Natalia's life had taken an unexpected turn that had changed everything in her life. She was no longer going to be a trophy wife with all the money in the world and a proud mother and father. Her wedding had not gone the way that was planned with Liam leaving her at the altar with a smile on his face. No, both their parents were very upset with the pair of them, but Natalia, in the end, was happier than she ever thought she would be. She had Noah, the sweetest and most caring man she had ever known. He had made her feel safe and secure within the chaos and gave her a security blanket in the form of his open arms. He had practically saved her life, because if she had been turned away by him... She would've gone back to her hotel room and withered away into nothing. She honestly didn't realize how much he actually meant to her.
After she got relatively settled in Noah's home, worrying thoughts began to creep into her mind. Her parents hadn't contacted her since before the wedding and she was getting worried that they'd never want to see or talk to her again. She contemplated going to see her mother who was still in town filming a movie, and she finally decided she'd do just that. She didn't tell Noah in case he talked her out of it and she headed out towards her mother's hotel.
She got out of the taxi and looked up and the beautiful five star hotel, something she never wanted to stay in again. It represented loneliness to her, something that Noah had promised she would never feel again. that thought left a faint smile on her face as she stepped up towards the entrance, pushing it open and walking through. She stepped straight towards the elevator and chose the number of the floor her mother was on. As the elevator rose up to it's destination, she felt very nervous. She knew this feeling. It was the same feeling she had when she was on her way to Noah's house the week after the wedding. The elevator bell rang and the doors opened, leaving her to step out into the hallway. She took a nervous deep breath and headed down towards number 226. She knew her mother was well under the control of her father, but they had always been close. They may not have shared a lot, but they still had a bond. She just hoped her mother would remember that.
Just as she neared the door it opened, making her freeze and crane her neck to see who it was. She recognised the body guard as he came out, staring straight at her, "You can't be here." He informed her, closing the door behind him and folding his arms. She blinked at the man and laughed, moving to stand infront of him, "Excuse me? Who are you to tell me where I can and cannot be? Now get out of my way." She growled, moving to sidestep him. She was stopped as his arm shot out infront of her, pushing her roughly back, "You are not to be thought of as part of the Catalina family. I do not take orders from you so you need to leave." He stated in the same annoying voice. What? Ofcourse she was a Catalina. Her name didn't change overnight, "That's madness! Now MOVE!" She hissed, once again sidestepping him and placing her hand on the door handle. She made it that far when the man actually grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder, walking with her flailing body towards the elevator, "PUT ME DOWN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" she thrashed and smacked his back but the man was far bigger than her. There was no way he was going to give in. She screamed profanities at him in both English and Spanish all the way down the elevator and out of the lobby until he finally dropped her outside the front door, "Mrs Isabella Catalina is going back to Spain this afternoon without you. You are not to contact any of the Catalina's from now on." He spoke coldly before turning on his heel and disappearing back into the hotel, "But I am a Catalina..." She murmured to herself, slowly getting up off the ground. Something was very wrong...
On the way home in the taxi she couldn't help but wonder why her mother was leaving so early. She still had a whole week left in her schedule. Her father obviously had something to do with it. He had always had such a hold over her. Her mother used to seem like such a free spirit, going wherever she wanted and having anything she asked for... But now, Natalia saw the truth. She was just a pawn in her father's game. She had no idea when she started crying, but she didn't stop until she pulled up infront of Noah's building. She wiped her face and paid the driver before stepping out onto the pavement. Her jeans were dirty from being tossed out of the hotel and her arms had marks where the guard had grabbed her. Damn... Noah wouldn't be happy.
