she said, not sure about the gender or the name that would bless the child but she was thankful to have the life at the moment. she was relaxed while leaning against the counter with a hand to her stomach but she noticed that her head felt lighter and knew that she needed to eat. groaning while looking at the device that the old woman had mentioned would cook the bread, her lips pursed with thought before moving to the fridge and pulling out the plastic bag that held the bread. she untwisted the knot and pulled a slice out, biting into it raw with nothing to spice up the bland flavor. the child was pleased with the idea of food and began to kick with excitement which caused rosemary to giggle before placing a hand back onto her stomach and giving another bite to the bland bread, ”settle down boo.” she commented softly before moving into the living room and settling down, nibbling on the piece of bread and try and keep the amount of acid down that would cause an intense heartburn—something that came with the pregnancy. with a glance around the room, rosemary took note of the things that she would find in her family’s home—the furniture, but the bookcase would be more filled, and the little things such as the television which rosemary had yet to figure out, would not be included in that list. she was confused by the device and reached for the remote, inspecting it by turning it over and accidentally grazed her finger over a button that caused the box to shout to life and caused the female to scream loudly in fight. her hand reached for her chest, clenching the spot where her racing heart could be felt and took deep breaths while looking at the bright colors on the screen, her head slowly tilting to her side. rosemary was very much old fashioned, to the point that even electricity confused her—the switches, the actual illumination of the room, it had her far more confused than she should be for a girl at her age. the cellphone that is attached to most girl’s hands was sitting on the dresser, still in the box as she had no idea how to open the device and plug it in to get the power going, or even where the power button was. she was too confused for her own good and was at a loss of what to say to her boyfriend who had been banished with her but appeared but to be doing better than she was. hitting the different buttons on the remote control, her fingers frantically smashing the soft pieces to try and make something happen—like turning the device off. ”HECTOR!” she called loudly, most likely stirring the male from his sleep as she knew that the elderly lady that they were sharing a residence with was currently off at her own job—somewhere that rosemary was on every other day. the volume of the box grew louder and rosemary was nearly in hysterics with what to do, as she hit the button again and volume increased. she felt like a child learning how to work such a simple device but her mind did not fathom the idea of pressing the red button at the top of the device in order to get the box to shut off. instead, her fingers continued to move through the buttons, switching the picture from one violent thing to another, reality and cartoon and she was mesmerized but quickly, her mind rejected the idea and finally, rosemary took a drastic step and chuckled the device at the box. the loud crash was an indication that was not meant to be the sound that the box should be making as she struggled with her hormones and emotions with water growing in her eyes. it was a silly thing for the girl to be tearing up over but she felt as though she had been pushed into another world, and in a sense, she had. the crash caused the baby to kick her and she winced, placing another soothing hand on her stomach and rubbing the bump, speaking in a soft tone to get the painful kicking to cease. ”hecccctor! please, I …don’t know what I did!” she called loudly, getting up from the couch and heading down the hallway just to collide with her significant other and wrapped her arms around him, the sound of the box growing louder as the action grew louder and rosemary had no idea of how to turn it down or off. [/classy][/classy] | [atrb=valign,top][classy=HectorP1]Hector had been working the night before at the restaurant, closing shift meaning he was in until 11 already and longer since to pick up some extra money he’d said yes when asked if he’d stay and clean the place up after. They knew he needed the money and knew he was a good worker so asking him to stay late to clean was something they did every other week lately since he cleaned everything not just a general quick wash then out the door. The extra money he got for it though was worth it because he was saving up the side bits to get things they needed or to cover costs of things. They’d worked it out so Rosemary could be on his benefits plan that he got through working at the restaurant so medical costs for check-ups and things weren’t as bad. They were not easy when it came time to stretch their limited income to cover it, but not as bad as they could be if he didn’t have the plan and her on it. The owner of the restaurant normally didn’t offer the benefits to just busboys because really that job didn’t require it, but they were teaching him to work the register and other things so he could be a waiter or kitchen staff eventually and they’d taken pity on him and his situation. He wasn’t a man to like pity but he knew when to take what was offered him because it was needed like now. He worked extra hard to make sure he earned it though.
He’d gotten in around three in the morning once he’d finished after accidentally creating more of a mess at one point and having to clean it up. He’d fixed the wheel on the mop bucket as well after that little screw up to avoid it happening again any time. Getting back to the place they were renting he’d tried not to wake Rose as he’d moved around getting a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich for himself and settling to paying a few bills so he could drop them in the mail. He’d taken on the utilities when he’d started paying rent after getting a job so he needed to make sure they were paid so they’d have water and electricity, he did miss the days where that wasn’t an issue back home. Writing out the rent check too he’d checked to make sure they still had money in the bank for food and things they may need since he kept a careful balance of everything and made estimations for next pay-day with the extra money from cleaning and figured they were doing alright. He’d finally crawled into bed somewhere around six am exhausted and knowing he’d need to be up again soon to get a few things done like putting the checks in the mail and picking up more groceries so he and Rose would have something more to eat than sandwiches and other little things. The lady who rented to them sometimes dropped off food for the two but he didn’t rely on that and always told her she didn’t have to though he really appreciated it.
Woken not all too much later than he’d fallen asleep by Rosemary’s first scream he lay there a moment groggy and listening for any other sounds of her being in distress. He could hear that the television was on and thought to himself that what he might have heard was just it coming on if Rose was trying to figure it out. Closing his eyes again he drifted back toward sleep figuring if something was wrong she’d have made another sound or come to wake him. He knew that the change in the way they were living was hard for her, knew she wasn’t handling it as well as he was but he kept trying to teach her to use the different things as he learned to and hoped that someday she’d be okay with it all. Some of the things he didn’t understand he’d ask about to someone who’d answer him and once he understood it he tried sharing that knowledge with Rose if she needed to know it but he knew she was reluctant to learn. He could understand her wanting to go back, wanting her family again and wanting to be in familiar surroundings or at least ones that weren’t so drastically different but they couldn’t go back now. Being shunned wasn’t something you could just fix with a smile and an “I’m sorry” and they both needed to learn to deal with things. Raising a baby when they had no clue what they were doing themselves wouldn’t be easy which was why he’d opened himself to the chance to learn and discover. Without it they wouldn’t make it.
He gave a soft groan at thinking about Rose and the baby, the topic one he thought about often and that left him always confused. He didn’t know what she would do, if what they had now and here would last or if she’d find a way back in somewhere and take off without him. He wanted to know his child, wanted to be there in the baby’s life and their mother’s since he did care for Rose, if he was honest he still loved her and just wanted to do right by her but he couldn’t do right by someone who didn’t want his right. He was playing a waiting game to see how things would go and it left him stressed and unsure. Shaking the thoughts out of his head he began dozing off again, almost asleep when he heard Rose call out his name and he sighed pushing himself up to his feet and pulling a shirt on over his head. Hearing the volume getting louder now he frowned wondering why she didn’t just turn it off if she’d turned it on and making his way out of the bedroom. He heard the sound of the remote hitting the TV and wondered if something was seriously wrong now.
Making his way more quickly he was startled as they ran into each other and her arms came around him. His arms automatically wrapping around her as well he tried to comfort her and see behind toward the tv. ”Rose? What happened? Why’s the TV up so loud?” he asked his mind still a little sleep-fuzzed but clearing by the second. ”Come on let me go turn it off okay and you can tell me what happened.” he said guiding her back toward the sounds before releasing her to step to the tv himself careful not to step on broken bits of the remote as he hit the power button on the screen instead then picked up the pieces to see if he could fix it. ”Did you drop it or something?” he asked meaning the remote and stepping toward her to reach up and touch her cheek lightly. ”Are you okay?” he asked one last question realizing he’d asked a lot of them and giving her time to answer now instead of asking more. she said with clenched teeth but there was no bite to her bark as she had tears starting to roll down her cheeks, a little on the pathetic side in her opinion but she was rightfully scared. she could hear the grogginess in his voice and she knew that he had been in a light slumber, probably just departing from reality and into the realm of dreams when her voice had caught him off guard. she felt a sting of guilt that was replaced as she felt the warmth and comfort of his arms unwrap from her and she turned to look at him, her eyes following his form while he moved out of sight and into the living room. huffing, she followed him, the sound of the television growing louder with each careful step that she took, leaning onto the wall of the hallway with one hand before peering around the corner, poking her head into the living room. he was bending down and picking up the discarded remote and she raised an eyebrow, ”…that’s…it?’ she asked with a timid voice, her face contorting from confusion to relief as the lines of her forehead unwrinkled and her brows fell back into place. she was intrigued but irritated that a girl with her intelligence was unable to figure out that there was a button that would silence the loud noises coming from the black box, ”seriously!? that’s it…” she mumbled, brushing a hand through her hair quickly and letting out a low sigh, ”it wouldn’t…stop, so I threw it, trying to break the evil thing..” she mumbled, looking down at the floor having the appearance of a scolded child. she felt ridiculous in learning of these new things but she knew that hector was there and that was both a reassurance and an annoyance to her, stepping closer, she placed a hand on his arm and looked to the now black screen, ”how did you know how to silence it?”, curiosity in her tone. it was evident that rosemary knew about these things, they were not new to her in words but the reality of the technological piece in front of her was astounding and worrisome as she had no idea how to control it or herself around it. a hand to her cheek caught her attention and she leaned into the soothing touch, reminiscing in the throes of her own mind before pulling herself away, nodding with a hand curled around her upper arm, squeezing it with discomfort. ”now I’m good..”, her cheek tingling with his touch, spreading in the form of warmth and a red blush to rise to her cheeks. ”you hungry?..” she asked though she could see the sleep in his eyes that he so desperately needed. the baby in her kicked, causing her to grin and flinch to the slight surprise and a little pain that came with the jolt, ”baby says good morning daddy…”, giving a sheepish grin while looking up through the tresses of hair that had fallen into her face. she reached to scratch at her arm, the fabric of the clothing being so different from what she was used to and irritating her skin daily. she was not a fan of the low cuts that came with girl’s dresses as that was all that she used to wear and that was not going to change just because she felt like she had been thrusted into a new world. her mind and body was hot and cold, pulling the sweater off and folding it before placing it on the cushion of the chair. ”thank you..” she finally replied, leaning over to press a kiss to his cheek which was something that she could see her family frowning upon but this was a new life—and these were new rules.[/div]

THIS POST IS THE AMAZING AND SEXY SASS WITH HER CHARACTER, HECTOR .
