The night had only just begun. By now, Biz was on her way to somewhere. Anywhere. Anywhere that could help her right now. She wasn't exactly sure where she was or how in the world she would be able to find her way to her destination. All she knew was, the blood was coming out fast, and she didn't have much time...
Biz stood outside, and it wouldn't be long until she would continue what she would call "the norm time". It was around 1:00 a.m. and knowing that she could only do this once, there was a lot of pressure. The house she eyed had caught her attention for two good reasons. One was the way that there were plenty of guards keeping watch in case of burglary, and the fact that she had no idea who lived there or what she could be getting into. A small part in the back of her mind told her that this probably wasn't the greatest idea, but the way she tried to ignore the thought just gave her even more adrenaline. The very thing she really needed to make it out of this alive.
The bushes were dense, and the sky was as dark as it could get for the time being. She knew she didn't have much time and it wouldn't be any easier the longer she droned out the situation. This house had been on her list for a while. Although she had already successfully taken down many houses around it, this was the one she wanted to do...alone. Biz didn't exactly want to admit it, but the way she was breaking into a house without Isaiah, felt like it was a little empty. He was her backup, the reason why they had made so many successful missions out into the shadows of the night. But tonight, Biz needed to do this alone.
Not more than two days ago, Zander was the first thing on her mind. And it didn't take much for him to break and tell her his true feelings about her. The regret sat in her stomach like a rock. Zander had promised her that he would never try to hurt her. Ever. And although she made the same promise back to him, she couldn't keep it very long. The night after, on a raid with Isaiah, something happened, and they ended up in the same sitaution they had before. A stranger's bed, sweat, and a lot of guilt from Biz. Biz knew that she had done nothing to help herself keep this going with Zander. But what was she to do? Nothing had been like this before. She had never been in a situation where she had genuinely cared for someone. And out of all those times that she could have screwed someone over, she chose Zander.
Shaking her head she hit herself once on the side. She needed to focus, this was no time for her to have her thoughts wandering off into a different dimention. She sat there in the bushes, a quick scan told her when she was ready to move. And with a quick motion, she moved into the next quickest hiding place. Unfotunately it was just another shrub, although it was closer to her target, it was still far enough away where she would have to make a run for it through a large area of nothing. Spending enough time with Isaiah in the past few days, she learned to keep an eye out for anything that could involve technology. By the way this looked, there were dozens of cameras, and for all she knew, the men guarding the place could have night vision as a way to stay on top of things. Biz began to sike herself out. She sat down all the way, and pressed her hands againts her forehead.
"Okay. Take a deep breath.." She took one look over the hedge just as she spotted one of the guards around the house. Ducking back down so she was out of sight she took in a deep breath "Don't act like you can't do this. You are....You are Elizabeth Dahlke dammit! You can do what no other woman can." The quick pep talk to herself was easier for her to talk about than to really put into action. Because just as she decided to move out from behind the bush, a sharp pain shot into the left side of her body. It was silent, quick, and definitely something that Biz did not expect. She had just been shot. This was the first time she had ever been hit with a speed of light piece of lead. The sensation at first was dizzying, but as soon as she heard the guard yell out, she started running.
Sprinting, she took off back into the nearest section of forest. It wasn't really dense enough for her to hide completely, but it was good enough for whoever had tried to kill her, to get confused by all the tall black walls in the way. Biz sprinted as fast as she could. She had brought the van with her, but it was five miles in the opposite direction. Biz had no idea what to do...but run. Jumping over logs and stepping over roots she didn't even realize how far away she had moved from the men chasing her. And she also didn't realize the giant log that was in her way as she turned around to look for the men. She fell over and pulled herself into a tight ball. She had fallen on the left side, the side where she had forgotten she was shot on. "Oh...god..." She groaned in agonizing pain. Whatever they used to shoot her, it was still all in one piece under her skin...
Biz army crawled, with every movement, sent another large pain up against her side. She tried to breathe, but it didn't seem to be working one bit. And after a good five minutes, she was back on her feet again. Hands covered in her own blood she pushed the thought out of her mind and sprinted.
