I NEVER REALLY KNOW WHAT TO SAY, WHEN ALL THE EMOTIONS KEEP GETTING IN THE WAY. OPEN TO ANYONE , 918, SLEEPY GIRL, SHE'S SAD, IT'S THE ANNIVERSARY OF HER DAD'S MURDER... she awoke with a start, her breath sucked out of her for a minute and her hand clutching her chest, grabbing at the fabric of her night shirt. she shook her small head, her blonde hair framing her face as she looked around the dark bedroom and turned her head to look down at the person sleeping beside her. she had no idea why she had sat up so fast but her head was now spinning and her heart was racing, she felt a complete cold sweat rush over her and she pulled the blankets away, moving out of the bedroom with a quickened speed. her apartment was small, easy to manoeuver around and after moving down the hallway only a few steps, she found the bathroom and flicked the light on. feeling bad if the light would awaken hunter, lena closed the door slightly and ran the taps, cupping a handful of water and splashing her face. blindly reaching for the towel left on the counter, she patted the water away with the soft fabric, but she still felt a weird feeling and her eyes began to widen. she rushed out of the bathroom at a quickened pace, nearly slipping on the floor due to the socks that she was wearing and reached for the kitchen wall. squinting in the darkness, lena’s fingers ran over the calendar name, following the consecutive days. her mind kept repeating the same word until it finally slipped from her lips, ”n-no, n-no…n-no…” [/b] but as the words slipped away into the darkness, the number appeared clear as day next to her finger. her hand reached up to cover her mouth and her eyes slowly prickled with tears at the thought of the incident report, sitting in the police department, the body being wheeled away and her knees gave out underneath the young girl and she crumbled to the ground. lena was never a strong girl to begin with but her sobs were louder than intended and she felt a sense of grief wash over her as well as guilt to the thought of hunter being woken up by her—not her intention at all. her body moved to the closet, being sure to keep her mouth covered with her hand as she did so and used the doorknob to help her up. she felt her body begin to shake with the rush of sadness as well as the sheer memory that she usually kept locked away. reaching for a coat, she slipped her arms through it and then grabbed for the keys on the counter and slowly walked out of the apartment. her body rested against the wooden frame for a moment, breathing in a solid deep breath before brushing the hair out of her face. she pulled her hair up into a ponytail using the hairtie that was always around her wrist. she wiped at her face, hiding the tears and moving out of the apartment building in a hasty stride. the idea of fresh air, no matter the late hour, seemed appropriate, it seemed needed at this moment in time in order to calm her down as her body was still shaking. once the air hit her, she sucked in a deep breath of it and looked left and then right—determining a way to walk. her cellphone sat in her pocket, untouched, and she thought about calling her mother who would most likely be on the pier of her old town right now and that was where lena decided to go. it seemed right, let her feel closer to her mother while at the same time, being closer to her father. the image of his bloodied body rushed back into her mind and her legs burned with the speed that she walking as though her strides would allow her to escape the memory that much faster—it didn’t. it showed up that much more vivid and it was all that she could think about. it could be labelled the worst day of her life, as it was the first of many for lena. she had never seen a dead body, never planned a funeral, her voice was lost that day for nearly two years, and it was the first family member to die. with the pier in sight, she rushed over, running with a purpose as her arms crossed against her chest, barricading the cold out and leaving her body toasty warm in the crisp night air. her footsteps echoed on the wooden boards that held up the pier and she gave a look around, silence. it was exactly what she needed as her steps took her further along the outstretched part of the pier before her body dropped onto a bench and she sat there, staring into space. she ignored the small amount of noise including the ocean waves that had finally reached her, and a little chatter coming from people as she sat there in silence. her eyes closed, squeezing shut as she pressed her palms into them, refusing to let the tears slip out but not knowing any other way of getting her frustration out, her anger and her sadness. sighing softly, she shook her head, pulling her knees up, feet resting on the edge of the bench and gave another deep, but shaky breath. she was usually in control but at this moment, lena was feeling more unstable than ever and as much as human contact scared her, she needed a hug at that moment. Had there ever of been a chance for Axel to lead a normal life he would never ever had taken it. What he did made him who he was. Everything that Axel had ever done to innocent people added more to his ever failing human side. There was very little emotion and sympathy left inside of him. A hollow man who's only ambition was to make more and more money. It was greed and drive that made Richard Sawyer who he was - Just like his father. Exactly like his father. Day by day the similarities became clearer and Axel who dispised his father above all others had noticed the drastic transformation from Rogue and general bad boy to pure evil and he loathed it. It made his skin crawl thinking how similar Richard Sawyer and Robert Sawyer had become. The lack of contact with his nearest and dearest maybe have contributed to Axel's transformation. He could still remember the days where he, Danny and Jarred had lived together and soon joined by Ryanne, Holly and Fliss. They had a little family a real home where everybody felt safe and needed. There had been danger at almost each and every turn but they had stuck by one another and helped eachother out during some of the hardest times in their young lives. Axel no longer really spoke to any of them - He had no idea where Holly and Fliss had gone. But when it came to Fliss he considered her departure as something of a blessing , for her. He would have only ended up breaking or destroying who she was. Letting go was the final kind act that Axel had commited because soon after he had left New York without giving any of his friends a word of warning. He'd turned his back on all of them and he had disappeared off of the radar.
Axel was by no means ready to fall asleep yet. It might have been late especially considering he had been awake since dawn and dusk had fallen many hours ago. Axel was not tired and what was worse he felt uneasy. There was something lingering on his mind that he could not shake. What if he had not left them behind, Where would they all have been today at this moment in time?. Axel had spoken a little to Danny over MSN but it had been a short conversation. It had been a little bitter sweet for Axel. There was his little brother asking questions and trying to figure out where his big brother was and there was Axel dismissing his brother's questions. Acting as if he did not care about Danny, or the others when in fact he was almost desperate to be reunited with them. "It's never going to happen" Axel looked at his reflection in his hallway mirror and began to slowly shake his head "It's not going to happen, So stop thinking about it" Axel slowly turned away from the mirror and left his apartment. He had not bothered to lock the door nobody would dare break into his apartment. They valued their lives far to much.
"F*ck sakes. Get a grip of yourself man!" He broke the lonley night's silence with his voice ripping through the darkness. Axel was in a foul mood second guessing everything in his new life and regretting some of the decisions that he had made. Sighing angrily to himself he turned on the street - heading down a dark alleyway in the direction of the docks. Perhaps the sound of the dirty sloshing water would give him something other than his own thoughts to annoy him. The only thing that Axel hoped was that nobody else would be around to irritate him further - Sadly there was somebody else there sat on his bench he sat himself down silently not recognizing the girl just yet. "You're taking up quite a lot of space there. Do you mind shifting a little? This is a bench for two people" Axel rolled his eyes and finally bothered to take a look at who he was sat beside. Her face was hidden and she was huddled up oddly. No wonder she had been taking up so much space on the bench - the poor little thing was crying. Axel felt a familiar feeling deep inside of him, He felt sorry for her. "Excuse me could you f*cking shift, Go cry somewhere else Christ.." The feeling disappeared almost as quickly as it struck Axel like an irritating jab to the side.
