[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][/style][atrb=style, width: 525px; border-bottom: 20px #DBBBA2 solid, bTable] YOU'LL BE MINE AND I'LL BE YOURS all i know is since yesterday, everything has changed [style=height: 317px; width: 250px; margin-right: -520px; font-size: 8.5px; font-family: tahoma; text-align: justify; line-height: 1; text-transform: lowercase; overflow: auto; scrollbar-base-color:#DBBBA2; color: #000;]sweat formed on the creases in her forehead as her brows furrowed together while lifting the heated hood of her old car. the thing was rather ancient, complete with out of date axels and chipped paint but there was no denying that it was her only mode of transportation and aria did everything that she could to keep the car running in the best shape possible. taking note of the few things that surrounded her including the black out sky, the smoke coming from the large, rather primeval engine and the fact that the road was deserted. a look of distress crossed over her features as she brushed a hand through her now blonde hair, letting out a low sigh with a shake of her head. at a loss for what to do, the girl slammed the hood back down and seated herself on the overheated metal, giving her thoughts a rack to figure out how to get herself out this situation. mulling over any friends that would come to her aid, aria recalled the fact that she was in a new city, far away from anyone reliable or even attainable at this moment and her students would not of any help as they were all little, about six or seven years old. smiling to herself, she thought to a funny antic one of her students acted out in class as they were told to stay silent, she had been rather aggressive then, explaining to the boy what quiet meant by reading the definition and then putting it into lament terms but it was rather comical now that she thought about it. rubbing at her bare arms, her head now ducked down, aria should not be left too long with her own thoughts before trouble ensued. she had to continually shake her head in the protest of overthinking things, paranoia setting in as she looked over both of her shoulders but saw nothing, but she felt like there was something. the feeling came in tremors up her back along side of a cold breeze that was carrying a rather unusal scent with it. glancing to her right, she noticed the cornfield and snorted to the irony and the similarties between her predicament and a horror movie set up. her hands ran up and down her bare arms, trying to heat her body in some way as the sun went down and the temperature followed, leaving a crisp environment around her. myrtle beach was a good place, she had decided this on her drive home from her friend’s party, dressed for the occasion in a short skirt and a blouse, professional and with a few buttons undone on her shirt, still proper for the kind of party that was thrown. all of those people were smashed by now, aria had only touched a drink or two before she had called it quits with a glance to the time. now she wished that she had taken her friend’s offer to drive because halfway between the party and her house, the engine light on the dashboard illuminating and aria’s breathing accelerated. she turned the car off instantly but that did not stop the smoke from seeping out the top of her hood, but it appeared that was all settled at this moment. rubbing at her forehead now, feeling a dull pain began to grow, she hopped off the hood and landed on the ground, catching herself with a hand on the hood as her heels slipped and she nearly face planted. recalling a jacket being somewhere in the vicinity of her car, aria moved to the passenger side and began to dig around the empty seat, finding her purse, wallet and then finally the coat that must have fallen when she had screeched to a halt at the side of the road. giving a glance to it, she raised an eyebrow to the paper sticking out of the pocket that could very well be her saving grace at this moment. sighing, she reached for the paper and unfolded it, revealing a business card for a man that she had happened to run into. it was completely by coincidence but the offer still stood that if she ever needed anything, to call. usually, she tried to remain independent but she did need assistance in this case and he had mentioned the word anything, purring it to her with a suggestive tone at the time. aria thought nothing of it but now, she was beginning to realize the intentions of his words. would calling cause those intentions to be answered upon? a guy was the last thing that the runaway needed at this moment, but a tow truck was also not a good idea with the idea of the horror movie now planted in her head. sighing, she reached into her other pocket and produced the cellphone, her fingers moved across the keyboard, typing in the handwritten number on the back and pressing the talk button. with a deep intake, she pressed the phone to her ear and listened to it ring once, then twice and then his voice. he sounded rather confident, addressing the person on the other end as though it was a business call, ”hey…uh, not sure if you remember me but you offered if I needed help that you would be there..” |
