she found a mountain that was far too high and when she found out she couldn't fly, well it was too late. its too late, she's gone too far, she's lost the sun. she's come undone --------

Kenzie was a girl that was not to be messed with, yet she didn't look for trouble. Her mocha eyes were soft and kind, which matched her charming personality. There was a lot to her, yet there was not much at all. Kenzie was flat up country, she was sweet, and she was innocent as hell. Being raised in Georgia had taught her the ropes of being able to have a hard shell. The people there were cold, and judgmental, and from being here, it was seeming like they were the same way, if not worse. Kenzie had been hoping for better from this place, but as time went on, it was simply impossible for her to keep believing that. She could feel those harsh glances on her, judging her and her appearance. She wasn't used to it. her Justin boots, plaid tied over shirt, and her white tank top, with a pair of tight wranglers would have been a turn on back in Georgia, but here, it was like a social suicide. What the hell was she going to do?

Back in Georgia she had been called one of the prettier girls, and one of the more popular girls. back there guys liked the nice country girls, and she was right up there in that category. She was used to being wanted, but she never gave anyone anything. She wouldn't tell you if you asked, but Kenzie was a virgin until just recently, and had since only slept with two men, and only two times. She had intended to wait until she fell in love, but that plan had completely failed. Maybe she was missing out, but she was not going to throw that word around like it was some little tiny thing. love meant a lot to her, and it wasn't something to be messed around with, and she knew that. She wasn't going to be like all those other stupid girls that threw that word around, it was not right.

In Kentucky she was also more comfortable. If there was one thing Kenzie had ever been in love with, that was her horses. She had a major horse farm back in Georgia, but having to move here they had cut back on their stock, only bringing ten, then they would work off of that. She missed all the horses they sold. She had named almost all of them, since they sold the foals. There was one that she missed more than anything; Ima Cool Skippa W. That little colt had her heart, and when he had been loaded up onto that twenty five foot goose neck, her heart had broken. He was her pride and joy, but that was the business. You breed, you train, you sell, and you buy. She knew that too, but it was not like it was easy for her to stomach. That colt had been bottle fed since he was born when his dam abandoned him, and he was hers, and then he was gone. Poor little Cool. She missed him dearly, and she would get him back, she knew she would no matter what she had to do she would get him back. She had to.

All in All, Myrtle Beach wasn't that bad. The weather was always nice, and the Horse Ranch they had bought was top of the line. She had been able to ride everyday and she could feel her calf muscles toning up even more from the work she had to put on her two year old colt. He was a lot of work, and she had been working like crazy on that little man. Course, this was never going to seem like home. The beautiful girl would tell you that straight out, this was never going to be home. She would try and act like it was, but it never would be, it never could be. She wanted it to be, and her family was already settling down real well, with a few new horses, and some to train. Kenzie always put on that beautiful smile to fool her friends, but inside she was dying. She longed for Georgia, but she wouldn't be going back anytime soon. That was another thing that basically killed her. She wanted to be back there so bad with her friends, and her ex Mike, but nope, she was here and single. How freaking sucky?

In all honesty, Kenzie was beginning to forget about Mike. She had fallen for a guy called Trucker. She had honestly thought that just maybe she had loved him, but she had cheated. And she had cheated him of his right to be her first. Of course, he had found out, and left her. Why wouldn't he? Since then she had found herself roaming; just trying to find distractions to keep her mind off of him, but the second she was alone, she found herself missing him more and more. So the gym it was. Kenzie slowly entered the gym. There was one thing Kenzie looked forward too;running. She enjoyed to run, it seemed to get her mind off of everything that was wrong in her life. Normally, she shoved a pair of earbuds in her ears, and listened to her music. She normally became a focal point of eyes around her, yet she never truly understood why. Again, there came her humble attitude. The girl was absolutely amazingly gorgeous, but she didn't think there was any way in hell she could get her hands on him, so she knew she had to play nice, and play friends. She held her hot pink gym bag in her hand as she moved in with a pair of holed up wranglers that fit her perfectly with her pink tony lama boots, and her oversize pink gemmed belt and buckle. Her hair fell down her shoulders in straight waves to just below her chest, and her eyes were lined with black, and lips tainted pink.

Kenzie re-emerged from the changing room, glancing around quickly before finding herself on a treadmill. Placing the buds into her ears she sighed slightly. Was it weird that she was craving someone to take her mind off of Trucker? and It seemed the only way to do so was to sleep with someone. Noah, she knew was busy today, so that took him out. Travis... Who really knew about him since he wasn't talking to her. She knew that if she hung around here long enough she could probably find someone to at least con into being friends with her for the day... Maybe that would suffice her need for some sort of attention. Kenzie wasn't clingy, nor was she normally needy, but she had found herself needing distractions... some sort of distraction. only time would tell if she would find this or not.

Trent was so damned thankful to have a day off for the time being. Auralee's father was visiting and Trent had recommended that it would be an incredibly bad idea to put himself and the man in the same vicinity, so a security detail was pinned on the both of them. There was no one in the world that Trent would have taken more pleasure in putting a solid ounce of lead through the head of than Auralee's father. He was the man who was threatening his family and the man who was the entire damned reason that he was there in Myrtle Beach to begin with. Not that all of the time that Trent had spent in Myrtle had been all that bad. He'd had his good times with Ana to be sure, but she was distant as of late and he wasn't sure if it was her way of telling him that there was someone else in his life. He didn't care... no hard feelings. They'd been fuck buddies and little more.

But he needed to work off some of the tension he was feeling somehow. He desperately needed to do it before he wound up heading back to Auralee's father and making good on the things he desperately wanted to do at the moment. But he couldn't and wouldn't ever risk his sister's life. This was one of those things he kind of had to deal with as it came at him. So what better place to work off a heavy dose of aggression than at a local gym? He sighed as he pushed through the doors and paid for a temp pass at the front desk before heading on inside.

He made his way into the change room and locked his shit up in a locker after changing quickly into a pair of shorts and a tank before he made his way out into the rest of the gym. He looked around just a moment to get himself acquainted with his surroundings before he headed for the weights. He didn't do a whole hell of a lot in the lines of weight lifting. Enough to keep his strength up, but the vast majority of what he wound up doing in the gym was usually cardio. So, in typical fashion, he didn't spend a whole lot of time on the weights before he headed back around to the area where the elipticals and treadmills were located. He selected one at random and climbed on it before he even realized the woman that was jogging on the treadmill beside him.

And damn she was hot. Trent tried not to stare overly much while he set himself up on the treadmill, but he couldn't help himself. He had an addiction to beautiful women and he damned well knew it. He probably really should have done something about that, but he blamed it all on the fact that he was currently living in a house with a woman who insisted on driving him insane at every possible opportunity that she had. He needed to release that pent up frustration somehow, right? Unable to help himself any longer, he reached over and snagged the earbud out of her ear. "Hey... Oh shit... sorry... I thought your shoelace was undone and was going to warn you. You're good though." He smiled and let his eyes rake down her body. "You're damned good."

kenzie was beginning to find solace in working out. not only did it help her with her body issues, but it also helped her get her mind off things. kenzie had once hated working out, but now she chose to use it to help her forget. she would run, and run until she forgot what it was that she was suppose to be remembering, and only then would she remove herself from the piece of equipment that she was working on. she knew that eventually this could become an unhealthy habit, what with her lack of eating most of the time, however, that was the last of her worries. she had a feeling she was going to be at the gym all damn day just trying to forget all the mistakes she had been making.

Kenzie missed Trent. She had gotten herself a quick cure once, but she knew that it also was not so healthy to continue that path. Last thing she needed was any complications, though they had promised each other no strings, you never knew. Shit happened. Plus, that sexy piece of man candy was busy that day, leaving his option out, and dwelling in her own emotions in. Thus, bringing her to the gym. At least here she could be miserable and burn calories while doing so. Some would say maybe Kenzie was being a little too hard on herself, and maybe that was true, but Kenzie was always her own worst critic. She always gave herself the hardest time, even when she was younger and would lose a competition. Her Father would tell her everything was okay; Kenzie would practice for hours for the next three weeks till the next run. It was just in her programming.

Kenzie reach down, turning the speed up a little on her treadmill to more of a fast jog, almost run. She could feel a little sweat beading up on her forehead and she quickly wiped it with her little towel. Jason Aldean blared in her ears as she ran, letting herself sink into her own thoughts. She knew eventually she would crack and maybe revert to the begging tactic. Maybe that would work. Though, it would be a hard for Kenzie to swallow her pride, but Trucker would be worth it, she was sure of that. Kenzie sighed as she continued to jog, her tiny outfit not leaving much to the imagination for anyone who cared to look. Her long toned legs took the strides with ease, her tanned midsection glistened from the perspiration that was beginning to ride up on her skin, and her brown hair pulled back in a pony tail swayed back and forth across her back.

Kenzie had noticed the man who had chosen the treadmill next to her, but she chose to not pay him too much attention, despite his chiseled body. Instead she picked up her ipod, flipping through the songs trying to find one that she actually cared to listen too. Kenzie startled slightly as her ear bud was plucked from her ear, and she glanced over at the man standing beside her, though she didn't stop her jog. "Oh, Jesus, you jumped me" she giggled slightly as she glanced down at her shoe that was still tied perfectly. "Well thanks, it's always nice to hear about how good I truly am." Kenzie smirked at him, the under lying meaning of her words were apparent. Hey, she was only female, and he was sexy as hell. No need to judge her.
