muttered edward who proceeded to reach for the seatbelt and strap himself into the seat with a sigh, leaning back and taking the hat off his head so that he could get some cool air, rushing a hand through his sandy blonde locks. already tired from the heat mixed with the exertion of energy that he used to climb the tree, his eyes slowly begin to slide close as he listened to the scanner’s static noise, reporting nothing of interest to the young rookie cop. the scanner continued to give nothing but idle chat between the patrol cars and edward could feel the sleep rushing into his eyes, wishing for a small power nap before anything big happened. the place was crawling with tourists that came for the attractions, the beach and the party atmosphere and it meant that the police force needed to have their eyes peeled at all times which was why he was jerked away with his head suddenly hitting the dash and a curse word escaping his lips, yelling it out as he glared at the cop that was next to him. wake up sunshine. we got a call. said his trainer as edward was rubbing the throbbing part of his forehead, growling under his breath as he kept his anger under control and unbuckled his seatbelt. he wanted to make a comment, more than anything but he refrained as his eyes fell to the house that was infront of them and he raised an eyebrow. a beachfront property driveway was where they were currently idling and edward unhooked the belt from around his body, slowly getting out of the car and readying himself for just about anything. ”so what’s the code?” he asked while letting the door shut behind him, his cap lying on the seat as he brushed a hand through his hair, checking his forehead for any bump. he felt nothing under his fingers but heated skin meaning that his forehead was probably bright red at the moment. break and enter. was his reply and edward furrowed his brows while he took the extra steps to meet up with his partner side by side, approaching the house. he was ordered to investigate the scene and nodded, moving around to the side of the house while his partner went to talk to the neighbor who had put in the distress call in the first place. raising an eyebrow, he noted the shattered glass that was now at his feet, looking to the window and raising an eyebrow as it appeared that a blunt object had been thrown through it. he lifted himself up onto the ledge of the window, crawling through the hole that was created and landing into the house with a crash, and a small cut on his arm from the glass. blinking, he gave a look around the house, reaching for his gun and ready to pull it as he gave the room a surveillance and reached for his radio, ”house appears to be clear..” and got a 104 back, meaning it was understood. nothing looked out of place or missing from what he could tell, but one step closer to the lit up kitchen and a noise caught his attention. ”police!” he shouted, letting the intruder be known that they are not alone and on top of that, the intruder was in the presence of the law.[/div]

THIS POST IS THE PERFECT BRAINTWIN CHERRY WITH HER CHARACTER, RACHELLE . Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more I would forget my key inside the bloody house. the young woman was mentally scolding herself as she looked up at the place. a nice day out, exploring the new area that she was currently residing in would result in this kind of thing. she looked inside her purse once again, flipping through the contents to make sure that she wasn’t missing something. but her suspicions were confirmed, if it wasn’t in there and if it wasn’t in the car, then it had to be in the house. now that she thought of it, she couldn’t remember taking it out anywhere. without another thought, she slipped off her shoes, and marched straight towards the nearest window "should have worn heels. ahh well." despite the entire situation, a small laugh escaped as she used one of the flats to break the window. the first hit and the glass shattered some. it was the next two that did the work, breaking enough of it to crawl through and then resuming to put her shoes back on. her first mistake had been forgetting the keys in the first place, her second was obviously not looking around to see if there were any bystanders that were currently watching her. pushing some shards of glass away, she crawled right in, wincing slightly as one of the pieces still managed to create a small cut on her hand, though it was hardly enough to make it bleed – and then making a mental note to call someone that could repair the glass later. of course, as she walked further into her new place, the first thing she spotted, right there in the middle of the couch:it was the keys. she had left the place in such a rush that morning, and she hadn’t had time to add them to her car keys yet. besides, this would have never happened if the door didn’t just automatically lock behind her. she went straight to the kitchen, deciding that she could worry about the pieces of glass later, make some tea and then maybe call her sister to tell her about the events that had just occurred. the pair of them would probably get a good laugh out of it, especially considering that they had forgotten bree’s car keys inside the car once. While rachelle had been doubled over with laughter that night, bree had been bawling her eyes out to their parents on the phone as she told them the details. that was how it went with her older sister – it could go both ways, that they would either share the exact same reaction, or bree would freak out and think of all the horrendous scenarios that could result from something. that’s what made them different, rachelle didn’t like to fret about much, while bree had her days. then again, the situation was different this time, considering that the car incident had been in the middle of nowhere, and in the middle of the night.
the teabag barely made its way into the pot when she looked up, startled at a sudden crash that came from within the house. "bloody hell." she whispered under her breath, before following her first instinct and grabbing a knife, and edging toward the exit of the kitchen as she heard a masculine voice. police! that was when she moved right out, knife still in hand, needing to see it to believe it. "take one step and… oh." what had started off as a warning tone was replaced with one of surprise. she looked from the officer to the knife in her hand, setting it down on the table, deciding that it was probably best not to threaten an officer with that. today just wasn’t the kind of day where she wanted to get shot at. maybe if she was actually in some real trouble, but… "you know, officer, last I checked I’ve actually been pretty… decent for the past week." a mysterious grin flashed on her features for just a moment before it disappeared. it was followed by quirk of an eyebrow, as she placed a hand on her hip. even with that, her mind was going through a little path of events, in an attempt to make sure that what she was saying was actually the truth. rachelle was the type that was used to getting into all kinds of trouble, but she was also one that was able to keep track of that. not to mention, she was usually able to handle which ones she would actually get in trouble for. so far, she hadn’t done anything in south carolina that would deem a visit from the police. she kept her eyes set on the young officer as she waited for an answer, eyes flicking towards the window for a moment, but hardly thinking that could be the reason for the visit. people weren’t that paranoid here, were they? "so, to what – and whom - do I owe this visit?" |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][/style][atrb=style, width: 525px; border-bottom: 20px #4F2520 solid, bTable]ALREADY TOLD YOU THAT FALLING IS EASY it's getting back up that becomes the problem [style=height: 317px; width: 250px; margin-right: -520px; font-size: 8.5px; font-family: tahoma; text-align: justify; line-height: .9; text-transform: lowercase; overflow: auto; scrollbar-base-color:#A36954; color: #000;]the tree climbing was bad enough but as the male looked to the window that he had to shimmy through, he let out a low sigh and hung his head for a moment. silently, he was depressed to the idea of having to actually make another attempt to climb but the second part of him was listening for any unusual sounds coming from the house such as screaming, begging, thumping or anything that fell into the category of a distress call—but nothing. he heard silence which caused his head to rise and his eyebrow to raise in wonder about that which meant that it might not be a break-in but the call was still put in and things needed to be investigated. using the gutter that ran across the bottom of the house, he hoisted himself up with the aid of his athletic muscles and the windowsill that needed a bit of cleaning. his body now aching for only a moment before his foot slipped through the hole and he broke the remaining glass with his elbow, listening to the pieces crash to the floor. giving a small glance through the window, the rest of his body followed, careful about the sharp edges of the jagged glass still attached to the edge of the window. falling to the floor, he ducked and covered while rolling through the small piece of glass and arose to his feet, brushing himself off with little regard to the small pieces lodged in the stitching of his pants. wincing as small nicks were given as his fingers moved past the shards, he reached for his gun at the sudden noise that was seemingly coming from the kitchen. ”police! stay where you are!” |
he shouted again, carefully taking cautious steps in an attempt to keep his back covered just in case there was more than one person in the house. his eyes caught sight of a rather nice looking female with a knife in her hand which resulted in edward’s hand to remain hovered over the weapon attached to his side as protocol and his own sense of survival kicking in. ”put the knife down m’am.” and she did so which caused his hand to drop to his side and his face to flush with embarrassment to the mistake that he had made. ”Ill pay for that window…” he said with a clearing of his throat in an awkward way that caused his feet to shift at the same time. glancing to the knife, he picked it up off the table and placed it further away from her, ”precaution.” he spoke with the idea that she could be manipulating the situation and actually turn around and stab him to death when his guard was down. but on the job, edward’s guard was never done and even with the beautiful brunette before him, he was still not going to let himself get too distracted, ”so you are not exactly new to the other end of the law..”, giving a knowing nod and then giving a glance around the surroundings. the house appeared to be secured and he cleared his throat once more, ”are you the owner m’am?” he asked, even though he was half sure of the answer that would be given. it was all about procedure here and with a house call such as the one that was made, he needed to make sure that this house was actually owned by a woman named rachelle, who very well might not be the girl that was standing in front of him. ”some identification would make this easier..” he said, moving to take the hat off his head and placing it on the table as he spoke into his radio about everything being secure but there was a code that he gave that meant to wait for further instructions until he was assured that this woman did happen to be the owner of the house. ”oh we got a disturbance call about glass breaking from a few different houses. supposedly, you made quite a racket when breaking into your house…” and then he produced a pen and a pad from his side, flipping through the pages of the integrations over the last few days and finally came across a blank one, ”why is it that you happened to break the window to your own home?” he asked, not using names because that was already known but he did not want her to know that. he had to remain unbiased but coy at the same time which was proving to be difficult as he looked up to her with a raised eyebrow and pen poised, ready to take her statement. the radio on his shoulder began to produce a static sound, his commanding officer asking if he was alright and producing yet another code to insure that everything was secure as the girl before him look harmless, a little wild with a rebellious gleam in her eye, but nothing that edward could not handle if the situation came to it. his pen began to scribble across the paper as she spoke, his eyes flitting to her features every so often, looking for an indication of a liar. .[/div]

THIS POST IS THE PERFECT BRAINTWIN CHERRY WITH HER CHARACTER, RACHELLE . Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more the fact that she was overpowered at the moment, - what with him having a gun at hand, and her having a knife that was now a foot away from her – made her slightly uneasy. she didn’t enjoy the feeling one bit, and luckily enough for her, it only lasted for a moment. as she watched some more colour appear on his cheeks, she decided that there was probably no need to think of reaching back for the knife. the man in front of her seemed to be calm enough, at least to the point where he didn’t look like he was going to go gun crazy on her. green eyes glanced to the shattered window as he cleared his throat and yet again, a hint of a smile shadowed across her features. the male was offering to pay for a window that he wasn’t solely responsible for breaking – after all, she was the one that had damaged it in the first place… he had merely added to it. as her eyes cast down to the shards of glass that were sparkling on the floor, her slender shoulders gave a light shrug, ‘it needed to be replaced, anyway...’ |
the young woman trailed off as she watched him move forward and place the knife further away from her. as if she was actually going to ruin her life over a small misunderstanding. despite those thoughts, she was still amused by the whole situation, and she put her hands up, as if in defense, ‘I promise that I’m not going to pull any surprise moves.’ before letting them drop back down to her side. as he asked his question, she moved back slightly to let herself rest on the wall, as it seemed that she was most likely going to be getting questioned for a little while. ‘maybe.’ was all she said, not giving much away as she liked to keep it that way. however, she looked him over once more: definitely handsome, seemed to be around her age, clean cut… even with the way that he was speaking, he seemed to be the perfect gentleman. she wondered how he had gotten into this career path – if it was something that he had either been pushed into, or if he had dreamed about being a cop since he had been a child. or maybe, there had been some type of plot twist in this story of his life and he had been some type of criminal who had turned to the lawful side. it was usually easy to tell with people, to read a little bit into their background stories, but she couldn’t really do that with him. she spoke on though, ‘you can’t tell me that you haven’t broken a few rules – or, as you say, stepped into the other side of the law – at least once…’ the brunette gave a nod as she was asked if she were the owner, but she used her elbows to prop herself off of her position on the wall anyway. and just as she had suspected, he was asking her for some piece of ID. it all made sense, it was all part of procedure, as he said. she moved past him to get to the purse that she had dropped near the couch, skimming through the places in the cardholder before pulling out her license. the card never left her hand as he continued to speak, making her look out the window to the potential owners that had rung in the fake emergency. it was then that a soft laugh managed to escape through her lips, and she shook her head, ‘a racket.’ repeating the word that he had just used ‘huh. perhaps my mum was right when she mentioned neighbourly gift baskets – apparently that’s what you’re meant to do when moving into a new place? or is it the other way around…’ as in, weren’t the people that had lived there already supposed to be giving baskets of goods to her? an elderly couple had already dropped off an apple pie for her on her first day, but that had been all. anyway, her point was that maybe if she had done that, then they wouldn’t be on her case about a tiny thing like that. either that, or maybe she needed to move on with it and socialize with these people some more so they would actually remember that she lives there. it would have been rather offending if she wasn’t so new. ’I suppose it’s because I’ve just moved here, I ought to introduce myself to everyone.’ that was followed by a roll of her eyes. it wasn’t that she didn’t enjoy meeting new people, because she did. she just wasn’t entirely sure how she was going to manage to keep a straight face while introducing herself to people that had thought that she was some type of criminal. as she watched him flip through his notebook, she finally handed him her card, eyes casting down to take a peek at what he was scribbling in there, before looking into his eyes as he began to speak once more. ‘simple: I forgot my keys and I don’t have a roommate to open the door. it was the only solution, really.’ as she listened to him speak into the radio, and waited for him to take a look at her identification, she glanced back at the kitchen. after a moment of debating, she looked at the officer, ‘would you fancy some tea?’ a look to the small damage that the window had done to him, ’and maybe something to heal those?’ [/div]
