[atrb=border,0,true] too much pain, like a paper bag in the pouring rain rosa had been working hard the past few weeks. at least, working hard to forget about him despite the fact that her job required her to think absolutely nothing except him. she had tried so hard to not get riled up around him, but she couldn't help herself. being around him just brought back every angry fiber in her body. while she was still, undeniably, in love with him, there was no denying that she was still very bitter about everything that had happened between them even though she had no reason to be. they were only high schoolers. nothing but puppy love. however, for some reason, it was so much more for her. it wasn't just teenage love. it was much more than that. he was the first person in the world who went out of his way to make sure she didn't work herself to death. he made her feel so special. and he just up and left. he totally pulled the rug from under her feet and left her on her ass. still, she had to do what boss lady had told her to do, no ands ors or buts. surely, she could keep things strictly professional. just a quick interview and leave. no problem. if only it were that easy then she would already be out of this place and back in new york. the past few weeks, she had pretty much trapped herself in her own motel with no distractions. she would get this article done. no television, no internet, not even answering texts or calls. unless, of course, it was from boss lady. she had made multiple attempts to contact ashton and set up an interview. but every time she picked up the phone, she just couldn't get past the dial tone. her heart raced, her hands shook, her voice quivered. it was quite pathetic. she needed her siblings now more than every but her sister hasn't replied to her in weeks and her brothers were off in lala land, and the twins were busy with school. she was on her own. she had always been on her own and never had to depend on her siblings for anything, but this time, boy did she need them. no matter though. they weren't here and she wasn't there. she would have to suffer through this on her own. with a deep intake of breath, she picked up her phone, ready to dial ashton's number before her phone vibrated in the palm of her hand. imagine her surprise when it was devil, himself, who called. she was in a moment of shock after the call had ended. a hurricane? how did she not know about this? after getting over her initial shock, she packed a few things in a bag and kept it close to her. ashton had told her to stay here mainly because her apartment was at a higher elevation. she had been just sitting there, trying not to freak out when she first heard the crack of the side building. the next thing she heard was the motel's owner yelling "get out" it she heard it sooner, she might have made it out like everyone else, but she didn't. the next thing she knew, the roof had given in. she scream in freight, trying to tuck for cover. she was sure there was a lot of screaming, but all she could hear was a ringing in her ear. everything was fuzzy. her vision swam with dizziness, and her ankle was raging with pain. she pushed her upper body up, trying to see through the debris of what was left of the building. she rubbed at her aching head, only to meet with dampness. she brought her shaky hands down, eyes focusing on the red liquid lingering on her fingers. she needed to get out of here. she wanted to get out of here. she tried to force herself to get up, but her feet kept disobeying. she glanced at her leg, but it was trapped underneath a piece of what used to be her room wall. she tried to scream for help, but her voice was hoarse. that was when the panic started to settle in. god, what she would do to have ashton by her side right now. tag: ashton / wearing: idk, clothes / notes: it sucks |
