page one: how this product came to be
→ knox was born in myrtle beach, south carolina. his mother left his father when knox was five years old, hence why the two of them still, to this day, are very close and look out for one another.
→ his mother came back to his life when he was fifteen years old and tried to win a custody battle against his father for knox, but she lost.
→ knox became a firefighter when he was twenty years old
→ knox got married to a younger girl named lani. they were only married for about a year before he divorced her and walked away.
→ after knox's father retired, he was diagnosed with alzheimers not too long ago and knox isn't entirely sure how to react to that.
page two: simple things to remember about this product
→ his father was a firefighter and later became a fire chief, sort of like knox did. he went into this career because of his father, and because he constantly has to have some kind of challenge - whether it be mentally or physically.
→ he's not the marriage kind of guy. he never really saw himself getting married until he married lani, but after divorcing her, that kind of validated his assumptions about himself.
→ he is highly paternal and treats all the men in his firehouse like his own son (or daughter).
→ the got his cooking techniques (and talents) from his father. he loved his father's cooking and looked forward to it every day when he was riding the bus home from school.
→ he was once in boy scouts, but got kicked out of his troop because he stabbed the scout master in the stomach with a pocket knife. on accident, of course.
page three: how to assemble
→ he dislikes disrespectful little brats, especially when they're just that - little in any sense of the word. shorter, smaller, or younger. he wants respect because he's a very authoritative person and wants what he deserves.
→ cats. just looking at the four legged felines makes him want to punch a wall. he's obviously more of a dog person. cats are too finicky and hard to care for. he'd know; he owned one a while back but got rid of it when it wouldn't stop tearing down his curtains.
→ one of the easiest ways to get on knox's bad side? lie to him. he hates decietful people almost as he hates not receiving the respect he thinks he properly deserves.
→ knox also finds that he dislikes carrots, along with most vegetables. he's more of a meat and potato kind of guy. whenever he makes food, he always has to prepare his veggies a special way, otherwise he refuses to eat them.
→ disarray. he hates things when they aren't organized and orderly, even though knox honestly has a hard time keeping himself organized one hundred percent of the time.
page four: how to care for your knox papendiek
→ storms - they're calming and, quite frankly, knox finds that he sleeps easiest when there's wind and rain pounding on the walls of his one bedroom flat.
→ chinese food. who doesn't love chinese food? exactly. although knox enjoys cooking and preparing his own food, he doesn't necessarily have time to do it all of the time, so instead he just orders up some chinese and chows down.
→ dogs. it's blatantly obvious that knox is a dog person. as stereotypical is it may seem, he owns a dalmatian named penny, and that's about the only female in his life that's stuck around for more than a year.
→ the great outdoors. nothing can put knox back into a calm state of mind like going out for a nice walk in the park would.
page five: how to train your knox papendiek
→ the piano
→ singing
→ running/lifting weights (or anything athletic for that matter)
→ cooking
→ the guitar
page six: enjoying your product
→ stubborn
→ determined
→ cryptic
→ brave
→ headstrong
page seven: 90 day money back warranty
→ although he's very hard to get along with (unless if you work with or for him), he is a lot different from what you may see on the outside. okay.. so.. that may be a blatant lie, but who cares, right? knox is brave and throws his heart into whatever he's doing with a hundred percent return of effort. he makes decisions based off of what his heart is telling him, not his head. that can definitely get him in trouble sometimes, but most of the time it works out for the best in the end. sometimes. not always.
