A PLACE WHERE OUT HEARTS CAN FEEL AT HOME, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE IT ON OUR OWN OPEN , 894 , PENCILSKIRT&BLOUSE , SHE'S LOST..CONFUSED..LONELY. it had just occurred to the young woman to examine her life while she was restocking the bra sizes that her entire head could fit in, but her thoughts could not. caroline scrunched her eyebrows together, sliding the straps through the plastic hangers and placing them up by size, the cups growing smaller and smaller. she reached her own size, picking the bra up out of the box and pursed her lips as she stared at the rather exusite bra that would any guy would droll over if he saw it on a woman. it was red, with lace woven through every piece of the cup, band and straps that gave it a real sex appeal and yet, she could not find anything besides a bra in it. she did not see it as a device that could be used to lure a male into her arms, and that thought never really caught her attention in the slightest. twenty one, fresh out of school and her life was this—a saleswoman. currently, she had been demoted to stocks as her fingers took a handful of hangers assembly lined looking bras, with no difference between them but the size and strolled out of the back room with her goods in hand. her eyes fell upon couples, feeling fabrics of negligees that would be worn that night or saved for a special occasion. ”excuse me” [/b] she spoke with each pass between the racks and the couples, or the friends. sliding past a rather young couple, caroline took a moment to gauge their age before clearing her throat and pushing the headset off her head, feeling as though someone was going to be listening to the conversation. sliding the hangers into place, she turned to the young couple, giving them a friendly smile, ”is there anything that I can help you with?”[/b] she asked politely but her tone held a little bit of a disappointment as she guessed the ages to be about sixteen and in caroline’s mind, that was no room for sex at that age. she remembered being sixteen, studious, just discovering herself and thinking that the world was going to hand her jobs if she did the work to get there. obviously, that mindset had changed and she maybe saw a little bit of her sixteen year old self in the girl as caroline had no siblings to relate to or look up or down upon. she was not a role model for anyone, she was not really protected or cared about by too many people because her entire life surrounded her mother and herself. the girl gave caroline a look up and down, looking to the pencil skirt, then to the blouse and finallt meeting her ice blue eyes before snorting and shaking her head, no, I think we got this under control… and with caroline gave a nod to the couple and turned on her heels. she had nothing more to say because caroline could not actually think of anything to say. if she had been able to write something down, it would have been better. sliding the headphone back onto the top of her head and hitting the small button on the headset, she mumbled into the microphone, ”should I take my hour now denise?”[/b] she asked for guidance in which was given the seal of approval and caroline strolled out of her workstore and headed to the food court. there was one thing that she needed, her body craving for the caffeine and even just the taste of something as delectable as a coffee. the starbucks was not too far away from the store as victoria secret was put into a general area that was both visible and popular and that meant it was situated in the most popular part, the food court. standing in line for ten minutes, her headphones now around her neck and her blouse untucked from her skirt, she felt more at ease. she ordered her usual, paying the full price despite the protest of the cashier and walked over to the waiting area, her hand eager to wrap around the cup. ever so often, she would move the headphone back into ear, swearing that she could hear her name or something being said. turning around, she noticed a male standing there with his own set of headphones into his ear that was blaring which was what she mistook as her own coworkers talking. sighing, she finally got the first sip out of the way before she even put a lid to the cup and wiggled her way through the crowd with her coffee in hand and her cellphone in the other. dialing the number, she ended up with her mother’s voicemail and gave a small sip of coffee while waiting for the winded message to end. ”mom, you have to go shorten that…it takes five whole minutes.”[/b] and suddenly she felt her shoulder collide into something hard and she dropped her coffee in shock, ”shit, uh..just hit someone and my coffee is...down.”[/b] and she pressed the end call button on the screen before bending down, using the small napkin that was in her hand to wipe up the large mess, ”shoot shoot shoot..”[/b] she muttered, not wanting to leave the mess as she picked up the cup and sighed, ’so stupid.”[/b]. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 375px; border-left: 10px solid #FF9900; border-right: 10px solid #FF9900; padding: 10px; border-radius: 50px; -moz-border-radius: 50px;] [style=width:284px; text-align: justify; padding: 18px; border-top: 4px solid #FF9900; border-bottom: 4px solid #FF9900; border-radius: 50px; -moz-border-radius: 50px; line-height: 9px; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; color: 434343; text-transform: lowercase;]Walter wasn’t really a shopper, he didn’t go and spend hours looking through the stores for the perfect shirt or jeans. He went in, found his size, grabbed a few things, and then paid and got the hell back out of there. This was different though since he wasn’t here to just get more clothes though he probably should stop somewhere and find some more shirts because the ones he had were either stained or ripped in places for the most part. He had “work shirts” but they didn’t count since he only wore them when working. He was actually looking to get a present for his little sister Willow since her birthday was coming up and he was still clueless what he wanted to get her. She was hard to shop for because her tastes changed and were more and more often out of his price range but he’d saved up for her. He was that big brother who would beat the shit out of a guy who looked at his sister wrong and who was wrapped around her fingers in the sense that she asked he agreed to most things. He knew it was ridiculous but he couldn’t help it since it had always been that way with them.
Looking in store windows he stepped into a few places that seemed promising to look around and always stepped back out without a bag in his hands. His leather jacket hung heavy on his shoulders in a familiar and comfortable weight as he ignored the looks he was getting from sales clerks who probably thought it was odd someone like him was looking in the higher-end stores for anything. One of the women had been quite condescending and he’d been very tempted to leave the store with a “no your merchandise is crap fuck you very much for your non-help.” It was only the reminder that he was meeting with his “head doc” tomorrow that kept the words from leaving his lips. He was supposed to be trying to avoid comments like that or fights at all because it was part of his being a better person and not fighting his way needlessly through life thing his mom was big on. Personally he figured fighting had worked in the past if not well then well enough but he knew he couldn’t keep going that way. He’d end up in jail or dead one day and neither of those options sounded appealing to Walter so he was working on “being a better person” to avoid it.
Getting closer and closer to giving up as he walked around he gave in and dialed his mother’s number getting her on the second ring and sighing, ”I’m waving the white flag on finding a present without assistance. What the hell does she want this year?” he asked knowing his mom would know what he was talking about since he’d talked to her earlier about going shopping when she’d called to see how he was doing. Hearing her light laughter on the other end of the line he didn’t feel angry or upset she was laughing at him but enjoyed the sound knowing how precious his mother’s laughter really was since he’d been there through the time where she never laughed and always seemed to be on the verge of tears. ”Well this year she’s been bugging me for a Wii? I’m waiting till Christmas on that one though so don’t get that. Why not get her a gift card? You know she likes shopping.” came her answer and he sighed shaking his head to himself. ”I don’t want to give a gift card there’s no thought behind that. Does she wear necklaces or bracelets or anything?” he asked falling back on the belief that all women enjoyed jewelry and that his sister would be no different. He could find something cute she could wear to school dances or just whenever maybe? ”She wears both but necklaces more often than bracelets. Nothing too gawdy and she likes silver but white gold is just as good and doesn’t turn her skin green.” his mom said thoughtfully and he nodded to himself. ”Good to know. Thanks mom. Talk to you later.” he said hearing her say love you and bye before they both hung up and he began looking around for somewhere he could get jewelry for a fifteen year old.
The smell of the food court distracted him though and woke his stomach up causing it to growl loudly. Glancing at the time on his phone before tucking it back in his pocket he figured it was as good a time as any to grab a bite and something to drink making his way over. He made his way into the line for taco bell getting his food and skipping on a drink in favor of some coffee because the smell coming from starbucks was just calling his name. Making his way over he stopped to wait and consider if the line was too long for him or if he had the patience to deal with it today. The feeling of something…no someone slamming into him earned a frustrated growl from Walt as he turned on the person hearing her seemingly talking to herself about her coffee being down and things. ”For fucks sake…Walk much?” he snapped and in his mind he heard the harpy who made money off his issues scolding him for being snappy and rude with a stranger. He hated having that woman’s voice in his head. Hated it even more when she was right and he sighed watching as she tried to mop up the mess of her coffee with a single napkin. ”Sorry…here…let me help.” he said crouching down and digging in his taco bell bag for the napkins there using them to help clean up the mess. ”Are you okay?” he asked figuring his shoulder was pretty hard and boney so it would be considered “nice” to ask and make sure she hadn’t been hurt.

A PLACE WHERE OUT HEARTS CAN FEEL AT HOME, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE IT ON OUR OWN OPEN , 1042, PENCILSKIRT&BLOUSE , SHE'S LOST..CONFUSED..LONELY. she wished that she could change a few things about herself, one would be her inability to walk and talk at the same time while juggling coffee. she had not actually expected to run into anyone this time but the phone message that dragged on distracted her as she was more focused on listening to the beep than paying attention to the people surrounding her. it was a mistake, one that resulted in her coffee cup slipping from her hand and smashing to the floor, the lid popping open and spilling the coffee all over the place. her life needed to be analyzed more and her choices needed to be changed but right now, she had bigger fish to fry as her coffee’s small spill was turning into a large puddle that would no doubt cause a hazard for someone who was like her. wincing, to the voice though, she pushed her phone into her blazer pocket, tucking it away and ignoring the vibration coming from it that alerted her of a call. she pulled the headset from off her head and let it dangle around her neck while looking up to the person that she had collided with. his shoulder was bony which was resulting in the impact spot, her own shoulder, to be producing a small dull pain that she was sure was going to bruise. raising an eyebrow, her shoulders raised in a shrug and she muttered, ”…well usually I hover but…you know..” [/b], sarcasm laced in her words but they were under her breath and she was not even sure that he heard her. being the submissive girl, people pleasing pushover that she had grown accustomed to being, she shook her head once more and repeated her answer but with different words and a louder volume, ”usually, I apologize though, my mother’s answering machine message was distracting me. the woman babbles on for five minutes about how to leave the message and I was waiting for the beep.”[/b] which was probably more than even the male had to know, but she just wanted him to be aware that it was not at all her intention to hit him, or to drop her coffee to the ground and give the cleaning staff an even harder life. she bent down, holding the hem of her skirt to keep it from rising up and revealing anything more than her legs. she pulled the napkin out of her hand and gave it a look for a moment, trying to imagine that it was growing to grow in size and be large enough for the even larger coffee spill. it remained the same size though and she let out a low sigh while dropping the small brown square onto the spill, ”should make it more absorbent..”[/b] as that small square did little to quell the large puddle of coffee. she wished that it would have just seeped back into the cup and she could proceed to drink the much needed caffeine because at this point in the day, the girl was tired. it would never really show though as she was forced to have a lively look to her when entering her workplace, a faux smile even if her eyes read that she was exhausted. the girl had been waiting for letters or emails to come back with anything that gave an indication of another job, a step closer to her career but she had not heard a single word. her phone was constantly on the lookout for alerts, hooked up to her email and facebook account just incase an employer contacted her on either mode. her brows furrowed, torn between getting up and walking away and leaving the mess for someone else or walking to get more napkins but she did not want to give anyone the wrong impression. suddenly, the spill became smaller as she noticed more napkins dropping onto the puddle and turned her head, noticing the same boy from earlier sacrificing his own napkins. her cheeks burned a small tint of pink, nodding, ”I appreciate it. thanks…”[/b] and gave the coffee one more longing look before she began to gather the soaked up napkins, swiping the tiled floor with them and rising to her feet. she looked to the male and then to the napkins, holding up her finger for him to stay put as she rushed to the garbage can and discarded the napkins before returning to the spot. the cup had also disappeared as a cleaning lady passed by them, swiping it out of her hand, ”uh..”[/b] she muttered but then turned her attention back to the male, ”not my intended coffee break but oh well..”[/b], her fingers playing with the wire that connected the radio to the headset around her neck. she finally got a good look at him and noticed that he was not the average good looking guy but he had quite a bit to offer the world at the same time. her eyes lingered for a moment before looking around the food court to see that the line for the coffee was longer than it had originally been when her break had first started. she had an hour to kill, to do nothing at all or to return to the store early. she was not impulsive in the slightest and would never think of leaving the mall to go get something to eat in fear of being called back to work only two seconds later. sticking her hand out, she did the only thing that really came to mind and that was to continue to waste her time while talking to the boy, ”I’m caroline, the klutz..”[/b] she added for good measure, assuring him that he was dealing with someone that was not exactly right when it came to balance, clearly demonstrated by the still slightly stained tile floor nearby. the hand thing was her own professionalism coming into play and she was unsure if people even shook hands anymore, maybe they fist pumped? high fived? she realized that maybe she was being far too traditional but it was a little too late to turn back now as her hand rested in mid-air, waiting for an action to be taken by the other party. Shopping at the mall hadn’t been something he was looking forward to doing and he was remembering why. It wasn’t the girls fault, she’d made a mistake and with the crowds in the food court you ended up basically having to bump into people to get by other people so there was just no avoiding it in truth. Didn’t make him like it any more but it made him try to be rational and quell his anger down a bit. His mouth tended to lash out before the rest of him sometimes and that was the case today as he snapped at her about her walking skills. He didn’t exactly regret it in truth but he knew it wasn’t right to lash out at people for mistakes so he tried playing the nice guy card. In the crowd her muttered response was practically lost but he heard the word “hover” and snorted guessing at what she had to say in his own mind. Hearing as she spoke louder though he nodded and chuckled actually amused by that little fact and understanding it, ”My mother explains exactly what reasons there are to leave a message on her voicemail since she seems to think the world is full of people who don’t do that often and don’t know why a message is important at times?” he said shrugging to himself. ”So I guess I can understand that.” he finished unsure why he felt the need to add his own two cents on the matter.
Watching as she bent to clean up the mess he couldn’t help but notice how she held onto her skirt and had a moment to be impressed that she bothered since there were plenty of women who could care less if a skirt rode up and showed everything these days. Hell he’d known a woman or two how did it intentionally for the attention it gained so seeing her try to avoid it made the girl come across as classy or something for not being that kind of woman. One napkin would never fully clean the mess of a full cup of coffee and he wouldn’t need so many napkins as he’d grabbed since sometimes to get the things out of the dispenser you ended up having to grab a ridiculous stack of them. Using the extra bulk of his to help her clean the mess he nodded a little as she said she appreciated it, ”No big deal. I have spares a plenty today because they wouldn’t come out less I took a chunk of them.” he said getting as much of the mess cleared as possible and watching as she held up a finger at him in the universal “one moment” sign and he sighed straightening up to his full height again watching as she got rid of the napkins and her cup was nabbed. He couldn’t help but chuckle and shake his head at that and tucked a hand into his pocket the bag with his lunch looped around that wrist. ”Well that was nice of her I suppose.” he commented sarcastically as the woman disappeared into the crowd. Focusing back on the woman who had spilled her coffee he watched as she played with the cord of the headset around her neck and had to figure she worked in one of the stores there. Just thinking about the stores reminded him he would have to go back out and “shop” some more once he’d eaten and he didn’t want to deal with thinking too much about how he still had very little clue what to buy for his sister right now so he pushed the thoughts aside to focus on the woman in front of him.
She was an eye-catcher of a woman, cute but with something about her that was sexy as hell as well. He wasn’t sure but it seemed unintentional if he went from her posture and the way she spoke. Slipping back into his spot in line he stared down the man who opened his mouth to complain about how he had stepped out of line and when he looked away Walt let his eyes drift back to the woman. The line had doubled by now and there was no way he was going to get in the back of it because he’d done a “good deed” for someone who’d walked into him. There were maybe ten people ahead of him now and in a long line it was a good place to be rather than at the end. ”What was your intended break like if not walking into total strangers and losing your hard-earned coffee?” he asked his question seeming to be delayed because he’d been a little when she’d made her comment but he didn’t care. Watching as she stuck her hand out to shake his and introduced herself as Caroline the Klutz he lifted an eyebrow before reaching out his hand sliding from under the cuff of his jacket sleeve as he took it and shook to be polite even though it was a little formal for this setting. ”Nice to meet you? I’m Walter the…Chivalrous I guess since I helped you clean it up? Or maybe the wall since you ran into me pretty hard.” he said his tone holding a hint of amusement as he studied her a moment curious. ”Tell you what. We’ll act like it was my fault and I’ll buy you a replacement since getting back in this line for another would be a pain in the ass I’d suspect.” he suggested surprising himself but hearing his doc’s voice in his head congratulating him on being nice to a stranger rather than pissed off at being ran into and having to clean someone else’s mess.

A PLACE WHERE OUT HEARTS CAN FEEL AT HOME, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE IT ON OUR OWN SASS/WALTER <3 , 1093, PENCILSKIRT&BLOUSE , OH THE TWO OF THEM.. the collision had caused a dull pain in her shoulder and a wonderment of just how skinny this male to have such an impact. the moment was lost and a coffee had become an after thought for the girl as the time left in her break was long enough to go get a proper meal and maybe this was the sign indicating that is what she should have done in the first place. coffee, though delicious and satisfying, was not going to keep her on her feet for the next four hours that she had left of her shift, proper nutrition would. caroline was fully aware of this but she was just a little more focused on that jolt of energy to get her through rather than thinking of the long run. the spill that was spreading across the floor was enough of a sign for her to realize that her stomach longed for something more and coffee might not be on the menu for the time being. chuckling as the male explained the similarities of their mothers she shook her head, ”times like these make you really think of home.” [/b], though her mother was living in a city not too far from myrtle beach, it felt more like a lightyear away. ”and that is interesting enough. my mother’s messages can range from having nothing to do with actually leaving a message to explaining everything that she ate for lunch..”[/b] giving a shrug as though it as nothing. caroline had gotten used to the quirkness of her mother long ago and though some people did not understand how she came out so normal, caroline was proud to call herself a daughter. she played with the wire once more, adjusting it with her fingers as it started to feel as though it was tightening around her neck, or maybe that was just the idea of returning back to the store and finishing her shift. ”mothers and technology.”[/b], basically summarizing everything that needed to be said about the inner working of their mother’s mind when it came to the phone. ”or me and technology too..”[/b] she mumbled as the wire had been getting tighter because it had wrapped around the charm that was attached to the chain around her neck. grumbling, she unhooked the wire from the walkie talkie, producing a loud beep from the device that was tucked onto the waistband of the skirt and she scrambled to turn the volume off, plugging the wire back in and giving him a sheepish look complete with rosy cheeks, ”sorry! …”[/b] she shouted out, shaking her head and moving the wire around. ”if you can still hear me anyway..”[/b] she added because regardless of how sweet the girl was, sarcasm and pop culture would still be there as well. nodding, she proceeded to take the napkins and wipe up the rest of the mess. she had started to use her foot to swipe the napkins but found that her shoe was getting the material caught and bent down at the knees instead, being sure to keep the material of her skirt from rising higher. her skirt was already a little too high for her tastes but the store that she worked for was not exactly known for it’s modesty. ”ah. well I guess it came in handy…thank you, again.’[/b] she muttered before the cup was swiped out of her hand. a blank expression followed by pure confusion crossed her face as she whipped her head around to follow the woman’s figure as she walked away, glancing down to her empty hand, ”that was quick, she’s like the flash or something..”[/b], dropping her hand after the shock wore off only moments later. her hand tingled, craving the touch of the material of a coffee cup to be there, her fingers brushing against her own palm, rubbing the burning skin as though a piece of her was torn away. at this point in the day, so far into her shift, it was like a piece of her had been ripped away but caroline was going to look on the bright side and admit that she was pretty pleased to be talking to someone besides the people in the headset. ”well, all honesty would be a nice cup of coffee, turn the headset off so I don’t look like a schizo talking to herself and get my mind off work and maybe people watch…”[/b], she wondered if that last part sounded a little creepy. she had always liked to observe other people’s behavior and see how they reacted to the world around them but she had never actually taken a personal interest in it so far as to make it her major when she had been in school. it was just a hobby, something to pass the time and it was not as if the young girl followed anyone around except that one time but caroline will insist that he dropped his wallet and was trying to return it. she looked down to her hand for reassurance that she was not that old fashioned but the hesitation and the lift of the eyebrow gave an indication that it was not the usual greeting that he was accustomed to. caroline was going to chalk it up to the idea that she just happened to have a more professional outlook on life or that she was always ready to make a professional impression—though bumping into him and dropping, and spilling, her coffee was not exactly the best first impression. ”walter. not a modern day name..”[/b] and then she wanted to face palm right then and there, her head shook and she cleared her throat, ”try that again…it’s nice to meet you as well.”[/b] and then she pulled her hand away, reaching to shut off the radio as the voices started up again. she raised an eyebrow to the proposal that was offered, looking to the line with a longing gaze at the thought of gaining another coffee, the substance that would allow her to stay awake for the time that she needed to be, ”that’s such a burden and my shift ends in about thirty minutes, which is probably double the wait time at this point. they should hand out little cups of water for this marathon to the register..”[/b], giving a small chuckle with a shake of her head, ”I’ll just run on adrenaline for the time being but…”[/b] and suddenly, she felt her cheeks burn to a light pink, giving him a reassuring smile, ”thanks for the offer.[/div][/center]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 375px; border-left: 10px solid #FF9900; border-right: 10px solid #FF9900; padding: 10px; border-radius: 50px; -moz-border-radius: 50px;] [style=width:284px; text-align: justify; padding: 18px; border-top: 4px solid #FF9900; border-bottom: 4px solid #FF9900; border-radius: 50px; -moz-border-radius: 50px; line-height: 9px; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; color: 434343; text-transform: lowercase;]Walter had to wonder how distracted the woman was if she could walk into people without realizing they’d been around. She had to have seen that there were people everywhere in here today right? He wasn’t going to snap at her and be an ass though, he’d do the right thing and be nice about it for a change since normally being an ass was the “norm” for him generally. He thought he was doing all right with the “being nice” she didn’t seem ready to yell at him and he hadn’t yelled at her at all so that was a big plus in his book. Maybe with enough time he’d not even need to see the councilor anymore because he’d have his shit sorted and could seem way more normal than he actually was which would make his councilor deem him “healed” or something. A man could dream. Hearing her speaking he pushed away his thoughts of seeming normal and days without his councilor having to be in his head sorting him out and focused once again. Her mention of home had him nodding without thinking about the action knowing her mentioning her own mom brought his to mind and honestly he’d have thought of her any way since he was doing the “nice” thing for her benefit so she would have a normal and “healthy” son some day.
He chuckled at what she said about her mother’s messages and shook his head a little in honest amusement, ”My mom isn’t there yet, her’s still make sense for the moment except I’m sure she’s headed down that path? They get more random with each update. The last one that didn’t detail how to leave a message was an attempt at the joke voicemail that makes people think you’ve answered. Only problem with that was she went “Hey there how are you? Oh I’m good.” And didn’t actually leave a pause for someone to answer and she was laughing like it was the greatest joke ever for about 3 minutes before explaining you got her voicemail.” he explained rolling his eyes with a smile at his own mother’s foolishness. He did love her and respect her but sometimes she was a bit crazy and he knew it. Nodding in agreement to her simple statement of “mothers and technology” he knew that was about all that needed said. ”You and technology too? I dare not ask.” he said good naturedly.
The sudden beep of the machine hooked to her waist that he assumed had something to do with work and keeping in touch with co-workers since he’d seen other sales people wearing them before had him lifting an eyebrow and shaking his head when she blushed and apologized. ”No worries.” he said simply and let out a quiet grunt of surprise as some guy’s shoulder made contact with his back after the guy had bounced off someone else while furiously typing into his own phone. Instincts kicking in he gave the asshole a shove hearing his called out “asshole” as the man kept going and rolled his eyes letting out a frustrated sigh and making a mental note to avoid food courts in the future no matter how hungry he ever got when forced to shop in the mall. Looking back at the girl nodding when she said thank you again snorting as she mentioned the flash. ”You know who the flash is? Slightly impressive.” he said without thinking knowing it was stupid to bring up stereotype of “girls don’t know comics” but not able to take back the words now that they were out there. Plenty of girls knew now or could guess either because of the comics themselves or because merchandise being everywhere these days.
He listened as she explained her idea of a break and lifted an eyebrow at the details of it since most people normally just said things like “not that” or “just grabbing a bite” instead of getting into details like not looking like a schizo and people watching with a headset off. He just nodded though instead of calling her out on detail-giving like he was tempted to do since he had asked and he shouldn’t ask things if he didn’t want answers according to anyone who’d given an answer and gotten some sort of snarky response from him for it. ”That sounds like a decent break…you’re right about it not being a good thing to look like you’re talking to yourself. That’s just weird.” he said only a little joking with the comment but totally true at the same time. The handshake was a little odd, not something he normally did with anyone because no one really shook hands anymore except in business settings. He figured some people were just old-fashioned like that in their actions though so went along with it so there wasn’t that awkward moment of “oh well this is odd a hand just sticking out there” kind of thing.
Hearing her comment about her name then the way she corrected herself with the “try that again” comment he shook his head a little at her finding himself to be surprisingly amused and interested right now. They weren’t two qualities he normally had when dealing with people because people were generally just annoying in his opinion but surprises happened all the time right? ”It’s not a modern name no, but it’s what I was given so I make it work. Hoping to start a trend.” he joked though his tone was dry not giving away that he was joking. Tucking his hand back where it belonged he watched her as she turned off the radio and looked at the line waiting for an answer to his offer. Her answer though wasn’t what he’d expected and he sighed shaking his head, ”Not really a burden…there are what…” he said turning his head to count the number of people in front of him before looking back to her. ”Six people in front of me and two of them have already given their orders and paid. Get in line with me and get a new coffee so you can run off the caffeine since adrenaline fades too fast but coffee seems to last.” he said motioning for her to step into the space beside him so she’d be in line as well. ”You can thank me once you have coffee in your hand.” he added offering her a small smile.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][/style][atrb=style, width: 525px; border-bottom: 20px #7C8170 solid, bTable]PEOPLE WALK PRETENDING NOT TO SEE and i don't know understand why everyone wants what they don't need [style=height: 317px; width: 250px; margin-right: -520px; font-size: 8.5px; font-family: tahoma; text-align: justify; line-height: 1; text-transform: lowercase; overflow: auto; scrollbar-base-color:#DBBBA2; color: #000;]caroline had continually told herself that she needed to watch where she was, she needed to keep her thoughts to a minimum and that the grip on her beloved coffee was tighter—but was always forgotten when the moment came. she stared down at her shoes for a moment, wondering exactly what she had been thinking of when they had collided but the thought was piling up into more thoughts that included what she had to do for the day, the bras that were mocking her from the back room that still needed to be hung up and the fact that her mother did have to be called back. she also began to think about the other lists that she had to, all put into different categories and one of which included to call back the potential employees and see if any of her applications had been looked at, or her impressive resume. fresh out of university, the diploma proudly hanging on her wall in her bedroom, staring her at her every single time that she woke up, it felt like her degree was going to waste by doing inventory in the mall but it was the only job that she could get at the moment. home was a thought too, thinking of the grocery list, the amount of cleaning that she had to do and the fact that she had resumes to still sent out, desiring and hoping for a phone call for somewhere at this point—anywhere. writing had never really gotten her anywhere but the editor of her school newspapers and some publication bylines but besides that, she achieved nothing and maybe it had all been a waste of time without her even realizing it until now. this was the point that caroline realized that her thoughts needed to cease and she had to focus on what was going on infront of her including a pile of coffee sitting at her feet and a male infront of her, apologizing and now speaking. shaking her head, she gave a nervous chuckle and said, ”pardon?” |
[/b], forgetting what they had even been talking about for a moment. she reentered the conversation halfway through is tangent and caught on rather fast, ”that’s…actually really cute. my mother thinks that saying “puppies” makes the message cute and that’s it. i really don’t understand..”[/b] she said, shaking her head with utter disappointment for her own mother’s humor which was lost on caroline. ”please don’t, too many horror stories..and two or three shocks..”[/b], and she meant actual electric current going between the wire and her skin, but that was just caroline’s luck which as of late, had not been all that spectacular. the voice began in her head and she quickly had to recall the headset that was attached to the inner part of her ear, pulling it out and wincing, ”they are loud..”[/b] she said quietly while moving her jacket side away in order to reach the radio part that was hooked to the waistband of her skirt. she raised an eyebrow to the sudden shoved and nearly reached into the middle of the argument but stopped herself, tilting her head to the side but then shrugging it off as he turned around to face her. caroline could not help but wonder if he was only being nice to her because she was a girl or if there was another alternative motive. she has words biting at her throat, wanting to express her confusion but she swallowed it all down and nodded, giving a shuffle of her feet and a sheepish chuckle, ”…well yea..i mean, cartoons, comic books but if you ask me anything about the marvel comic world and I’m out..”[/b], raising her hands in surrender. ”you know, just to deflate my own ego..”[/b] which was practically non-existent at this point in her life as she was becoming more and more doubtful of a job that actually pertained to her major. focusing back on the male before her, she had not actually meant to babble or to explain too much about herself and her plans for her break but they tumbled out too fast for her to stop it as she became nervous for a moment. ”..yea, I do it a lot but I swear I’m not crazy, just got a lot to say and no one to listen to?”[/b], but she failed to mention that things were small comments and usually said under her breath, and now she was quite certain that she sounded just a little insane. rubbing at the back of her neck, she suddenly shook her head to her own words as they were processed, ”I meant…like..”[/b] but it was rather hard to explain to a stranger when it all made sense to her. ”bringing back the oldie names, seem to be doing a good job…but that means you have to meet a lot of people in order to get the name circulating once more..”[/b] but her brows furrowed, not used to even speaking this much and it was evident with the speed of her words that were tumbling out of her mouth without little thought. ”I talk a lot…after a while of not speaking, really the bras are not very good listeners..”[/b] but again, she must have sounded insane and gave a small chuckle, looking away and licking her lips, ”I’m a “bra expert”[/b] as her title says on her name tag along with the title of supervisor, ”at victoria’s secrets”[/b] and there was no way that the male was not aware of what that store was. she glanced over his shouder, peering to see that there were in fact six people ahead of them and that number was being cut down just as they were speaking. giving a small smile in his direction, she felt bad for letting him pay but it seemed that the guilt tripping was not going to go away even if she walked away empty handed, and she figured that she might as well have a coffee to match. ”okay okay…you twisted my arm just way too much, but I get to buy the cookie that is now going along with the coffee.”[/b], nodding to the decision that had been made and stepping back in line behind him, ”so what brings you to the mall anyway?”[/b] she asked for the pure fact that caroline hated awkward silence and she thought a conversation, even a bland one, was better than listening to the sounds of nervous fidgeting and no words.[/div][/center][/td][/tr][/table][/center] THIS POST IS THE WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL SASSY SASS WITH HER CHARACTER, WALTER [/COLOR].
