if he wanted it to.
"Wh..." Okay. So he did still have vocal chords. "You..." But his brain couldn't form coherent responses to the fact that the woman he loved was finally, blessedly, standing in front of him in little more than a few scraps of pink cloth that left very little to the imagination. And she was exquisite. There was no denying or doubting that. He groaned. Hadn't it once taken a hell of a lot more than this to turn him on? But now... as he flopped over on his back in the sand, he realized that she didn't have to try. She didn't have to try in the least. "Need the ocean." He muttered as he pushed up onto his feet finally and all but ran into the waves, diving under the surface once it was deep enough. When he came back up, he wasn't a whole hell of a lot better off. "Jesus Lena... You're beautiful." He finally admitted on a groan.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN HUNTER/OPEN , 977 , DROOL HUNTER , THOUGHT THEY NEEDED ANOTHER. doubt raced through her mind as she pulled herself onto the shore and laid down away from her towel but in the warmth of the sun. it was hard for the insecure and self-deprecating girl to not think low of herself. she had been made fun of for the longest time, she had been pushed around and ridiculed for the bittersweet stutter that tagged along with her words and her showing this much skin was shocking. however, her other bathing suit was a one piece with holes in the stomach and was worn out from the amount of washes that it had been through. so the bikini that she was currently wearing was the best option but it exposed more than she was used to but she had to admit that the sun felt nice on her stomach as it slowly began to turn her pale skin into a golden shine as the minutes passed. belle was currently lying beside her, basking in the sun as well and lena was half tempted to get up and reach for her towel to cover her skin but she could not actually bring herself to move. the high risen sun felt relaxing and refreshing but was also draining at the same time and caused the girl to feel a little more sluggish than usual. ”b-bells..” she mumbled, reaching blindly for the top of her dog’s head and began to scratch behind her ears with a smile on her face. she was not sure how much time had passed before she slowly began to rise out of the low tide that was rushing under her and scooted for her towel just to come almost face to knee with someone. she quickly grabbed for her towel as if her life depended on it but the voice calmed her and she knew it was hunter. her head tilted to the side as she listened to his first word, trying to think of what he was trying to say. what? where? when? why? he must be thinking of a question to ask her but his color was flushed from his face and she was startled, ”h-h-hunter?...a-are you o-okay?..” she asked slowly rising to her feet and the towel slipping out of her hand. she had seen him shirtless a number of times throughout the summer so why her mouth was dry was questionable to lena. no male, no person, could get this kind of reaction out of her as her eyes rushed from his abs as she had finally realized that she had been staring and quickly raised her head to look into his eyes, ”um…m-morning..w-w-well…afternoon..”. she was at a loss of her own words as she watched him flop onto his back into the sand and she hovered over him with her head tilted. belle was already bounding towards the couple trying to get some kind of attention as she stepped on hunter’s stomach to lay by her owner’s feet. ”w-wh..” she asked but saw his form was already running toward the water’s edge and disappearing under the waves. she looked down at her dog who was staring right back up at her and lena gave a low shrug as if she could read the dog’s mind, or at least understand what it was thinking as it stared up at her with large eyes and a tilted head. he finally surfaced not to far away from her and what she heard caused her cheeks to flush a color that matched her bathing suit, ”o-oh…um…r-r-really..?’ she asked quietly, unsure if he could really hear her. however, lena did hear something and that was voices. she was like a deer caught in the headlights and suddenly her head whipped around to see a group of people coming down the beach. panic set in and she suddenly followed suit, running toward the wave in an attempt to hide her bikini clad body and she soon dove into the water, only rising when she felt the burn of her lungs. her hair was slicked back as she rose out of the water, standing almost chest deep and looking around for hunter before spotting him not too far away. ”um..” she spoke bashfully, trying to think of what to say that would excuse her disappearing act from the beach but she found nothing and she knew that hunter would already know what caused her to be spooked. looking to the shore, she saw belle standing there barking as the people passed by and she quickly ducked back under the waves for another few seconds until surfacing once more, ”s-sorry..” she mumbled, brushing a hand through her hair. she was so uncomfortable right now but at the same time, felt safe near hunter which caused her to swim a little closer. ”h-hunter..” she spoke softly before suddenly launching a large splash in his direction before she took off under the water again. he was a friend and she was sure that he would play along with her as the sun continued to rise higher and soon, it was the time for the hottest point in the day. she gave another splash in his direction, shooting him a smile at the same time after having surfaced only moments later. he was a friend, and the water was there, even the bashful girl knew that it an opportunity like that could not be passed up. .[/div]

Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. She was hot. No. She was beyond hot. She was stunning. She was beautiful. He didn't think there were enough words in the worlds to let her know how he felt she looked at the moment. Or how much she was making him feel at the moment. God. She made him feel so many things that sometimes he felt it was almost more than he could handle. He didn't understand how she managed to do it, but he wasn't going to complain at the moment. Not when she was there in front of him looking like that. Not when there were a million other things racing through his mind. Namely the fact that he seriously had to get his hormones in check before he did something that'd set her running from him for life.
And then she was asking him if he was okay. "Yeah... Yeah... I'm just... nursing a bruised ego." He muttered as he lay there a moment. God. Had he really just done that? And how many times was he mentally going to use the Lord's name in vain? He wanted to just bury his head in the sand and pretend that he was somewhere else... but then... all he had to do was look up at Lena and he knew damned well that that wasn't true. He didn't want to bury his head in the sand or pretend he was somewhere else. He wanted to be right there beside her. He wanted to be right there with her where he was and he wanted a whole hell of a lot of things that he knew that he had no right in wanting. It was a serious drawback at the moment.
She had been staring at him just as assuredly as he was staring at her even at that moment. But apparently she had more control than he did because she was looking away a moment later. And naturally, the dog had to step on him in order to make her presence known. "Hey Bells..." He muttered, reaching over to swipe a hand across the dog's back even though she was already moving on to her owner to plant herself right at Lena's feet. Could he be any more rejected today? "Afternoon." He murmured, pushing himself up into a sitting position. Christ, he needed to douse himself in some nice cold ass water in order to get himself under control.
So he dove right on in to the water. When he surfaced again, she seemed completely amazed that he had given her the compliment that he had in true Lena form. He pushed the water out of his face and nodded. "Of course, really." He commented to her. She was beautiful. He wished she could see that. He wished that he could restore the confidence she'd clearly lost along the way. Confidence that he'd helped break down at one point. But he wouldn't let another living soul do that to her again so long as he was there to defend her. She meant way too much to him. She was everything to him and he doubted she ever even realized just how important she was to him.
He had to smile when she dove under the water herself to escape the sight of the people running on along the beach. She was swimming closer to him and it was wrecking havoc on his senses. He knew what she looked like in that bikini. Knew that if he just reached out, his hand would brush a bare hip or the smooth expanse of her belly. But then she splashed the hell out of him before diving under the surface of the water again. Hunter stood there stunned for a moment at the playful side of the blonde. But then he broke into a roguish grin and waited for her to surface again. She got him with another splash and a radiant smile that dazzled the hell out of him. He splashed her non-stop as he approached her, getting closer to her until he could wrap his arms around her waist and pull her down into the water with him.
Big mistake. He should have kept his hands off because the moment that he touched her, he felt like he was on fire. He surfaced with her once more, laughing, but he stopped abruptly as he looked at her. Her lashes were spiked with beads of water... Her eyes were so damned blue. She was beautiful and he knew he was going to kiss her. But he couldn't stop himself. He didn't want to stop himself. He slid a hand up the back of her neck into the wet tresses at the nape and then slanted his mouth over hers, kissing her deeply. She tasted like the ocean. She tasted like strawberries and everything he had been holding back all summer. She was his, damnit. He just wished he could make her see that.
When he finally came to his senses he closed his eyes and lay his forehead against hers. "Sorry... I... I should have asked first." He said, sounding more than just a little guilty.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN the water was refreshing against her heated skin, she was tired but also restless and it was as if the water brought out a whole new side to her, she was not confident but she was playful and that resulted in the small water fight to occur between the two of them. they tossed water in eachother’s directions, grinning as she tried to stop the shield of water from attacking her as she covered her face with her hands but she was laughing and smiling. out of all the time that the two spent on the beach, it was nothing like this as lena usually stayed on the beach with her dog and belle used to go into the water with hunter and swim around him but lena usually remained on the shore. the only reason that her body was even in the water with hunter was because of the fact that someone else had entered the beach and that had frightened her. now she had no idea why she had not entered the water soon as it was refreshing, cool, and calm and she was actually enjoying it. her body was hidden from view, she did not have to speak and all she had to do was laugh and suddenly, she was in a playful mood as she made the ultimate choice to splash hunter. the look on his face had her falling into a fit of giggles before she dived under the waves and tried to swim away before he caught her. however, lena knew that her air would run out eventually and she was forced to resurface, feeling small waves of spray hitting her face and having nothing but a smile on her face.
she felt the waves getting larger, the spray getting harder as he approached her and she squealed to his touch as he wrapped his arms around her bare waist, a spot that no male had ever really touched—being bare skin of her stomach and she gasped as she was suddenly pulled under the water with him. she let out a small string of coughs as she water had rushed up her nose as they had been shoved under the water forcefully but she was excited, she was happy. her hand had to rest on his shoulder and she hoped that he was okay with that as her fingertips dug into his skin in order to keep a good grip and to keep her above the water. ”h-hunter?..” she asked with concern in her voice as she was just looking at her with a stare, one that was slightly intense. the stare was like that of their first kiss and it was only when her train of thought had stopped, did she start to feel the hand that was sliding up her back and caused an involuntary shiver to erupt through her. ”w-what..” but the hand in her hand caused her voice to shut down as he leaned in closer and then his lips were silencing anything that she had to say. shocked was the first thing to come to mind as her eyes widened instead of closing but soon, it was the familiar taste of hunter, the trust that once had for him, nothing about her ex mattered at that moment as her body instinctively moved against his and the grip on his shoulder tightened to keep her body afloat and close to his. she knew that he had her, but she wanted to make sure that she had him as well. her lips moved along his, following the same pace until the intensity became too much for her and she had to slow her pace but luckily for her, he was already pulling back. her eyes slowly opened and she had to blink more than once causing the water to drip off her eye lashes and rush down her face. she had the words and the breath knocked out of her, ”..n-no..um…d-d-don’t…it’s…f—ffine..” but her voice was shaky. she was not scared though, she was in shock, she was excited, and possibly a little turned on as her body pressed into his as the waves moved them closer to one another. she dropped her eyes to the water as she felt his forehead against hers. ”um..” but she could not think of the words as her teeth began to knock together and goose bumps began to appear on her skin, ”I’m um..c-c-cold…I’m..um..” but instead of explaining what she was going to do, lena slowly began to pull out of his grip and dove under water and headed back onto the shore where belle was barking. she cooed her dog down who bounded up next to her as lena bent down to grab the nearest towel and wrapped it around her body, but she looked out to the water and gave him a smile. his taste was still on her lips, and lena enjoyed the flavor, she liked the way that she felt at the moment but the fact that he had hurt her was still resting in the back of her mind and she quickly looked away and lowered herself into the sand with the towel hiding everything that had got him going from the world as lena suddenly felt very insecure as she brushed a finger across her lower lip. .[/div]

This was a whole new side of Lena that he appreciated and loved. Seeing her laugh and joke around as she was just then was like a breath of fresh air and he never wanted it to end. He always wanted to hear the sound of her laughter ringing in his ears. Christ, he was so lovestruck that it made him sick to think about sometimes, but he couldn't help himself. He craved the same trusting relationship he'd had with her before the shit had hit the fan. He craved the way that she used to look at him - as if he were the only man in the world. He craved a hell of a lot that he had lost once already. But he was determined to get it all back if for no other reason than that he knew he loved her this damned much. He'd finally experienced love in its simplest form and purest of levels and he wanted to experience it again with her. He wanted her to give him the same level of love and trust she had once had. He just wanted her.
Some part of his brain registered that he had caught her off guard and a small voice in the back of his mind told him that he needed to stop. He needed to pull back before he wound up kissing her. But then he couldn't stop himself. He could very well be ruining everything that he had been working towards all summer with this, but he couldn't help himself. He needed a taste of her. He needed to feel close to her again. Who knew if he'd ever have the chance to feel this close to paradise again? It was a thought that didn't sit well with him at all, but a reality that he very well may have needed to learn to face. It scared him to think it might be true, but it was something that he needed to deal with all the same. Why did this all have to be so confusing? This was the one thing in his life that he couldn't control and it scared the shit out of him.
But she was kissing him back. She was kissing him back just as willingly for a while. But then, as he regained his senses, he sensed her own reluctance in the kiss and knew that he had done the right thing in pulling away, even if he didn't want to. Even if he wasn't ready for it to be over. She was trying to ease his worries away, even as he knew that it hadn't been fine. He felt guilty as hell. And just like that, she shut herself down from him and detached herself from him. He watched her as she dove under the waves. He could see her as she made her way back towards the shoreline. Christ... he had never felt like breaking down and yelling and cursing at the world before. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what direction to take with her or how to proceed. He felt lost. Completely and utterly lost. He ran his hands through his wet hair, pushing more of the water out of it before he grudgingly started turning towards the shoreline again. At the very least, he had to make sure she was okay.
He headed back on up to where she was laying on the sand by that time. It drove him nuts knowing that she was that self conscious of herself that she had to cover herself up with the towel like that again. He only paused long enough beside her to glance at her. "You're beautiful, Lena. And I wish you didn't feel the need to hide from the world. I'm a jerk and I shouldn't have touched you without your permission. I just don't know when I'll ever get it through my head that you're a piece of Heaven that I'm just never meant to have for myself." With a dejected sigh, he pushed past her, carrying on his way up the beach and back towards the house.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN MEL BBY W/ HUNTER , 990 , SUNDRESS , FDJAFKDSAF. the kiss was still left on her lips as she slowly pulled herself out of his grip and into the grip of the water surrounding her. she could touch the bottom and yet, she was treading water, feeling as though she had to keep her head above water without standing on her own two feet. her body was bobbing, following the current of the waves as they brushed past her resulting in a line of tremors to rush both up her spine and across her limbs. she was suddenly feeling both cold and very exposed and she used that excuse to pull herself away from his eyes and onto the shore of the beach where the towel was wrapped around her in a second. belle was laying beside her, and she reached over to stroke the dog’s smooth ears in an attempt to calm her own racing heart. she had enjoyed that kiss a little too much, more than she would even begin to fathom about and a part of her did not want to stop but the other part of her was conflicting as she was pushed back into her shell with the domination of her shy side. she couldn’t get the satisfaction of being with someone because there was always a part of her that would not let her get even close to happiness before it was shut out by her own insecurities. she was not an unhappy girl and oddly enough, she was able to see the best in people before even they even believed that they had a good side. she saw the silver lining in everything and as she reached up to touch her lips with her cold, damp fingers, she had a smile come to her lips. she already knew what the silver lining was and as she watched hunter rise out of the water, her mouth opened to express exactly what it was that she was feeling. happy, secure but his words caused her mouth to suddenly snap shut and her jaw felt like it was wired shut as she physically flinched as he spoke his last words and then moved past her, retreating back to the house that was once her haven.
her eyes suddenly glazed over as she turned to watch him walk away from her from a spot over her shoulder, her wet hair falling into her face and she made no attempt to move it. his body moved further away and she felt herself choking back the tears before her head slowly turned and she looked down at belle who was staring up at her with puppy dog eyes that pleaded for her to go follow. ”…I’m s-s-such a j-jerk..belle..” she spoke with a whispered tone but remained seated. lena had never taken control of anything in her life except the actual moving out of her house and trying to make it on her own, which was failing. she was just failing at everything and she let out a small sigh while staring at the ocean. she never believed that she was meant for anyone, she was too damaged, too freaky and strange and her stutter never seemed to miss an appearance either. ”…p-piece of h-h-heaven?” she questioned with a disbelief to her words as she finally slowly began to rise off the sand and motioned for belle to follow with a snap of her fingers which caused the dog to obey. she was half tempted to pick the small cocker spaniel up but she realized that would be coddling and she was trying not to do that so much with her pet. her steps took her up the beach as the house started to become visible, her steps slowed until she came to a full stand still and stared at the front door for a moment. the towel was resting on her shoulders, covering most of her back and her hand was rushing through her hair a few times when it came to her nerves. her lips were still tingling, she was still shaking but something about watching hunter walk away had opened her eyes a little more to the fact that she was pushing him away and it was without intention. belle was already at the door when lena finally reached it, the sun now high in the sky and beating against her back until the door closed behind her and she was hit with a refreshing cool air that was circulating around the house. ”..h-hunt?..” she asked calmly before looking around for any signs of him. sighing, she began to walk to her bedroom, untying the top of her bathing suit as she did until she reached her room and quietly shut the door behind her. changing out of the bikini, she opted for a sundress that was a little more revealing as once again, her friend packed her bags for her. stepping out of the room, she spotted his form and it brought an instant smile to her face which she could not say about a lot of people as hunter was the only one that could probably tell her the true color of her eyes. ”…I’m s-s-sorry…” she spoke clearly, her voice no longer whispering as her fingers played with the material of the couch while standing behind it. ”…y-you don’t…h-have to g-get that through y-yyour head hunter…b-because..”, that much was whispered, she did not want him to believe that she was unattainable, ”…I c-can’t lose you..w-w-watching you w-walk away o-only..s-s-seconds ago h-hurt..” and she knew the pain that he felt. her head was now ducked, she felt the words just coming up her throat before she could even process them, ”…I l-l-love you h-hunter…” she said, her head slowly picking up to look at him, waiting for his reaction to her words. she had never said them to anyone of the opposite gender, and he had to know that she really meant them. .[/div]

Hunter couldn't help the way he just lost control of his emotions for a moment. He couldn't remember anything in life he had ever wanted as badly as he wanted Lena. He wanted her to realize just how much she meant to him, even if she didn't think it made sense. And maybe... maybe that was part of the key. Maybe explaining it to her... explaining what he was thinking and feeling would be a good way to start making her see what he saw. But he wasn't sure that he'd be able to do that. Would he be able to push past his own reservations and the way he had been doing things for himself for a number of years to make an attempt at getting her to see how much she meant to him? He paused a moment, thinking about it. He knew the answer. He would be able to do it because he loved her. He would always love her.
Hunter headed for his room almost immediately, all but slamming the door behind him. He was angry, but he wasn't sure if he was angrier with the circumstances or with himself for throwing away what he had with her to begin with. He wasn't sure if things would ever be right for him again or if he'd spend a lifetime just being Lena's friend and never being able to just hold her... touch her... kiss her whenever the mood took him. It had taken all of his willpower and strength to hold back for as long as he had already. And then his resolve had finally snapped today and he'd wound up driving her away again. He was stupid and he couldn't help mentally cursing himself as he stripped out of his swim shorts, threw on a pair of jeans and paced a circuit around his room, running his hands through his wet hair as he tried to sort through everything in his mind.
But eventually, he headed for the kitchen, needing something to do to occupy himself. He was intent on going for a long walk, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge when he heard her soft voice pick up behind him. He paused a moment and turned back towards her, ready to face another dose of rejection. But what he got instead nearly killed him. An apology. Such a sweet apology from her. And then what followed after that even... It was even sweeter. Hunter stared at her a moment, no words coming to mind through the confession she had just made. His heart seemed to stop, but a moment later, it kicked up beat again, this time three times as fast as it had been before.
She loved him. She loved him. Hunter wasn't even aware of what he was doing as he all but dropped the bottle of water he'd just been holding on the counter and crossed the room towards her. He realized his hand was shaking as he reached out for her, one hand sliding along the curve of her cheek to tangle gently in her hair. He might have been scaring her with his forwardness, but just this once, he wanted her to see how much she meant to him. He wanted her to feel what he felt. He kissed her again, this time with more intensity, pouring everything he had told himself he would verbally tell her right into the kiss. And once he was done, he pressed his forehead to hers, not moving the hand that was still cupping the side of her face. "I love you so much, Lena. So much that I'd do anything... Anything to make you happy." He told her. And he knew it was the truth. He really would do anything in his power to make her happy, just as she had made him the happiest man in the world in that moment.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN MEL BBY W/ HUNTER , 986 , SUNDRESS , FINALLYSDAFDAS. what was this strange sensation that was growing in her chest? why did she feel like her heart was broken all over again, more so than the last time? lena tried not to linger on the past. she did not want to think about her father’s death or her first heartache, leaving her house, being all alone, the present was what mattered to her and the future and that future was something that she wanted with hunter. she felt foolish to think that it took her this long to figure it out, this much pushing and pulling hunter’s heart. tugging him along and then cutting him loose again, she felt horrible as though she had destroyed a part of him in the process. she had never meant to string him along and that was how she felt the entire time that she was here. she had joined him for the summer and felt as though she had ruined him, he had wanted to get over and she was too selfish to let him go and she didn’t even know it. this momentary lapse of realization was where she had realized what a horrible person she was to him and that she had to apologize to him at this very moment. she had to say what she had just realized and get it all off her chest as she felt that might help the aching feeling. her feet moved across the sand at the same pace as usual but this time, lena was actually on a mission. she needed to let him know and for once, lena was not going to wait for the right moment—here and now was the right time.
but as she got closer to the door, her nerves began to kick in and she needed to get out of the bathing suit that she was in. thankful for the fact that hunter was not in the living room at the moment, she rushed to her room to change into a summer dress that flowed with a playful look as she walked. sitting down on the edge of the bed, her breaths were taken in gulps while trying to contain her nerves that were bubbling in her stomach. she hoped that she could keep her morning coffee down enough to do this but the way her stomach was churning with butterflies was causing her to have very little faith in herself. the sound of the door adjacent to hers opening caused her head to pick up and her body to rise from the edge of the bed with a hand running through her hair. looking down at belle, she gestured for the dog to stay put who gladly curled up on the bed with a tired yawn just as lena was walking out of the door to approach hunter. she had to say it all, every bit in her head except, when she spoke in her mind, it was without the hesitation, without the stutter and the way that she wanted to speak. she had stopped at the start of the living room, seeing that he was already close enough to hear her as she spoke up and said her apology. it was not even close to what she had rehearsed in her mind. the words started to flow out though, filled with a mix of worry and a shakiness that she could dispute along with the ever present stutter to make matters worse, ”i…t-t-trailed you a-along without e-e-even meaning t-t-too…I kept y-y-you with..h-hope and I should h-h-have let y-y-you go e-e-even though…” . she had stopped at her words, never having said them to anyone but family members because lena never wanted to say them without them being true. she had to think it over for one second as her feet shuffled before she murmured under her breath, ”…i..l-love y-y-you. i-it was w-w-wrong and s-selfish and it’s n-not who I a-a-am…I’m s-s-so s-s-so sorry hunter..” she sniffled as the tears flooded to her eyes. it was not pity for herself but for the pain that she must have caused him. she began to take a step back, waiting for a retaliation and even flinching as she saw him move closer to her, his feet suddenly appearing into her line of vision as her head remained duck. she could inhale his scent which was natural and a cologne that had her knees growing weak. no one had ever made her feel like this, no one would every make her feel like this and she felt foolish to think that it took her this long to figure it out but she never was a very obvious person. she felt his hand on her cheek and again she flinched to the touch but her head was leaning into, soaking up the feeling of his touch. she suddenly was being kissed and she returned it to the best of her ability, stepping into his body and letting their bodies’ curves melt together into one, her hand moving up to cup the skin of his neck, her thumb brushing against his jawline. she was out of breath as soon as the kiss was over, her nose brushing against his as his forehead came to rest against hers. she had to take a moment as her heart was still racing along with her mind but her eyes finally met his as they wandered away from his lips, ”b-b-being…y-y-you makes m-me h-h-happier t-t-than I’ve e-e-ever been h-hunter..”, and she had made the bold move to press her lips back to his. it was daring of her, and very out of character but she was in love and it was opening her eyes to a whole new side to a relationship, the side that she had veered away from as fear came alongside but she loved hunter, and maybe she was ready to take things further, if he was willing to. Hunter shook his head when she said that she should have let him go. "No, Lena. You shouldn't have let me go. And even if you would have tried to let me go, I couldn't have let you go." He told her. And it was the truth. Even if she would have tried to walk away from him, he wouldn't have been able to let her. He loved her too damned much and, as much as she might have thought otherwise, he had come to depend on her and the brightness that she provided in his life, even while she had been making him miserable without even realizing she was doing it. Even all these months where he had effectively been friend zoned by her, he had felt better with her than he had ever felt with any of the other countless women who had been in his life. She had provided a stability and kindness in his life that he had never known before and he never wanted to let go of that.
"Don't be sorry. I'm not sorry. I'm not sorry for all of this time that I've had to spend with you." He told her. And he wasn't sorry. He wasn't sorry for any of it. Given the alternative of having lived the last few months without her, he would have gladly taken what he had with her for the duration of the time that he'd already had. He would have taken the constant frustration and agonizing over whether or not she would ever truly care for him the way she once had again. And now that the moment was here where he knew that she did care about him again... it was like a massive weight had been lifted off of his chest. He could breathe again and he loved her. Lord he loved her. It felt good to be able to say it and recognize it for what it was.
But the tears in her eyes... they were almost enough to be his undoing. He'd caught only a glimpse of them before her eyes were downcast again. And they remained that way. His heart broke seeing that crystalline glisten in her eyes and he wanted nothing more than to make certain she never cried like that again. Still, she flinched at his touch, but he understood well enough that she expected him to rebuke her for what she had done when, in fact, he had deserved everything she had thrown his way and then some. He didn't deserve this forgiveness or her love, but like the greedy and selfish bastard he was, he would soak it up and never let her go. She was his and he was, undoubtedly, hers. But then he was kissing her and, for a moment, everything seemed like it would be all right.
He was glad that he could bring her that level of happiness. The same happiness that she brought him. And when she was the one to initialize the next kiss, Hunter could only groan against her lips, holding her against his body. How long he had waited for this, he couldn't even begin to imagine. He knew where this was progressing. He knew it well and yet, he couldn't stop himself completely. He did, however, hesitate a moment and pull back to look at her, licking his lips and savouring the sweet taste of her. "Lena... I want..." He didn't know what to say... He wanted what? He swallowed past a lump in his throat and was careful with the wording of his next statement. He knew what he wanted, but he also knew that this time around... everything would be different. This experience would be unlike anything he had ever had before. "I want to make love to you, Lena..." He trailed a thumb along her lower lip and looked her, directly in the eyes. "But only if you want it too. Only if you're ready and I don't want you to be afraid to tell me no." He needed to be direct with her on this because he needed to know that she trusted him not to hurt her.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN MEL BBY W/ HUNTER , 951 , SUNDRESS , FINALLYSDAFDAS. hunter was very different from her only other boyfriend, the one that helped to just intensify her fear of being touched, or even being loved. he told her that he loved her and would get angry when she could not reply the words back because she never did love him but she stayed with him due to the fear of what would happen if she left. the relationship had not even lasted long and it had turned violent quickly and helped to give the girl a rather skewed image of what true love was. maybe the movies had been right all along and the ex-boyfriend was in the wrong because hunter never laid a hand on her, he told her how beautiful she was even though she still did not believe a word of it. her eyes were wondering around the room, trying their hardest not to land on his but for once, lena found her own gaze gravitating towards another. she wanted to see them when he spoke because the eyes always told the truth but lena did not want to know if he was lying because it felt real and that was good enough for her. she could feel her eyes watering and tried to blink away the tears but it was hard to determine if they were tears of sadness or joy but she assumed a little of both. she was upset for how she had treated another fellow human being, dragging him along and making him feel like there was a hope for them when she had thought that she shut down that option a long time ago—only to find that it was merely closed to repair her broken heart. she felt whole again, standing there in the living room with the male and trying to make amends with something that they had already forgiven each other for. ”..y-y-you’re not?..” she asked quietly, her eyes staring at him through both the hair that had fallen into her vision and her eyelashes, making her sniffle and blink which resulted in a single tear to roll down her cheek. she had to idea what brought on the idea that she should initiate the kiss, but she did. having to move onto her tip-toes in order to get the leverage to help their lips meet, she had to hold onto his shoulders in order to keep herself balanced but the kiss was soft and rather gentle, much like the instigator of it. it was her pouring her emotions out bit by bit, but her body was starting to shake as she found her hormones taking over the control and the kiss began to deepen just a little. a little for her was not much of a speed increase but her tongue was coming into play as her hand was moving along the skin of his neck to play with the hairs on the back of his neck. she ran the hairs through the spaces of her fingers with an intrigued and curious touch, hesitant and slow and not actually meaning to be anything revolving around sultry but her touch was gentle enough to be categroized as that. her body pressed into his while he slowly began to break the kiss and she followed suit, licking her lips to taste him but not even having any intention of doing so. his taste lingered though, staying on her tastebuds and making her mouth desire the sweet sensation even more. her head tilted to the side as she heard him speak, her eyebrow raising and she had the most curious expression on her face as she had no idea of what he wanted and her innocent mind could not wrap around the idea of him wanting her. ”..y-y-you w-want?...” she asked, waiting for the sentenced to be completed and nearly floored when he finally finished it. make love. those words rang in her head for a moment and she waited for a voice of reason to come through but nothing did. usually when she was about to do something destructive or remotely inmmoral, her mother’s voice, her brother’s, even her deceased father’s voice would cut in and she would stop herself. nothing was heard, it was just white noise that was drowning out any voice of reason for the female to guide her in the right direction. sex before marriage had never been approved of in her household but this was love, true love, everything that she had dreamed for. they were together emotionally, why couldn’t they be together physically? she felt his finger brush along her bottom lip and her mouth propped open just a little as she was stunned to how the touch was making her react. it was making her knees shake and her breath hitch which could be heard when her mouth slowly opened, almost obeying the command that his finger was giving as it ran across her nude, dry lips. she wanted to flick her tongue out, follow his thumb and moistened her now dry mouth but she stopped herself. ”i…” but lena was never good with words, she was never good at expressing what she wanted and instead, she was better to show it. her hands slowly slid down from his shoulders, running down the length of his body until connecting with the hem of his shirt and she gave it a light tug, small and dainty but the gesture meant more words. she took a small step back, her grip still on the shirt as she slowly tilted her head up to look at him, ”..g-g-go..s-s-slow..” she whispered before reaching up to press her lips to his, slowly lowering her own body onto the couch. He shook his head. "No, Lena. I'm not." He told her gently. Despite the fact that he had been tormented with being so close to her and yet having her so far out of reach, he had been close to her and that was all that had mattered to him. How could he regret any of it when he had been the most at peace he had been with her than he could ever recall having been in the past. Hunter was more than happy to look her straight in the eye at the moment so that she could see that he wasn't lying in any capacity. He was thankful for the time that he had with her. He only wished that things could have been a little more relaxed and that the pair of them could have come to this realization for one another a lot sooner. And yet, at the same time, he knew that it wasn't something that could be rushed. They had needed to come to this point in their own time. And now that they were here... the moment was all the sweeter for it. He loved her and she loved him. That was the only thing that mattered to him at the moment. The only thing that he could focus on.
He paused a moment when she asked for clarification, hoping to hell that he hadn't terrified her. He wanted to tell her that she didn't have to. That she was welcome to say no. That they could take things slowly if that was what she needed. But he wanted to show her... He needed to show her how much she meant to him and he needed her to trust him when he said that he wouldn't hurt her. This was about her. This was about showing her something that she had never experienced before and he wanted the experience to be nothing but good for her. He wanted her to understand how much she meant to him and how much he loved her. He wanted to be the only one in the world to know her in this way, but he wasn't sure if she would be open to it. He wasn't sure if she was ready.
His heart felt as if it were going to beat out of his chest. He'd never felt quite this way before. He'd never been more nervous about this type of thing in his entire life... Not even when he'd had sex for the first time. He'd always had an air of confidence around him and, in a sense now, he supposed that he did too. He needed to have that confidence in order for her to feel safe and secure. But the fact of the matter was that he was nervous of making a wrong move. He was afraid of hurting her and turning her off of sex for the rest of her life. It was a tremendous amount of pressure to be under, and yet he had faith in the fact that he could do this... He could do this for her. He could do this for himself. He could do it for the pair of them together. And he had said it... and she looked as if she were completely taken off guard by it. He had a moment of hesitation. Had he been wrong in asking?
But something else took Hunter by surprise. He'd used the words 'make love'. This wasn't about a crude act between the two of them in order to get off. No. It was about a whole hell of a lot more than that and he knew it. The distinction was there for him, but he wasn't sure that she'd realize it. He looked at her for a moment, wondering how to proceed and whether or not he should brush the entire thing off to a later date, but she shocked the hell out of him a moment later with two simple words that made his heart stop beating in his chest. "Go slow..." And then she was kissing him again... so sweetly. And she was laying herself back on the couch. Hunter felt his heart kick up tempo again. This was happening. This was really happening. And he'd be damned if he wasn't going to make this special for her. He'd be damned if he wasn't going to show her just how much he loved her and he'd be damned if he wasn't going to look her right in the eyes in the throws of passion and tell her how much he loved her...
Some time later, Hunter lay with Lena in his arms... her back pressed against his chest. He placed a gentle kiss on her shoulder and smiled, despite the fact that she wouldn't be able to see it. "You're beautiful, Lena." He murmured. "Are you okay? I didn't hurt you?" He asked, brushing a hand through her hair. He sincerely hoped that the answer to his question was no. He hoped that she had enjoyed the moment just as much as he had and he hoped that she still cared for him in the way that he cared for her. If anything, the feelings and emotion of it all had only been intensified a thousandfold.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN MEL BBY W/ HUNTER , 936 , SUNDRESS , OH THE PERFECTION OF THEM. everything was just starting to fall back into place for the girl, she was still the same lena but something was different at the same time. her confidence was still shot down to the ground but she suddenly realized that she actually mattered to someone else. lena had never believed that anyone actually cared about her, or what happened to her, that she was just this girl that blended into the walls and though she had an immense caring for other people, she never thought that feelings were reciprocated. but she was wrong and hunter was evidence of that as he stood infront of her, declaring his emotions and his want and she had to admit that it scared her. the idea of doing anything past kissing scared her but the love that she had for the male was something more intense than fear and it caused her to be a little more bold. lena felt comfortable around hunter, she did not feel like she needed to hide anything or be anyone that she wasn’t because he accepted her for all that she was—nervous, skittish, stuttering, shy and slightly anxiety filled girl. making love, sex, the same thing had never occurred to her with anyone but hunter as she had never had that actual sexual desire to fall into bed with someone and never thought that she would. when he entered her life, she felt like a normal human, a woman that was able to feel things below the belt that should be felt and it was a welcoming feeling in her mind. her fingers twitched as they rested at her side before she slowly began to reach for his shirt, giving her the leverage to stop closer to him while lightly tugging to pull him closer, though she was too weak and he would have to take the step on her own. her eyes slowly ran up his body before meeting his and her toes helped to give her the height that she needed to reach her lips as she rose onto the tip of her toes and pressed a kiss to his lips. it was sweet an soft but it had some passion mixed into it, enough to get herself going and enough that she hoped would keep him satisfied.
lena was always about pleasing people and hunter was the first person in her life, except her family, that wanted to actually please her. he waited around, made her laugh and smile, let her confidence grow and with some patience, postponed any actions until she was ready for it. he made her happy and made her feel complete and she wanted to give him everything. he already had her heart and soul, and body would be next. she would force herself to do this for him if she had to because she loved him and wanted to make him happy. her steps backward were small but no hesitation was given as the kiss was enough of a distraction for the girl to lower herself onto the couch and let his body fall ontop of hers. ”I l-love you..” she whispered into the kiss while trying to keep her mind occupied, scared of her reaction to the touches that he was giving her. lena did not want to bounce away in fear, she wanted to stay exactly as she was, content. her body was starting to shake but she ignored it and hoped that he would as well as it was her normal reaction to a foreign thing and this was about as foreign as it got for her. sex, love, it was all new to her and she was taking it with a grain of salt at the moment but as his touches got more intense but still soft, his need for her evident in his fingertips, lena decided to try and deepen the kiss just a little as the straps of her dress fell off her shoulders. it was only some time later where her breathing was still labored and her heart was still racing but she was no longer shaking. it was done, she was no longer pure in anyone’s eyes and not even her own but as long as it was hunter that did it, she was happy with the decision. no one was going to believe it and it was not as though she was going to open her mouth about it anyway. her eyes were heavy and she felt a soreness that had never been experienced in all her life and that was even through dance. she felt a blush rise to her cheeks and she turned her face to hide it, burrowing her face into the crook of his arm. her head shook as she slowly picked her head up and gently turned herself around to face him, well aware that she was still unclothed but a blanket was laying over them. ”n-n-no…y-y-you didn’t…n-not at all…it w-was…” as she tried to find a less cheesy word than amazing but came up empty handed, ”p-p-perfect..”, pressing a small kiss to the corner of his mouth before resting her head back down. she shifted her legs and winced as the pain shot through her for just a moment and she decided that moving was a bad idea. ”a-a-am…I m-mean..i-is i-it s-supposed to m-make you t-t-this s-s-sore?” she asked quietly while feeling like a complete idiot. Those three simple words uttered from her mouth, even in the heat of the moment, made this different from all of the other times. Those three words made a world of difference to him and he could feel it right to the core of his being. He loved this woman just as much as she loved him and he knew it. He had known it for a while now, and keeping himself from saying it overly much had nearly killed him over the duration of the summer, but he had managed it. He loved Lena and he would be there for her, supporting her and caring for her for what he hoped would be the rest of his life. He couldn't tell what the future would hold for them, but he knew that, for the first time in his life, he wanted a normal life. He wanted the same things that any other normal human being would want. He wanted love. He wanted a family. He wanted time spent with the one person in the world who mattered most of all to him.
As far as Hunter was concerned, even after the act was all said and done, she was still the most beautiful and bright light in his life. She was still pure and innocent when he compared her to the ugliness of the world that he had once belonged to. And in a sense, he supposed he still belonged to it. He couldn't escape the fact that his parents still belonged to that world... That he would still have to parade around to their whims for the time being. He couldn't escape the fact that he was expected to be a certain way where his family was concerned or act a certain way in the public eye. But there was one thing he knew for damned sure. He wasn't about to give up what he had with Lena and he would never again compromise it for something as petty as self image. It wasn't that important. He had a firm understanding of what was important.
He smiled at her when she said that everything had been perfect. He wasn't sure if she was just saying it to ease his mind, but either way, it had worked. He settled in some, relieved at least, that she hadn't been hurt in the throws of passion. He had been afraid of hurting her, truth be told. And perhaps that had lead to him being just a little too cautious and, at times, a little too slow. But he was better safe than sorry in this situation. He'd never gone through something as emotional as what the pair of them had been through, truth be told. And it had been emotional. It was beyond sex because he consciously knew exactly what was going on between the two of them and what they were experiencing. And he knew that he wanted to experience it time and time again with her at his side. He loved her.
He wrapped an arm around her and held her when she asked if it was supposed to make her this sore. He kissed the top of her head and sighed. "Unfortunately, yes." He said, playing with the ends of her hair. "But I promise that it won't always be like that, Lena." He told her. "When you decide that you're ready to do that again... it'll be much better." He said, smiling at her. He couldn't believe what had happened between the pair of them. He was still reeling from it all. And she had described it best of all when she had said that everything was perfect. It had been beyond perfect for the pair of them. "We can take a nap... Get some rest." He murmured, letting his hand brush through her hair. "I love you, Lena." He murmured, unable to help himself in the moment.

. STANDING ON THE SHORELINE, ALWAYS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN MEL BBY W/ HUNTER , 885 , SUNDRESS , BASHFUL <3. her life had always been about desiring but never actually taking the initiative to put herself out there and go for whatever it was that her heart wanted. hunter, for a while, had been no exception but she was also oblivious to her own feelings, her own emotions and put aside everything that she felt due to the fear of losing the friendship that she had developed alongside of the deeper feelings that had developed in just a short amount of time. an entire summer was all that it took and lena was still surprised by that, and maybe a little doubtful of how strong the feelings actually were as she tried to play them down most of the time that they had spent together. he was not her first kiss, he was not her first boyfriend but no one was aware of the boy that had marked her skin in moments of anger and aggression and no one would. hunter was more of her first than the other as he was everything that a boyfriend should have been, and even though he played her for the first few weeks, she knew that this was real. smiling against the skin of his forearm where her head was resting again, breathless and still in amazement to the sensation that she had felt when they had both reached their climax, she pressed a kiss to the skin before slowly turning over to face him. her eyes met his, a rare occurrence but she was sure that hunter was able to tell her the color of her eyes while many would guess a dull brown to match her personality. she was hardly the life of the party and her electric blue eyes were a contrast to her actual personality.
she winced as he mentioned that the pain was something that was actually normal but she still felt like it was not. she never felt normal anyway but just a shift of her legs caused the pain to increase and she just stopped moving all together. up until a few hours ago, no one had actually seen the girl out of her clothes before so she trusted him when he assured her that the pain that she felt between her legs was nothing uncommon. ”d-d-does it l-last..l-long?” , she asked before looking down at a spot on his chest as she felt ashamed to even ask the question. she felt like a child having to ask if something as simple as a shot was going to hurt and she quickly shook her head and let out a small sigh, ”p-p-promise?” she asked timidly, wanting reassurance that something that good and beautiful will not make her this sore. she leaned into his touch, the skin of her cheek brushing against his hand as she felt her tresses being tussled playfully in his hands. ”..i-it was p-perfect t-t-though…b-but…n-next time..” she said hesitantly, slowly moving her body so that she could lean on her elbow and no longer use his forearm as a pillow, ”…I’ll b-b-be better..”, leaning down to give him a small kiss, her lips barely brushing his before pulling back again and having a pleasant small smile on her face. her eyes slowly slid close as his hand moved through her hair and she quickly shook her head regardless of how tired she was, ”n-no..” but then she covered her mouth quickly as the foreign word came out of her mouth, she uncovered her lips before adding. ”y-y-you c-can if y-y-you want though…” but it was the afternoon, the day was still young and it was their last day in this cottage, and lena did not want to waste it by sleeping off the soreness. her smile could not help itself as she was given the three words once more and now, lena knew that she could easily say them back. she used tp protest the idea of them being anything more than friends after the party and the bet ordeal but now, there was no turning back. ”…I l-love you too.” she said with almost complete confidence in her voice as the lack of a stutter began to appear. her lips brushed against his forehead before she slowly began to sit up fully, the hugged the blanket closer to her body and turned her head, tilting it to look at her discarded dress on the ground. she was at a dilemma while trying to reach down for it, her arms were long and she was able to sweep it off the ground but the next problem was getting up without exposing herself or himself. she was quite confident in the fact that hunter would be okay with being exposed but lena could already feel her cheeks turning red as she slipped a leg out of the blanket to touch the carpet that was lying across the living room floor. ”I n-n-need …um…h-how do..i d-d-do this?...” she mumbled softly before moving her second leg so that her feet touched the ground. ”c-can you…um..n-n-not look?” she asked, glancing over at him from her shoulder, giving a sheepish smile as her dress was laying on her lap. she needed to get dressed, and get going before her body betrayed her and she ended up crashing back down on the couch with him.
