HIGH SCHOOLER [style=background-color: #65727A; border: 10px solid #65727A; font-family: georgia; letter-spacing: 10px; color: white; text-align: center;]personality if you go in the order provided, the personality should come quite easily to you. of course, you don't have to follow the order, but it makes creating a character (from scratch) much easier than normal. the personality should include all of their main qualities, both negative and positive traits, quirks, likes, and dislikes. the personality should be solid and make complete sense and flow with everything else about your character. the personality should be in depth to the point where we aren't guessing what is going on inside your character's mind. the personality is an extremely important aspect of the application, and it is important that you carefully evaluate everything. please do not make a cookie cutter character or a complete gary stu/mary sue. those just aren't fun! [/style][style=background-color: #65727A; border: 10px solid #65727A; font-family: georgia; letter-spacing: 10px; color: white; text-align: center;]physical description even though your character has a playby, which we can pretty much use as a reference for their looks, sometimes that isn't enough. if your character has any scars, tattoos, or other deformities, this is where you would put them. if you are starting from scratch, the physical description should go second (after the history) for various reasons. the way your character looks could be dictated by their history, and their personality could be dictated by the way they look. for instance, if a person grew up in an abusive home and therefore has a bunch of permanent scars, they may be secretive or very self conscience about the way they look. the physical appearance should include all physical attributes that describe the character, along with how they dress, things like their favorite stores, etc. [/style][style=background-color: #65727A; border: 10px solid #65727A; font-family: georgia; letter-spacing: 10px; color: white; text-align: center;]history the history is the absolute most important thing on this application. if you are starting up a character from scratch, sometimes writing up the history first will help you get a better feel for what your character would look like or how he or she would act. make that you include all important events in their history, from birth to present day. things like deaths, marriages, past relationships, all of that kind of stuff. the more you add, the more solid evidence you have as to why your character may be a complete and utter bitch, or a total melt-your-heart sweetheart. also make sure you include how they wound up in crystal falls if they weren't born here. any other important stuff, such as ancestry, etc. can also be included! anything to make the history nice and long. we have no set word count for the history, as long as you can cover everything and not leave us guessing.
