but i'm still trying to find it i would like to be my old self again . long branches extended out, scratching against her window in the movement while the small girl was curled up under her covers. no lightening was seen, no thunder was heard and yet, the girl felt as though the world was coming to an end in wind and fire. her legs were curled under her small body, shaking and shivering. her parents had departed for the weekend, unsure of how their daughter was going to handle the idea of being home alone but noelle had been reassuring to them, explaining that she was well. the warning of the incoming storm came suddenly, blockading the young girl from her parents who were safe on the other side of the country but had no real transportation that would allow them the chance to get back to their youngest, and only child. her phone felt heavier than it actually was in her hand, her fingers curling around it tighter and then loosening up with the waves of fear that came and went with the high intensity winds. the door of her bedroom was rattling, not helping her paranoia of being put back into darkness but confided in the walls of the house was hard enough but with the added pressure of the wind and the rain, it was a disaster for the post-traumatic stress disorder patient. she tried her soothing words, whispering them under breath in an attempt to calm her racing heart but nothing seemed to relax her racing heart or return her labored breathing to a standard resting number. she tried to close her eyes, tried to sleep everything off but images of her captor popped into her head and invaded her soothing words and her momentary countdown of leaping sheep. ”…g-d..” she whispered while pulling the covers off her head and sat up, running a hand through her disheveled tresses. the power was out making walking across her, rather messy, room a challenge. she winced as her feet stepped on various items, expecting something to go right through her foot and for her life to end right then—but that was drastic and noelle suddenly realized it. with the blanket wrapped around her, she moved into the hallway where there was more space and not four walls that closed her in. she had remembered tony’s words from the past and the present, promising to be there when she needed someone. her selfless ways had been against the idea of making the boy brave the outside forces but now, she needed a hug or at least someone there. lifting the phone to her ear after having dialed his number into the screen, she spoke with a shaky voice, ”p-please…um..i just really..need someone…can you come over?..”, moving to a standing position and heading down the stairs to the front door. ”it’s..unlocked..just..come in..”, speaking while actually performing the action of turning the lock and allowing tony to gain access to the swaying house, or maybe that was noelle just standing on such shaky legs. ”…thank you..” she whispered, hanging up the phone and dropping onto the couch, her body appearing smaller with a mound of cloth surrounding her, only her eyes poking out from the safety of her blanket and staring at the door, waiting for tony to arrive.[/div]

[/style][/style] [style=text-align:center; text-size: 9px;]WORDS: more than one TAGGED: poor noelle NOTES: <3 it was impossible to sleep with the storm rising outside, the high pitched wailing of te wind whistling through every crack in the house. his parents had set up candles in every room of the house, anticipating a power outage, but through the night those candles had been reduced to little more but stubs. tony was lying on his bed, doing a whole lot of nothing as his parents presumably slept in their own bedroom, if they could manage such a thing with the pounding rain and wind.
his phone was on silent, but lit up as it received a phone call, illuminating the dark room and attracting his attention. without checking to see the caller, tony lifted it to his ear. ”p-please…um..i just really..need someone…can you come over?..”, "er... yeah, sure." the reply was instant, didn't take a moment of thought. it’s..unlocked..just..come in..…thank you..” "be there soon," he assured her, climbing out of bed as he shut off the call on his end. rummaging around in his room he grabbed the first backpack he could find, usually only used to transport alcohol to parties, and moved to the kitchen. he grabbed a flashlight off of the counter, a bag of marshmellows and a few other snacks from the cupboards, shoved them in the backpack, and after grabbing a jacket, which was more just a heavy sweater, took off into the darkness outside.
the rain pelted him instantly, making him feel like he'd walked no more than five feet before he was soaked. luckily it wasn't too long a walk to noelle's place, and one that he was more than familiar with after all of their years of friendship in their childhood. it only took a minute's walk or so before he was opening her front door with shaking, wet hands, closing it behind him the moment that he was safely inside. his eyes quickly adusted to the darkness in her house, finding her small shape cuddles underneath the blanket on the couch. the moment he saw her a crooked grin spread across his lips. "lovely weather we're having, eh?" he chuckled, not aware that water was actively dripping off of his sweater to soak the floor. he lifted up his backpack to show to her, "i come bearing gifts."[/style][/style]

this lovely template was made by Arro from Caution 2.0.

but i'm still trying to find it i would like to be my old self again . she could still feel his touch across her jawline, tingling everytime that she reached up, sparks igniting as though it was destiny but it wasn’t. her nightmare had returned along with the force of the storm and in some fashion of a whirlwind as well causing noelle to shake even more while she was huddled under the blanket and waiting for her nightmare’s sibling to appear. conflicted with how to feel and who to be at this moment, she closed her eyes and tried to recall if she was once a happy girl, though the timeline indicated that those years were not too far in the past, they felt like a lifetime to her. recalling the details of who she was before the incident made noelle realize how much she missed it, but how could she backpedal to that when her recovery was already falling apart? his touch sent her into a fit of nerves and a dangerous mindset that she had once fallen into. now, the girl just needed tony, someone who was reliable and honest with her but noelle just wanted to hear lies at this moment. she wished to be told that she had not changed at all since the time between being captive and being free but she knew it was a lie and with a deep sigh, her eyes popped open at the same time, widening to the shape of tony by the door. his outline reminded her too much of his brother with the broad shoulders and the long legs but her fears were dismissed when he stepped into the light and she quickly rushed off the couch and wrapped her small arms around him. digging her face into his neck, she chuckled resulting in her shoulders to indicate that she had found humor in his words while her giggles were muffled by her lips against his skin before she pulled back from the embrace. ”quite actually, thinking of going to fix my tanline.” , just adding onto the joke before looking to him with a raise of an eyebrow. ”oh tony, you didn’t have to…” she asked but peered into the darkness of the bag and tilted her head, ”uh..what did you bring?”, chuckling before the sound of the howling wind had the girl jumping back onto the couch, ”you’re soaked. you need warm clothes…you can borrow some of daddy’s..”, sizing him up and figuring that the smallest shirts that even her mother sometimes wore would fit his rather slim body, ”follow me.” she said, lifting herself off the couch with the blanket still wrapped around her, dragging the remainder of the blanket behind her while retreating up the steps..[/div]
