[STYLE=font-family: georgia; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing:; font-size: 10px; padding-bottom: -10px; text-align:center;]I don't want to close my eyes I don't want to fall asleep [/style] [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style,height: 50px;] natalie glanced at her reflection nervously, lips pursed, fingers twiddling with the hem of her shirt. she didn't know why she was so nervous. she's been on plenty of dates before. she hadn't exactly been popular or the most beautiful, but she knew she wasn't ugly. she had been pretty enough to be graced with a few dates. but still, something about this particular one just made her a nervous wreck. her heart was racing, her palms were sweaty, there were butterflies in her stomach.... god, she felt like a pathetic teenage girl going on her first date ever. she ran her hands through her chocolate brown locks, heaving out a big sigh. she knew she shouldn't be nervous. she had nothing to be nervous about. according to the pictures, she's been on a million dates with this guy. but at the same time, she didn't really know the girl that dated sebastian. that girl meant nothing to her. she was just a stranger that was part of a puzzle with a lot of missing pieces. that girl was someone else. it wasn't her. that girl looked like her, feature wise. but at the same time, she was a different girl. there were traces of the girl in the picture she recognized, but there were more things that she didn't recognize in herself. it was all just so confusing. nobody knew how lucky they were. how lucky that they knew exactly who they are and who they're supposed to be. they had people who knew them better than themselves. that they could remember who they are. they didn't have to try to decipher between two different personalities and decide which one was them. they didn't have people who claim to know you, telling you that you were one person, but felt like that was a complete misinterpretation of your personality. she felt like she was having a mid life identity crisis.
she rubbed her face that lacked make up at the moment before falling back onto her hotel mattress. a part of her just wanted to back out of this date. tell him that she couldn't do it and that she was super sorry. but then another part of her wanted to go on this date. she knew it was a bit contradicting but while sebastian was a stranger to her, something about him was just familiar. like she's known him for years. when he had kissed her the other night, her body had immediately responded to it like she's done it before. like she was kissing someone she.... loved. which was rather confusing considering the fact that she knew just about nothing when it came to sebastian. other than the fact that he was her husband; they've known each other for five years, married for three; and they had a three year old little girl. a very beautiful little girl with sebastian's eyes and her dark hair. sebastian was unfamiliar to her, but the natalie before the accident was still accustomed to his touches and kisses unconsciously. she had to admit, she was curious as to how it was possible to have her memory wiped, but still have her body recognize the way someone touched or held her. not to mention the fact that she had promised sebastian that she would give this a try. she wasn't lying whens he had said that. she did want to try, but her fears were holding her back. she shook her head. she couldn't give into her fears. she had a little three year old girl to think about. if she wasn't doing this for herself, she needed to do this for evelyn. her little girl needed her father. she knew the two had a connection that she would never be able to touch. and while a small part kept insisting that cory was the father, she knew better. and she knew cory even better. that guy would never have a kid with her. not in a million years.
she knew she had blake, and while she wasn't exactly too keen on his baby momma choices at the moment, he was much more important than a fight. she had promised she would try to be civil with cailin because she loved her brother, and his kid would eventually need him. she wasn't that much of a bitch to separate a baby from their father. so, despite her slight displeasure, she had gotten blake and cailin to babysit evie for the night because she only trusted blake and the couple needed the practice. she pushed herself up into a sitting position on her bed. yes. she'd do this. everything was already taken care of. she could so do this. she just needed to hype herself up and not focus on how nervous she was. with her new found determination, she pushed herself off the bed and made her way into the washroom to put her make up on. she was just applying her lipstick when she heard the knock on the door. finishing up, she dropped her make up bag into her purse and slipped into her sandals. she gave herself a once over on the mirror hanging on her hotel room door, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly to calm her pulse rate before opening the door. she smiled at him and muttered out a "hello" shyly before following him down the hotel and into his car. it was only a short drive before they arrived at a small cafe. she stepped out of the car and made her way into the cafe before pausing, glancing back at him, "so umm, should we order first or find a seat first?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][/style][atrb=style, width: 525px; border-bottom: 20px #D7A866 solid, bTable]BUT YOU'RE NOT DONE have you lost your way in this life we made together? [style=height: 317px; width: 250px; margin-right: -520px; font-size: 8.5px; font-family: tahoma; text-align: justify; line-height: .9; text-transform: lowercase; overflow: auto; scrollbar-base-color:#A36954; color: #000;]his night had been filled with tossing and turning in the empty bed, missing the form that used to sleep next to him and comfort him when nightmares invaded his dream as they were tonight. this time, it was the accident replaying over and over as though he was just watching it and was doing nothing to move closer and offer assistance. the sunlight started to peek through the space between the open blinds, causing his eyes to screw shut and attempt to keep himself into the throes of the dream realm that sebastian was not a fantaic for, but never wanted to escape it sometimes. his reality appeared in his dreams with a more intense spin on his memories and it was every single night, the little things like his daughter being born, or his past life as a gang member in the streets of los angeles, were among the exaggerated memories that turned his dreams into nothing but nightmares. his muscles twitched and his eyes popped open with a hitch in his breath and his hand reaching over for the space where natalie used to sleep and found the spot to be cold as sebastian had yet to roll over to that section in fear that he would wake up and find her there, and everything had just been another nightmare. nothing of the sort had happened yet and sebastian was tossing and turning in a restless sleep since the day of the accident when his bed went cold and he was left with no comfort from the dreams that haunted him. sitting up, sebastian rubbed at his eyes, knocking the sleep away with strokes to the corner of his eyes and sighed while glancing at the clock. he had overslept and today was a day that was not meant to be overslept for as he had to prepare himself for the date night that was set for this day. smiling to himself, he slid out of bed and groggily trudged his way into the bathroom and splashed his face with a handful of water. he wiped the excess droplets away and proceeded to turn on the shower, allowing a more drastic amount of water to wake him and in the end, turned the water to frigid cold just to test his reflexes and be sure that he was infact away. the method was a little paranoid but the way that sebastian dreamed, sometimes he had to take the extra step to differentiate reality from dreams.
getting dressed was simple as sebastian took it back to their first date and picked an outfit that was similar to the one that he had worn, throwing him back into the college days of leather jackets and a random graphic t-shirt with jeans. he was feeling better with his appearance as he had shaved the stubble away and appeared to be looking younger with a shaved face and frazzled hair with water droplets still attached to it. he ran a towel through his spiked up tresses and tossed into the corner, something that he could hear the old natalie griping to him about but with no one to yell at him, sebastian left it in the corner and moved out of the bedroom. he skipped the meal that was required for the beginning of days and just grabbed his car keys from his pocket and got into the driver’s side of the car. he sat there for a moment, making sure that everything was in his possession from his camera to the wallet that sat in his back left pocket. everything was accounted for though, but sebastian realized that he was missing his own confidence that he had so many years ago with getting natalie out on their first date. he swore that this was the woman that he was going to marry and it was true, but he had never thought that this kind of tragedy would hit them like it did and he would have to redo everything over again. sighing, he gripped the steering wheel at the two and ten position before pulling out his driveway. stopping at the corner store, sebastian picked up flowers of her favorite variety and then went to the hotel to pick the girl up, feeling as though it was their first date. approaching the hotel, he found it to be a different feeling now that he was at the place where she slept, ate, and lived instead of at his own house. he recalled the time of date night, two years into their marriage, and he had actually drove out of the house and around the block to pick her up as though he never lived in the same house as hers. it was a playful but effective method that had worked for them and that night was filled with the same passion that had been felt the first time that they met, ”here we go.” |
[/b], getting out of the car with the flowers in hand and a smile on his face. knocking on the motel door, he was greeted with a sight that made his smile grow even more as he greeted her, ”wow, you look…beautiful nat.”[/b], with an unconventional but a completely cliché line. leading her to the car, they spoke like two old friends through the entire car riding, commenting on idle chat being exchanged between the two in the categories of bland topics that really had no worth to sebastian—except for the talk of their daughter. helping her out of the car, he tossed the flowers which had been forgotten in his hand and had made yet another car ride with them into the back seat, before taking her hand and lacing their fingers together. he felt like a power couple once more, sparks igniting in the tips of her fingers to the mere touch of his estranged wife’s hand. ”well I reserved a booth in case it got busy so, we can go order and then go sit..”[/b], taking note of the little amount of people that were in the café. ”and I’m buying, and if you still hate me…I’ll buy you a brownie and we can talk about it.”[/b], repeating the same words that he had spoken to her four years ago but it still felt relevant. he was always two steps forward and one step back as of late and he felt that hate could be reflected in the gist of it all, ”but please, order anything you want in any size and any quantity, it’s on me.”[/b], speaking while they approached the counter and he released her hand to reach into his back pocket to pull out the allotted cash need.[/div][/center] [/td][/tr][/table][/center] THIS POST IS THE HARDWORKING AND ADORABLE RIBY WITH HER CHARACTER, NATALIE [/COLOR].
