When it came to fighting, Haiden was rather good at it. He had grown up on a farm int he country where fighting was the way you handled things sometimes. It didn't matter what the dispute was over, you handled it with a fight. Of course, that mentality got him in quite a bit of trouble but he didn't care, he was just going to continue on with how he handled things. And when Kyle thought it wise to come at Haiden, the taller man made sure he didn't. Haiden could be intimidating and he could get that way fast like a switch of a light. Thankfully Kyle thought better of it and backed off so Haiden was able to return to Lily.
Looking at her, he offered a soft smile before he burst into laughter, shaking his head at what she said. "Oh my goodness, that was adorable. Buttface...I like it..." he nodded slowly, leaning on his stick. "You're really cute." He shook his head and stood back away again, turning to her. "Ready?" Once he was sure she was ready, he lightly tossed the ball in her direction and watched, hoping she'd catch it.

Lily sighed and shook her head. "I'm horribly at swearing." She admitted with a hint of a pout. And she really was. She didn't like the concept of direction any derogatory terms at another human being. She had been brought up with a subtle sort of way of dealing with problems where most of them were concerned and she supposed that was likely why she wound up with people tending to take advantage of her more often than not. It all kind of went against the tomboy image that she'd painted of herself, but her mother and father had been the quiet type while she'd been growing up.
She nodded when he asked if she was ready and he tossed the ball at her. It was a little sloppy, but she managed to get the stick in place in time and it landed safely in the net after hitting the edge of it a little bit. "HAH!" She said, realizing after a moment how loud that had been and clamping a hand over her mouth. She shrugged at Haiden, laughed and then made an attempt at tossing the ball back to him. This time, her aim was a little bit better, but it wasn't right on its mark. "Practice makes perfect... see?" She laughed at herself. "But lord do I have a long way to go before I'm perfect." She rolled her eyes.

"Just makes you a true lady," he winked softly with a smile. Haiden was raised not to swear but in certain situations he had found it was necessary. More than necessary, actually, more like if it wasn't used, hell would break loose. That led to his mouth getting a little bad but he was working on cleaning it up slowly. It was taking some time but he was managing, he had only cursed at the guys today so he was getting there. When it was apart of your habitual day-to-day vernacular and suddenly you move away from where it was acceptable, it tended to take awhile to fix it.
Turning to her as she caught the ball, he laughed gently and shook his head. "Practice does make perfect." He had to jog a few steps sideways to catch the ball but it was better than it had been before. "See, you're getting there." He threw the ball back at her gently, making sure to pay attention to what he was doing so he didn't throw it too hard, too far, or too direct since he didn't want to hurt her.
